< Nnwom 74 >
1 Asaf dwom. Ao Onyankopɔn, adɛn enti na woapo yɛn koraa yi? Adɛn enti na wʼabofuo hye wʼadidibea nnwan?
A Psalme to give instruction, committed to Asaph. O God, why hast thou put vs away for euer? why is thy wrath kindled against the sheepe of thy pasture?
2 Kae nkurɔfoɔ a wotɔɔ wɔn teteete no, abusua a ɛyɛ wʼagyapadeɛ a wogyee wɔn no, Bepɔ Sion, baabi a woteɛ hɔ.
Thinke vpon thy Congregation, which thou hast possessed of olde, and on the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed, and on this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt.
3 Dane wo ho kyerɛ mmubuiɛ a ɛda so wɔ hɔ yi so, saa ɔsɛeɛ a ɔtamfoɔ no de abrɛ wo kronkronbea no.
Lift vp thy strokes, that thou mayest for euer destroy euery enemie that doeth euill to the Sanctuarie.
4 Wʼatamfoɔ bobɔɔ mu wɔ baabi a wohyiaa yɛn no; wɔasisi wɔn mfrankaa sɛ agyiraeɛhyɛdeɛ wɔ hɔ.
Thine aduersaries roare in the middes of thy Congregation, and set vp their banners for signes.
5 Wɔyɛɛ wɔn sɛ nnipa a wɔrehwim mmonnua de abubu nnua a ayɛ nkyɛkyerɛ.
He that lifted the axes vpon the thicke trees, was renowmed, as one, that brought a thing to perfection:
6 Wɔde wɔn mmonnua ne nname bubuu nnua a wɔasene adi ho adwinneɛ no.
But nowe they breake downe the carued worke thereof with axes and hammers.
7 Wɔhyee wo kronkronbea no dwerɛbee; wɔguu baabi a wo Din teɛ no ho fi.
They haue cast thy Sanctuarie into the fire, and rased it to the grounde, and haue defiled the dwelling place of thy Name.
8 Wɔkaa wɔ wɔn akoma mu sɛ, “Yɛbɛtiatia wɔn so ayɛ wɔn pasaa!” Wɔhyee baabiara a wɔsom Onyankopɔn wɔ asase no so.
They saide in their hearts, Let vs destroy them altogether: they haue burnt all the Synagogues of God in the land.
9 Yɛnhunu wo nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ a ɛyɛ nwanwa biara bio; adiyifoɔ no nyinaa asa, na yɛn mu biara nnim nna dodoɔ a ɛbɛdie.
We see not our signes: there is not one Prophet more, nor any with vs that knoweth howe long.
10 Ao Onyankopɔn, wʼatamfoɔ bɛsere wo akɔsi da bɛn? Wɔn a wɔkyiri woɔ no bɛgu wo din ho fi daa anaa?
O God, howe long shall the aduersarie reproche thee? shall the enemie blaspheme thy Name for euer?
11 Adɛn enti na woatwe wo nsa, wo nsa nifa no? Yi firi wʼatadeɛ mmobɔeɛ no mu na sɛe wɔn.
Why withdrawest thou thine hand, euen thy right hand? drawe it out of thy bosome, and consume them.
12 Nanso, Ao Onyankopɔn, woyɛ me ɔhene firi tete; wode nkwagyeɛ ba asase so.
Euen God is my King of olde, working saluation in the middes of the earth.
13 Ɛyɛ wo na wode wo tumi paee ɛpo mu no; wopɛkyɛɛ nsuo mu ɔtweaseɛ no ti.
Thou didest deuide the sea by thy power: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters.
14 Wopɛkyɛɛ Lewiatan no ti na wode no maa ɛserɛ so abɔdeɛ sɛ wɔn aduane.
Thou brakest the head of Liuiathan in pieces, and gauest him to be meate for the people in wildernesse.
15 Wo na womaa nsuwa ne nsutire tueeɛ; na womaa nsubɔntene a ɛtene weweeɛ.
Thou brakest vp the fountaine and riuer: thou dryedst vp mightie riuers.
16 Adekyeeɛ wɔ wo na adesaeɛ nso yɛ wo dea; wode owia ne ɔsrane sisii hɔ.
The day is thine, and the night is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sunne.
17 Ɛyɛ wo na wototoo asase so ahyeɛ nyinaa; wobɔɔ ahuhuro ne awɔ mmerɛ.
Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter.
18 Ao Awurade, kae sɛdeɛ ɔtamfoɔ no sere woɔ, sɛdeɛ nkwaseafoɔ agu wo din ho fi.
Remember this, that the enemie hath reproched the Lord, and the foolish people hath blasphemed thy Name.
19 Mfa wʼaborɔnoma nkwa mma nkekaboa; mma wo werɛ mfiri wo nkurɔfoɔ a wɔrehunu amane no nkwa afebɔɔ.
Giue not the soule of thy turtle doue vnto the beast, and forget not the Congregation of thy poore for euer.
20 Ma wʼapam no ho nhia wo, ɛfiri sɛ akakabensɛm ahyɛ asase no so sum ma.
Consider thy couenant: for the darke places of the earth are full of the habitations of the cruell.
21 Mma wɔn a wɔahyɛ wɔn soɔ no anim nngu ase; ma ahiafoɔ ne mmɔborɔfoɔ nkamfo wo din.
Oh let not the oppressed returne ashamed, but let the poore and needie prayse thy Name.
22 Ao Onyankopɔn, ma wo ho so na ka wo ara wʼasɛm; kae sɛdeɛ nkwaseafoɔ sere wo da mu nyinaa.
Arise, O God: mainteine thine owne cause: remember thy dayly reproche by the foolish man.
23 Mmu wʼani ngu wɔn a wɔsɔre tia wo no nteateam so, wʼatamfoɔ gyegyeegye a ɛkɔ soro daa no.
Forget not the voyce of thine enemies: for the tumult of them, that rise against thee, ascendeth continually.
