< Nnwom 53 >
1 Dawid dwom. Ɔkwasea ka nʼakoma mu sɛ, “Onyankopɔn bi nni hɔ.” Wɔaporɔ, na wɔn akwan yɛ animguaseɛ. Baako koraa nni hɔ a ɔyɛ ade pa.
For the leader. On mahalath. A maskil of David. Fools say in their heart, “There is no God.” Vile, hateful their life is; not one does good.
2 Onyankopɔn firi soro hwɛ adasamma wɔ fam sɛ ɔbɛhunu wɔn mu bi a wɔwɔ nteaseɛ, anaa ebinom a wɔhwehwɛ Onyankopɔn.
From heaven God looks out on humans, to see if any are wise, and care for God.
3 Obiara amane; wɔn nyinaa ayɛ bɔne; wɔn mu bi nni hɔ a ɔyɛ papa; ɔbaako mpo nni hɔ.
But all have turned bad, the taint is on all; not one does good, no, not one.
4 Enti abɔnefoɔ rensua nyansa anaa? Wɔwe me nkurɔfoɔ sɛdeɛ nnipa di aduane. Wɔnnsu mfrɛ Onyankopɔn.
Have they learned their lesson, those workers of evil? Who ate up my people, eating, devouring, never calling to the Lord.
5 Wɔn na wɔwɔ hɔ a wɔabɔ huboa! Wɔn ho popo wɔ beaeɛ a ehu nni hɔ. Onyankopɔn bɛhwete wʼatamfoɔ no nnompe agu; wobɛgu wɔn anim ase, ɛfiri sɛ Onyankopɔn abu wɔn animtiaa.
Sore afraid will they be, where no fear was; when God scatters the bones of the godless people. They will be put to shame, when God rejects them.
6 Ao, ma Israel nkwagyeɛ mfiri Sion mmra! Onyankopɔn bɛsane de ne nkurɔfoɔ agyapadeɛ ama wɔn. Na Yakob adi ahurisie, na Israel ani agye! Wɔde ma dwomkyerɛfoɔ. Wɔbɔ no sankuo so.
If only help from Zion would come for Israel! When God brings his people a change of fortune, how glad will be Jacob, and Israel how joyful!
