1 Dawid dwom. Asase ne deɛ ɛwɔ mu nyinaa yɛ Awurade dea; ewiase ne wɔn a wɔte soɔ nyinaa wɔ no;
The earth is Adonai’s, with its fullness; the world, and those who dwell therein.
2 ɛfiri sɛ ɔno na ɔtoo ne fapem wɔ ɛpo so na ɔde sii nsuo ani.
For he has founded it on the seas, and established it on the floods.
3 Hwan na ɔbɛtumi aforo Awurade bepɔ no? Hwan na ɔbɛtumi agyina ne tenabea kronkron hɔ?
Who may ascend to Adonai’s hill? Who may stand in his holy place?
4 Deɛ ɔyɛ ade tenenee na nʼakoma mu teɛ, deɛ ne kra nni ahoni akyi na ɔnnka ntanhunu.
He who has clean hands and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood, and has not sworn deceitfully.
5 Ɔbɛnya Awurade nsam nhyira ne bembuo a ɛfiri ne Nkwagyeɛ Onyankopɔn.
He shall receive a blessing from Adonai, righteousness from the God of his yesha' ·salvation·.
6 Saa na awoɔ ntoatoasoɔ a wɔhwehwɛ Awurade no teɛ, wɔn a wɔhwehwɛ wʼanim no, Ao Yakob Onyankopɔn.
This is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek your face— even Jacob [Supplanter]. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.
7 Mo apono, mommuebue mommuebue, mo tete apono, na Animuonyam Ɔhene nhyɛne mu.
Lift up your heads, you gates! Be lifted up, you everlasting doors, and the Melek haKavod [King of Weighty glory] will come in.
8 Hwan ne saa Animuonyam Ɔhene yi? Ɔno ne Awurade ɔhoɔdenfoɔ ne otumfoɔ no; Awurade a ɔyɛ ɔko mu nkonimdifoɔ.
Who is the Melek haKavod [King of Weighty glory]? Adonai strong and mighty, Adonai mighty in battle.
9 Mommuebue, Ao mo apono mommuebue, mo tete apono, na animuonyam Ɔhene no nkɔ mu.
Lift up your heads, you gates; yes, lift them up, you everlasting doors, and the Melek haKavod [King of Weighty glory] will come in.
10 Hwan ne saa animuonyam Ɔhene yi? Asafo Awurade no, ɔno ne animuonyam Ɔhene no.
Who is this Melek haKavod [King of Glory]? Adonai Tzva'ot [Yahweh Commander of heaven’s armies] is the Melek haKavod [King of Glory]! (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.
