< Nnwom 32 >

1 Dawid dwom. Nhyira ne wɔn a wɔde wɔn amumuyɛ akyɛ wɔn, na wɔakata wɔn bɔne so.
“Of David: a Maskil.” Happy is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
2 Nhyira nka onipa a Awurade mmu ne bɔne ngu ne so, na nnaadaa nni ne honhom mu.
Happy is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
3 Ɛberɛ a meyɛɛ komm no, me nnompe yɛɛ mmrɛ apinie a mesii no da mu nyinaa enti.
When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my crying all the day.
4 Awia ne anadwo wo nsa yɛɛ den wɔ me so; mʼahoɔden saeɛ sɛdeɛ awiaberɛ mu hyeɛ ma biribi yɛ mmerɛ.
For by day and night lay thy hand heavily upon me: my [life's] moisture hath been changed through the droughts of summer. (Selah)
5 Afei, megyee me bɔne too mu. Mankata mʼamumuyɛ so. Mekaa sɛ, “Mɛka me bɔne akyerɛ Awurade,” na wode me bɔne ho afɔdie kyɛɛ me.
My sin do I ever acknowledge unto thee, and my iniquity have I not covered up. I said, I will make confession because of my transgressions unto the Lord: and thou truly forgavest the iniquity of my sin. (Selah)
6 Enti, ma obiara a ɔwɔ nyamesu mmɔ wo mpaeɛ ɛberɛ a wɔhunu woɔ; ampa ara sɛ nsuo akɛseɛ yiri a, ɛrenka no.
For this shall every pious one pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely [then] when great waters overflow, they shall never reach unto him.
7 Wone me hintabea; wobɛbɔ me ho ban wɔ amanehunu mu na wode nkwagyeɛ nnwom atwa me ho ahyia.
Thou art my hiding-place; from distress wilt thou preserve me; with songs of deliverance wilt thou encompass me. (Selah)
8 Mɛkyerɛkyerɛ wo ɛkwan a wobɛfa soɔ mɛtu wo fo na mahwɛ wo so.
I will instruct thee and I will teach thee concerning the way which thou oughtest to go: I will counsel thee with my eye.
9 Nyɛ sɛ ɔpɔnkɔ anaa afunumpɔnkɔ a ɔnni nteaseɛ enti wɔde nnareka ne ahoma na ɛdanedane no sɛ ɛbɛyɛ a wɔbɛba wo nkyɛn.
Be ye not like the horse, or like the mule, who hath no understanding; who must be held in with bit and bridle, his ornament, lest he come near unto thee.
10 Ɔmumuyɛfoɔ amanehunu dɔɔso, nanso Awurade adɔeɛ a ɛnsa da no, ɛtwa onipa a ɔde ne ho to no so no ho hyia.
Many are the pains of the wicked; but him that trusteth in the Lord will he encompass with kindness.
11 Monni ahurisie na mo ani nnye wɔ Awurade mu, mo teneneefoɔ; monto dwom, mo a mo akoma mu teɛ.
Rejoice in the Lord, and be glad, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
