1 Wɔde ma dwomkyerɛfoɔ. Kora mma dwom. Amanaman nyinaa, mommɔ mo nsam; momfa anigyeɛ nteam mfrɛ Onyankopɔn.
You people all [over the world], clap your hands for joy! Shout joyfully to [praise] God!
2 Awurade Ɔsorosoroni no ho yɛ nwanwa, Ɔyɛ Ɔhene kɛseɛ wɔ asase nyinaa so!
Yahweh, who is much greater than any other god, is awesome; he is the king who rules over all the world!
3 Ɔde amanaman hyɛɛ yɛn ase, na ɔde nnipa hyɛɛ yɛn nan ase.
He enabled us to defeat [the armies of] the people-groups [that lived in Canaan].
4 Ɔyii yɛn agyapadeɛ maa yɛn, deɛ ɛyɛ Yakob a ɔdɔ noɔ no ahohoahoadeɛ.
He chose for us this land where we now live; we Israeli people [MTY], whom he loves, are proud that we own this land.
5 Onyankopɔn aforo kɔ soro wɔ anigyeɛ nteateam mu. Awurade wɔ totorobɛnto nnyegyeeɛ mu.
God has gone up [into his temple]. The people shouted joyfully and blew trumpets as Yahweh went up.
6 To ayɛyie nnwom ma Onyankopɔn, to ayɛyie nnwom; to ayɛyie nnwom ma yɛn Ɔhene, to ayɛyie nnwom.
Sing songs to praise our God! Sing to praise him [DOU]! Sing to God, our king!
7 Ɛfiri sɛ Onyankopɔn yɛ asase nyinaa so Ɔhene. Monto ahurisie nnwom mma no.
God is the one who rules over everything in the world; sing a psalm to him!
8 Onyankopɔn di ɔhene wɔ amanaman no so Onyankopɔn te nʼahennwa kronkron so.
God sits on his sacred throne as he rules over the people of [all] ethnic groups.
9 Amanaman no mu akunini boaboa wɔn ho ano sɛ Abraham Onyankopɔn nkurɔfoɔ, ɛfiri sɛ asase so ahemfo yɛ Onyankopɔn dea; na wɔma no so yɛ no kɛseɛ.
The rulers of those people-groups gather as God’s people, the people [descended] from Abraham, [do]. But God has more power than the weapons/shields [of all the kings] on the earth; (he is greatly honored/people honor him) everywhere.
