< Nnwom 52 >
1 Dawid “maskil” dwom. Ɔtoeɛ ɛberɛ a Edomni Doeg bɛka kyerɛɛ Saulo sɛ, “Dawid akɔ Ahimelek fie” no. Ɔkɛseɛ, adɛn enti na wohoahoa wo ho wɔ wo bɔne ho? Adɛn enti na wohoahoa wo ho da mu nyinaa, wo a woyɛ animguasedeɛ wɔ Onyankopɔn ani so?
“To the chief musician, a Maskil of David, When Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David is come to the house of Achimelech.” What vauntest thou thyself of wickedness, O mighty man? the kindness of God endureth all the time.
2 Wo tɛkrɛma bɔ ɔsɛeɛ ho pɔ; ɛte sɛ yiwan a ano yɛ tahwetahwe. Wo a wotwa nkontompo nko ara.
Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs, like a sharpened razor, thou worker of deceit.
3 Wʼani gye bɔne ho sene papa, wopɛ atorɔ sene sɛ wobɛka nokorɛ.
Thou lovest evil more than good; falsehood more than speaking righteousness. (Selah)
4 Wodɔ asɛm biara a ɛde ɔhaw ba, Ao wo tɛkrɛma daadaafoɔ!
Thou lovest all words of destruction, the tongue of deceit.
5 Ampa ara, Onyankopɔn de ɔsɛeɛ a ɛnni awieeɛ bɛbrɛ wo; ɔbɛtwe wo afiri wo ntomadan mu na watete wo mu; Ɔbɛtɔre wʼase wɔ ateasefoɔ asase so.
[Therefore] God will also destroy thee for ever: he will take thee away, and pluck thee out of his tent, and root thee out of the land of life. (Selah)
6 Ateneneefoɔ bɛhunu yei na wɔasuro; wɔbɛsere no na wɔaka sɛ,
And the righteous shall see it, and they will be afraid, and laugh concerning him:
7 “Hwɛ, onipa no nie deɛ wamfa Onyankopɔn anyɛ nʼabandenden na mmom ɔde ne ho too nʼahonya dodoɔ so na ɔnyaa ahoɔden de sɛee afoforɔ no!”
“Lo, this is the man that made not God his fortress; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, relied proudly on his mischievous wickedness.”
8 Nanso, mete sɛ ngo dua a ɛrenyini wɔ Onyankopɔn fie: mede me ho to Onyankopɔn dɔ a ɛnsa da no so daa nyinaa.
But I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God: I trust in the kindness of God for ever and ever.
9 Mɛyi wo ayɛ daa wɔ deɛ woayɛ nti; wo din so na mʼani bɛda, ɛfiri sɛ ɛyɛ. Mɛyi wo ayɛ wɔ wʼahotefoɔ anim. Wɔde ma dwomkyerɛfoɔ. Wɔde “mahalat” sankuo nne na ɛto.
I will thank thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name, for [it is] good, before thy pious ones.
