< Nnwom 71 >
1 Ao Awurade, wo mu na me dwane hinta; mma mʼanim ngu ase da.
In you, O Lord, I take refuge, let me never be put to shame.
2 Wo tenenee no enti, yi me na gye me; tie me na gye me nkwa.
In your faithfulness save me and rescue me, bend your ear to me and save me.
3 Yɛ me nkwagyeɛ botan faako a mɛtumi akɔ daa; hyɛ ma wɔmmɛgye me nkwa, na wo ne me botan ne mʼaban.
Be to me a rock of defence, a fortified house, to save me; for my rock and my fortress are you.
4 Ao me Onyankopɔn, gye me firi amumuyɛfoɔ nsam, gye me firi nnebɔneyɛfoɔ ne atirimuɔdenfoɔ nsam.
Save me, my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of the unjust and cruel.
5 Na woayɛ mʼanidasoɔ, Ao Asafo Awurade, mʼahotɔsoɔ firi mʼababunu berɛ mu.
For you, Lord, are my hope, in whom from my youth I have trusted.
6 Ɛfiri awoɔ mu, mede me ho ato wo so; wo na woyii me firii me maame yafunu mu. Mɛkamfo wo daa.
On you have I leaned from my birth; from my mother’s womb it was you who did draw me. In you is my hope evermore.
7 Mayɛ nhwɛsodeɛ ama bebree, nanso wo ne me dwanekɔbea denden.
I have been as a wonder to many, for you are my refuge and strength.
8 Wo nkamfo ahyɛ mʼanom ma, mekamfo wʼanimuonyam da mu nyinaa.
All the day long my mouth is filled with your praise and your glory.
9 Nto me ntwene ɛberɛ a mabɔ akɔkoraa; mʼahoɔden sa me mu a, nnya me.
Cast me not off in the time of old age; when my strength is spent, forsake me not.
10 Ɛfiri sɛ mʼatamfoɔ kasa tia me wɔn a wɔtwɛn sɛ wɔbɛkum me no bom pam me tiri so.
For my foes whisper against me, they who watch me take counsel together;
11 Wɔka sɛ, “Onyankopɔn agya no mu; momma yɛnti no na yɛnkyere no, na obiara nni hɔ a ɔbɛgye no.”
“God has left him,” they say: “pursue and seize him, for he is helpless.”
12 Ao Onyankopɔn, mfiri me nkyɛn nkɔ akyiri; Ao me Onyankopɔn, yɛ ntɛm bɛboa me.
O God, be not far from me, haste, O my God, to my help.
13 Ma wɔn a wɔbɔ me soboɔ no nsɛe animguaseɛ mu; wɔn a wɔpɛ sɛ wɔpira me no ma ahohora ne animguaseɛ nkata wɔn so.
Put my foes to shame and dishonor, with insult and shame be they covered.
14 Nanso me deɛ, mɛnya anidasoɔ daa; mɛkɔ so makamfo wo.
But I will never stop hoping, and more and yet more will I praise you.
15 Mɛka wo tenenee ho asɛm, ne wo nkwagyeɛ da mu nyinaa, nanso mennim ano.
All the day long shall my mouth tell your faithfulness and your salvation, though I know not how they may be counted.
16 Ao Otumfoɔ Awurade, mɛba abɛpae mu aka wo nnwuma akɛseɛ no; mɛpae mu aka wo nko ara tenenee akyerɛ.
I will tell of the might of the Lord, and your faithfulness praise, you alone.
17 Ao Onyankopɔn, ɛfiri mʼababunu berɛ na wokyerɛkyerɛɛ me, na ɛbɛsi ɛnnɛ yi, meka wʼanwanwadeɛ a woayɛ kyerɛ.
You have taught me, O God, from my youth, and till now have I told of your wonders.
18 Mpo sɛ mebɔ akɔkoraa na mefu dwono a, Ao Onyankopɔn, nnya me, kɔsi sɛ mɛka wo tumi ho asɛm akyerɛ nkyirimma, ne wo kɛseyɛ akyerɛ wɔn a wɔbɛba nyinaa.
Even in old age and grey hair, O God, do not forsake me. Still would I tell of your might unto all generations to come.
19 Ao Onyankopɔn, wo tenenee duru sorosoro, wo a woayɛ nneɛma akɛseɛ. Ao Onyankopɔn, hwan na ɔte sɛ wo?
Your power and your justice, O God, extend as far as the heavens: for great are the things you have done. Who is like you, O God?
20 Mmom woama mahunu ɔhaw bebree a ɛyɛ yea; nanso wobɛma me nkwa bio; na wobɛyi me bio afiri asase ase.
You have caused us to see troubles many, but you will revive us again. From the depths of the earth you will bring me up again.
21 Wobɛhyɛ me animuonyam bebree na woakyekye me werɛ bio.
You will multiply my greatness, and comfort me again.
22 Mede sankuo bɛkamfo wo Ao me Onyankopɔn, wo tenenee enti mɛto wʼayɛyi dwom wɔ sankuten so Ao Israel Kronkronni.
So with harp I will praise you, and your faithfulness, O my God; and make music to you on the lyre, O you Holy One of Israel.
23 Mʼanofafa de anigyeɛ bɛteam ɛberɛ a meto dwom kamfo woɔ, me a woagye me no.
My lips shall ring out their joy, my mouth shall sing praises to you; all of me, which you have redeemed.
24 Me tɛkrɛma bɛka wo tenenee nnwuma da mu nyinaa, ɛfiri sɛ wɔn a wɔpɛ sɛ wɔha me no kɔ animguaseɛ ne basabasayɛ mu.
Yes, all the day long shall my tongue utter your righteousness; for ashamed and confounded are they who were seeking my hurt.
