< Nnwom 64 >

1 Wɔde ma dwomkyerɛfoɔ. Dawid dwom. Ao Onyankopɔn, tie me ɛberɛ a mereka me haw; bɔ me ɔkra ho ban firi ɔtamfoɔ ahunahuna ho.
“To the chief musician, a psalm of David.” Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint: preserve my life from the dread of the enemy.
2 Fa me sie firi amumuyɛfoɔ agyinatuo ho, ne nnebɔneyɛfoɔ dodoɔ no gyegyeegyeyɛ ho.
Hide me from the secret counsel of evil-doers, from the tumultuous assault of the workers of wickedness;
3 Wɔse wɔn tɛkrɛma sɛ akofena na wɔse wɔn ano sɛ mmɛmma kɔdiawuo.
Who whet their tongue like a sword, who aim with their arrow, the bitter word:
4 Wɔfiri atɛeɛ mu, to bɔ onipa a ne ho nni asɛm; wɔto bɔ no mpofirim a wɔnsuro.
To shoot in secret at the innocent; suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
5 Wɔhyehyɛ wɔn ho wɔn ho nkuran wɔ wɔn amumuyɛ nneyɛeɛ ho, wɔka sɛdeɛ wɔbɛsum afidie; wɔka sɛ, “Hwan na ɔbɛhunu yɛn?”
They encourage themselves in an evil plan; they tell secretly of laying snares: they say, Who will see them?
6 Wɔbɔ atɛnkyea ho pɔ na wɔka sɛ, “Yɛayɛ nhyehyɛeɛ a ɛyɛ pɛ!” Ampa ara onipa akoma ne nʼadwene yɛ anifire.
They search out iniquities; “We are ready with the carefully searched out device:” and the inward thought and heart of each is deeply [hidden].
7 Nanso, Onyankopɔn bɛto bɛmma awɔ wɔn; na wɔbɛhwe fam prɛko pɛ.
But God shooteth at them suddenly [his] arrow; —[thence] are come their wounds.
8 Ɔbɛdane wɔn ankasa tɛkrɛma atia wɔn na ɔde wɔn aba ɔsɛeɛ mu; na wɔn a wɔbɛhunu wɔn nyinaa bɛbɔ wɔn tiri nko wɔ animtiabuo so.
And their own tongues will stumble over themselves: all that look on them will shake their head.
9 Adasamma nyinaa bɛsuro; wɔbɛpae mu aka Onyankopɔn nnwuma na wɔasusu deɛ wayɛ ho.
All men shall fear, and shall declare the deeds of God, and understand his works.
10 Ma teneneefoɔ nni ahurisie wɔ Awurade mu na wɔmpɛ hintabea wɔ ne mu; ma wɔn a wɔn akoma mu teɛ nyinaa nyi no ayɛ!
The righteous shall rejoice in the Lord, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glorify themselves.
