1 Wɔde ma dwomkyerɛfoɔ. Wɔto wɔ sankuhoma so. Dawid dwom. Sɛ mesu frɛ wo a, gye me so, Ao, me tenenee Onyankopɔn. Ma me ahomegyeɛ wɔ mʼahohia mu; hunu me mmɔbɔ na tie me mpaeɛbɔ.
Answer me when I call, God of my righteousness. Give me relief from my distress. Have mercy on me, and sh'ma ·hear obey· my prayer.
2 Ao mmarima, ɛnkɔsi da bɛn na mo bɛdane mʼanimuonyam ahohora? Ɛnkɔsi da bɛn na mobɛdɔ nneɛma hunu na moadi ahoni huhuo akyi?
You sons of men, how long shall my kavod ·weighty glory· be turned into dishonor? Will you 'ahav ·affectionately love· vanity, and seek after falsehood? (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·
3 Hunu sɛ Awurade ayi deɛ ɔwɔ nyamesu ama ne ho; Awurade bɛtie, sɛ mesu mefrɛ no a.
But know that Adonai has set apart for himself him who is godly: Adonai will sh'ma ·hear obey· when I call to him.
4 Mo bo fu a, monnyɛ bɔne; sɛ modeda mo mpa so a, monyɛ komm na monhwehwɛ mo akoma mu.
You can be angry, but don’t sin. Search your own heart on your bed, and be still. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·
5 Mommɔ afɔdeɛ a ɛfata na momfa mo werɛ nhyɛ Awurade mu.
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness. Put your trust in Adonai.
6 Nnipa bebree bisa sɛ: “Hwan na ɔbɛtumi ayɛ yɛn adɔeɛ?” Ao Awurade, ma wʼanim hann no nhyerɛn yɛn so.
Many say, “Who will show us any good?” Adonai, let the light of your face shine on us.
7 Wode anigyeɛ mmorosoɔ ahyɛ mʼakoma ma asene ɛberɛ a wɔn aburoo ne nsã foforɔ abu so no.
You have put gladness in my heart, more than when their grain and their new wine are increased.
8 Mɛtɔ hɔ, na mada asomdwoeɛ mu, ɛfiri sɛ, wo nko ara, Ao Awurade, na woma metena asomdwoeɛ mu.
In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Adonai alone, make me live in safety.
