1 Wɔde ma dwomkyerɛfoɔ. Dawid dwom. Nhyira ne onipa a mmɔborɔni asɛm ho hia no. Awurade gye no wɔ amanehunu berɛ mu.
For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David. Blessed is he who considers the poor. The LORD will deliver him in the day of evil.
2 Awurade bɛbɔ ne ho ban na wakora ne kra. Ɔbɛhyira no wɔ asase no so; ɔrennyaa no mma nʼatamfoɔ apɛdeɛ.
The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive. He shall be blessed on the earth, and he will not surrender him to the will of his enemies.
3 Awurade bɛhwɛ no wɔ ne yadeɛ mpa so na wagye no asi hɔ.
The LORD will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness.
4 Mekaa sɛ, “Ao Awurade hunu me mmɔbɔ; sa me yadeɛ, ɛfiri sɛ mayɛ bɔne atia wo.”
I said, “LORD, have mercy on me! Heal me, for I have sinned against you.”
5 Mʼatamfoɔ de adwene bɔne ka wɔ me ho sɛ: “Da bɛn na ɔbɛwu ama ne din ayera?”
My enemies speak evil against me: “When will he die, and his name perish?”
6 Ɛberɛ biara a obi ba me nkyɛn no, ɔka atorɔsɛm, na nʼakoma hɔre dinsɛeɛ; ɔfiri adi kɔ a, ɔde kɔdi nsekuro.
If he comes to see me, he speaks falsehood. His heart gathers iniquity to itself. When he goes abroad, he tells it.
7 Mʼatamfoɔ nyinaa keka asomusɛm fa me ho; wɔsusu bɔne ma me na wɔka sɛ:
All who hate me whisper together against me. They imagine the worst for me.
8 “Yare bɔne bi abɔ no; ɔrensɔre mfiri deɛ ɔda hɔ bio.”
“An evil disease”, they say, “has afflicted him. Now that he lies he shall rise up no more.”
9 Mpo me yɔnko pa ara a mede me ho too ne soɔ, deɛ me ne no too nsa didiiɛ no, asɔre atia me.
Yes, my own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, who ate bread with me, has lifted up his heel against me.
10 Nanso wo, Awurade, hunu me mmɔbɔ; pagya me, na mentua wɔn so ka.
But you, LORD, have mercy on me, and raise me up, that I may repay them.
11 Menim sɛ wʼani sɔ me, na me ɔtamfoɔ renni me so nkonim.
By this I know that you delight in me, because my enemy does not triumph over me.
12 Me nokorɛdie mu, wokura me mu na wode me gyina wʼanim afebɔɔ.
As for me, you uphold me in my integrity, and set me in your presence forever.
13 Nhyira nka Awurade, Israel Onyankopɔn, ɛnnɛ ne daa nyinaa.
Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting and to everlasting! Amen and amen.
