I will bless Jehovah at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 Me kra bɛhoahoa ne ho wɔ Awurade mu; ma amanehunufoɔ nte na wɔn nni ahurisie.
My soul shall make its boast in Jehovah. The humble shall hear of it, and be glad.
3 Mo ne me nkamfo Awurade; momma yɛmmɔ mu nkamfo ne din!
O magnify Jehovah with me, and let us exalt his name together.
4 Mefrɛɛ Awurade na ɔgyee me so; na ɔyii me firii mʼakomatuo nyinaa mu.
I sought Jehovah, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5 Wɔn a wɔhwɛ nʼanim no hyerɛn na wɔn anim rengu ase da.
They looked to him, and were radiant, and their faces shall never be confounded.
6 Ohiani yi frɛeɛ, na Awurade tiee no; na ɔgyee no firii nʼahohia nyinaa mu.
This poor man cried, and Jehovah heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

The agent of Jehovah encamps round about those who fear him, and delivers them.
8 Monka nhwɛ na monhunu sɛ Awurade yɛ. Nhyira ne onipa a ɔhinta wɔ ne mu.
O taste and see that Jehovah is good. Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
9 Monsuro Awurade, mo a moyɛ nʼahotefoɔ, na wɔn a wɔsuro noɔ no nhia hwee.
O fear Jehovah, ye his sanctified, for there is no want to those who fear him.

The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, but those who seek Jehovah shall not want any good thing.
11 Mommra, me mma, monyɛ aso mma me; mɛkyerɛkyerɛ mo Awurade ho suro.
Come, ye children, hearken to me. I will teach you the fear of Jehovah.
12 Mo mu hwan na ɔpɛ nkwa na ɔpɛ sɛ ɔhunu nna papa bebree?
What man is he who desires life, and loves many days, that he may see good?
13 Ɛnneɛ ɛnsɛ sɛ ɔka kasa bɔne, na ɛsɛ sɛ ɔgyae atorɔtwa.
Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking deceit.
14 Twe wo ho firi bɔne ho, na yɛ papa; hwehwɛ asomdwoeɛ na ti no.
Depart from evil, and do good. Seek peace, and pursue it.
15 Awurade ani wɔ ateneneefoɔ so na ɔtie wɔn mpaeɛbɔ;
The eyes of Jehovah are toward the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer.
16 Awurade ani sa wɔn a wɔyɛ bɔne, sɛ ɔbɛyi wɔn nkaeɛ afiri asase yi so.
(The face of Jehovah is against those who do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.)
17 Ateneneefoɔ team su, na Awurade tie wɔn; ɔyi wɔn firi wɔn haw nyinaa mu.
They cried, and Jehovah heard, and delivered them out of all their troubles.
18 Awurade bɛn wɔn a wɔapa aba na ɔgye wɔn a wɔadwerɛ wɔn wɔ honhom mu no nkwa.
Jehovah is near to those who are of a broken heart, and saves such as are of a contrite spirit.
19 Onipa tenenee bɛhunu amaneɛ bebree nanso Awurade gye no firi ne nyinaa mu;
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Jehovah delivers him out of them all.
20 ɔbɔ ne nnompe nyinaa ho ban, sɛdeɛ emu baako mpo mmu.
He keeps all his bones. Not one of them is broken.
21 Bɔne bɛkum ɔdebɔneyɛfoɔ; ɔteneneeni atamfoɔ bɛnya afɔbuo.
Evil shall kill the wicked, and those who hate the righteous shall be condemned.
22 Awurade gye nʼasomfoɔ nkwa; wɔn a wɔdwane toa noɔ no mu biara renkɔ afɔbuo mu.
Jehovah redeems the soul of his servants, and none of those who take refuge in him shall be condemned.
