< Nnwom 77 >
1 Wɔde ma dwomkyerɛfoɔ. Wɔde ma Yedutun. Asaf dwom. Mesu mefrɛɛ Onyankopɔn srɛɛ mmoa; mesu mefrɛɛ no sɛ ɔntie me.
“For the leader of the music of the Jeduthunites. A psalm of Asaph.” I call upon God; I cry aloud for help; I call upon God, that he would hear me!
2 Ɛberɛ a mewɔ ahohiahia mu no, mehwehwɛɛ Awurade; metrɛɛ me nsa a ɛmpa aba mu anadwo na me kra ampene sɛ wɔbɛkyekye ne werɛ.
In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord; In the night is my hand stretched forth continually; My soul refuseth to be comforted.
3 Ao Onyankopɔn mekaee wo, na mesii apinie; medwendweneeɛ, na me honhom tɔɔ piti.
I remember God, and am disquieted; I think of him, and my spirit is overwhelmed.
4 Woamma mʼani ankum; amanehunu dodoɔ enti, mantumi ankasa.
Thou keepest mine eyelids from closing; I am distressed, so that I cannot speak!
5 Medwenee nna a atwam no ho, teteete mfeɛ no ho;
I think of the days of old, —The years of ancient times.
6 mekaee me nnwom a na meto no anadwo. Mʼakoma dwenee ho na me honhom bisaa sɛ:
I call to remembrance my songs in the night; I meditate in my heart, And my spirit inquireth:
7 “Enti, Awurade bɛpo yɛn daa? Ɔrenhunu yɛn mmɔbɔ bio anaa?
Will the Lord be angry for ever? Will he be favorable no more?
8 Nʼadɔeɛ a ɛnsa da atu ayera koraa anaa? Na ne bɔhyɛ no, amma mu koraa anaa?
Is his mercy utterly withdrawn for ever? Doth his promise fail from generation to generation?
9 Onyankopɔn werɛ afiri sɛ ɔbɛyɛ mmɔborɔhunufoɔ anaa? Abufuo enti ne yam nhyehye no bio anaa?”
Hath God forgotten to be gracious? Hath he in anger shut up his compassion?
10 Afei, medwenee sɛ, “Onyankopɔn Ɔsorosoroni, deɛ ɛhyɛ me kra so ne sɛ, wommfa wo tete nsa nifa no mmoa yɛn bio.”
Then I say, “This is mine affliction, A change in the right hand of the Most High.”
11 Mɛkae nneɛma a Awurade ayɛ; aane, mɛkae wʼanwanwadeɛ a woyɛɛ tete no.
I remember the deeds of Jehovah; I think of thy wonders of old.
12 Mɛdwene wo nnwuma nyinaa ho na masusu wo nneyɛɛ akɛseɛ nyinaa ho.
I meditate on all thy works, And talk of thy doings.
13 Ao Onyankopɔn, wʼakwan yɛ kronn. Onyame bɛn na ɔso sɛ yɛn Onyankopɔn?
Thy ways, O God! are holy! Who so great a god as our God?
14 Wone Onyankopɔn a woyɛ anwanwadeɛ; wokyerɛ wo tumi wɔ aman mu.
Thou art a God who doest wonders; Thou hast manifested thy power among the nations.
15 Wode wo tumi nsa no gyee wo nkurɔfoɔ, Yakob ne Yosef asefoɔ no.
With thy strong arm thou didst redeem thy people, —The sons of Jacob and Joseph.
16 Ao Onyankopɔn, nsuo no hunuu wo, nsuo no hunuu wo na wɔpopoeɛ; ebunu no mpo ho wosoeɛ.
The waters saw thee, O God! The waters saw thee, and feared, And the deep trembled.
17 Omununkum tɔɔ nsuo, aprannaa gyegyee wɔ soro; na wo bɛmma twaa ogya dii akɔneaba.
The clouds poured out water, The skies sent forth thunder, And thine arrows flew.
18 Wʼaprannaa boboom wɔ twahoframa no mu, wʼanyinam hyerɛn ewiase; asase popoeɛ na ɛwosoeɛ.
Thy thunder roared in the whirlwind; Thy lightning illumined the world; The earth trembled and shook.
19 Wode wo kwan faa ɛpo mu, wode faa nsuo kɛseɛ mu, nanso wɔanhunu wʼanammɔn.
Thy way was through the sea, And thy path through great waters; And thy footsteps could not be found.
20 Wonam Mose ne Aaron so dii wo nkurɔfoɔ anim sɛ nnwankuo.
Thou didst lead thy people like a flock, By the hands of Moses and Aaron.
