1 Dawid dwom. Ao Awurade, mema me kra so kyerɛ wo;
א To you, Adonai, do I lift up my soul.
2 wo so, Ao me Onyankopɔn, na mede me ho to. Mma mʼanim ngu ase na mma mʼatamfoɔ nso nni me so nkonim.
בּ My God, I have trusted in you. Don’t let me be shamed. Don’t let my enemies triumph over me.
3 Wɔn a wɔde wɔn ho to wo so no mu biara ani renwu da, mmom, wɔn a wɔyɛ kɔntɔnkye no anim bɛgu ase.
גּ Yes, no one who waits for you shall be shamed. They shall be shamed who deal treacherously without cause.
4 Kyerɛ me wʼakwan, Ao Awurade, na me nhunu wʼatempɔn.
דּ Show me your ways, Adonai. Teach me your paths.
5 Fa wo nokorɛ no so kyerɛkyerɛ me, ɛfiri sɛ woyɛ Onyankopɔn, me Gyefoɔ, na mʼani da wo so daa nyinaa.
ה Guide me in your truth, and teach me, For you are the God of my yesha' ·salvation·, I wait for you all day long.
6 Kae, Ao Awurade, wo mmɔborɔhunu ne wo dɔ kɛseɛ a ɛwɔ hɔ firi tete no.
ז Adonai, remember your tender rachamim ·merciful loves· and your chesed ·loving-kindness·, for they are from old times.
7 Nkae me mmabunu berɛ mu bɔne ne mʼatuateɛ akwan; kae me sɛdeɛ wʼadɔeɛ teɛ, Ao Awurade, ɛfiri sɛ wo yɛ.
ח Don’t remember the habitual sins ·missing the marks· of my youth, nor my rebellious breaches of relationships. Remember me according to your chesed ·loving-kindness·, for your goodness’ sake, Adonai.
8 Awurade yɛ, na ɔtene; enti ɔkyerɛkyerɛ nnebɔneyɛfoɔ nʼakwan.
ט Good and upright is Adonai, therefore he will instruct people who sin ·intentionally miss the mark goal· in the way.
9 Ɔde ahobrɛasefoɔ fa ɛkwan pa so na ɔkyerɛ wɔn nʼapɛdeɛ.
י He will guide the humble in mishpat ·justice·. He will teach the humble his way.
10 Awurade akwan nyinaa yɛ ɔdɔ ne nokorɛdie ma wɔn a wɔdi nʼapam mu ahyɛdeɛ soɔ.
כּ All the paths of Adonai are chesed ·loving-kindness· and truth to such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
11 Ao Awurade, me bɔne so deɛ, nanso wo din enti, fa kyɛ me.
ל For your name’s sake, Adonai, pardon my depravity (moral evil), for it is great.
12 Enti hwan ne onipa a ɔsuro Awurade? Ɔbɛkyerɛ no kwan a wabɔ ama no.
מ What man is he who fears Adonai? He shall instruct him in the way that he shall choose.
13 Ɔbɛdi yie wɔ ne nkwa nna mu, na nʼasefoɔ afa asase no sɛ wɔn agyapadeɛ.
נ His soul shall dwell at ease. His offspring shall inherit the land.
14 Awurade da nʼatirimsɛm adi kyerɛ wɔn a wɔsuro no; na ɔma wɔhunu nʼapam.
ס The friendship of Adonai is with those who fear him. He will show them his covenant.
15 Mʼani da Awurade so daa, ɛfiri sɛ ɔno nko ara na ɔbɛyi me nan afiri afidie mu.
ע My eyes are ever on Adonai, for he will pluck my feet out of the net.
16 Dane wʼani hwɛ me, na dom me, ɛfiri sɛ meyɛ ankonam na meyɛ mmɔbɔ.
פ Turn to me, and have mercy on me, for I am desolate and afflicted.
17 Mʼakoma mu dadwene adɔɔso; yi me dadwene firi me so.
צ The troubles of my heart are enlarged. Oh bring me out of my distresses.
18 Hwɛ me haw ne mʼahohiahia na yi me bɔne nyinaa firi me so.
ר Consider my affliction and my travail. Forgive all my habitual sins ·missing the marks·.
19 Hwɛ sɛdeɛ mʼatamfoɔ adɔɔso ne ɔtan kɛseɛ a wɔde tan me!
ר Consider my enemies, for they are many. They hate me with cruel hatred.
20 Bɔ me nkwa ho ban na gye me. Mma mʼanim ngu ase, ɛfiri sɛ me dwanekɔbea ne wo.
שׁ Oh keep my soul, and deliver me. Let me not be disappointed, for I take refuge in you.
21 Ma tenenee ne nokorɛ mmɔ me ho ban, ɛfiri sɛ mʼani da wo so.
תּ Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for you.
22 Gye Israel, Ao Onyankopɔn, firi wɔn haw nyinaa mu.
Redeem Israel [God prevails], God, out all of his troubles.
