1 Wɔde ma dwomkyerɛfoɔ sɛ ɔmfa sankuhoma nto wɔ Seminit ɛnne so. Dawid dwom. Ao, Awurade nka mʼanim wɔ wʼabofuo mu, na ntwe mʼaso nso wɔ wʼabufuhyeɛ mu.
To the Chief Musician, with stringed Instruments upon the eighth. A Melody of David. O Yahweh! do not, in thine anger, correct me, nor, in thy wrath, chastise me.
2 Hu me mmɔbɔ, Awurade, ɛfiri sɛ meyɛ mmrɛ; Ao Awurade sa me yadeɛ na me nnompe wɔ ahoyera mu.
Show me favour, O Yahweh, for languishing am I: Heal me, O Yahweh, —for dismayed are my bones:
3 Me kra wɔ ahohia mu. Ɛnkɔsi da bɛn, Ao Awurade, ɛnkɔsi da bɛn?
Yea, my soul, is dismayed greatly, Thou, then, O Yahweh—how long?
4 Sane bra, Ao Awurade, na bɛgye me nkwa; gye me, wo dɔ a ɛnni hwammɔ no enti.
Return, O Yahweh, deliver my soul, Save me, for the sake of thy lovingkindness;
5 Obi a wawuo no renkae wo da, hwan na ɔfiri damena mu kamfo woɔ? (Sheol h7585)
For, in death, is no remembrance of thee, —In hades, who shall give thanks unto thee? (Sheol h7585)
6 Apinisie ama mayɛ mmerɛ. Anadwo mu nyinaa mede agyaadwotwa fɔ me mpa na me nisuo fɔ me sumiiɛ.
I am weary with my sighing, I flood, through the whole night, my couch, —With my tears, I cause, my bed, to dissolve:
7 Awerɛhoɔ ama mʼani so ayɛ me kusuu. Ɛredum mʼatamfoɔ nyinaa enti.
My face, is all sunken with sorrow, —it hath aged, because of all mine adversaries.
8 Mo nnebɔneyɛfoɔ, montwe mo ho mfiri me ho, ɛfiri sɛ Awurade ate me sufrɛ.
Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity, for Yahweh hath heard the voice of my weeping:
9 Awurade ate me mmɔborɔ su; Awurade tie me sufrɛ.
Yahweh, hath heard my supplication, Yahweh, will receive, my prayer.
10 Mʼatamfoɔ nyinaa anim bɛgu ase na wɔn ho adwiri wɔn; na wɔapatu de fɛreɛ asane wɔn akyi.
Let all my foes, turn pale and be greatly dismayed, Again let them turn pale in a moment.
