1 Wɔde ma dwomkyerɛfoɔ sɛ wɔmfa atɛntɛbɛn nto. Dawid dwom. Ao Awurade, yɛ aso ma me nsɛm na dwene mʼapinisie ho.
To the Chief Musician. For the Flutes. A Melody of David. To my words, give ear, O Yahweh, Understand thou my softly murmured prayer:
2 Tie me mmoa ho sufrɛ, me Ɔhene ne me Onyankopɔn, ɛfiri sɛ wo na mebɔ wo mpaeɛ.
Attend to the voice of my cry, my King and my God, for, unto thee, do I pray.
3 Ao, Awurade, wote me nne anɔpa; anɔpa, mede mʼadesrɛ ba wʼanim na mede anidasoɔ twɛn.
O Yahweh! in the morning, shalt thou hear my voice, In the morning, will I set in order unto thee, and keep watch;
4 Wonyɛ Onyankopɔn a wʼani gye bɔne ho; na amumuyɛfoɔ rentumi ne wo ntena.
For, not a GOD finding pleasure in lawlessness, art thou, and wrong can be no guest of thine:
5 Ahantanfoɔ rentumi nnyina wʼanim; wokyiri wɔn a wɔyɛ bɔne nyinaa.
Boasters, shall not station themselves, before thine eyes, —Thou hatest all workers of iniquity:
6 Wosɛe wɔn a wɔka atorɔsɛm; Awurade kyiri mogyapɛfoɔ ne asisifoɔ.
Thou wilt destroy them who speak falsehood, —The man of bloodshed and of deceit, Yahweh abhorreth.
7 Nanso me, wo mmɔborɔhunu bebrebe enti, mɛba wo fie; na anidie mu na mɛkoto akyerɛ wʼasɔredan kronkron no.
But, I, in the abounding of thy lovingkindness, will enter thy house, I will bow down towards thy holy temple, in reverence of thee:
8 Ao Awurade kyerɛ me ɛkwan wɔ wo tenenee mu mʼatamfoɔ enti, bɔ wo kwan tee wɔ mʼanim.
O Yahweh! lead me in thy righteousness, because of mine adversaries, Make even, before me, thy way:
9 Wɔn anom asɛm baako mpo nyɛ nokorɛ; ɔsɛeɛ ahyɛ wɔn akoma ma. Wɔn menewa yɛ damena a ɛso abue wɔde wɔn tɛkrɛma ka nnaadaasɛm.
For in his mouth is nothing worthy of trust, Their inward purpose, is engulphing ruin, —An opened sepulchre, is their throat, With their tongue, speak they smooth things.
10 Ao, Onyankopɔn, bu wɔn fɔ! Ma wɔn pɔ bɔne nyɛ wɔn ahweaseɛ. Pam wɔn ɛsiane wɔn bɔne dodoɔ no enti, ɛfiri sɛ wɔasɔre atia wo.
Declare them guilty, O God, Let them fall by their own counsels, —Into the throng of their own transgressions, thrust them down, For they have rebelled against thee: —
11 Nanso, ma wɔn a wɔdwane ba wo nkyɛn no ani nnye; ma wɔmfa anigyeɛ nto dwom daa. Trɛ wo banbɔ mu wɔ wɔn so, na wɔn a wɔdɔ wo din no ma wɔn ani nnye wɔ wo mu.
That all may rejoice who seek refuge in thee, to times age-abiding, may shout in triumph, that thou wilt protect them, and they may leap for joy in thee who are lovers of thy Name.
12 Ao Awurade, ampa ara, wohyira teneneefoɔ; na wode wʼayamyɛ twa wɔn ho hyia te sɛ akokyɛm.
For, thou, wilt bless the righteous man, O Yahweh, As with an all-covering shield—with good pleasure, wilt thou encompass him.
