< Nnwom 21 >
1 Dawid dwom. Ao Awurade, ɔhene no anigye wɔ wʼahoɔden mu. Nʼani gye mmorosoɔ wɔ nkonimdie a wo ma no nti!
Unto the end. A Psalm of David. In your virtue, Lord, the king will rejoice, and over your salvation, he will exult exceedingly.
2 Woama no deɛ nʼakoma pɛ; woamfa nʼabisadeɛ ankame no.
You have granted him the desire of his heart, and you have not cheated him of the wish of his lips.
3 Wode nhyira a ɛdi mu hyiaa no na wode sikakɔkɔɔ amapa ahenkyɛ hyɛɛ no.
For you have gone ahead of him with blessings of sweetness. You have placed a crown of precious stones on his head.
4 Ɔbisaa wo hɔ nkwa, na wode maa no, nna tentene a ɛnni awieeɛ.
He petitioned you for life, and you have granted him length of days, in the present time, and forever and ever.
5 Nkonimdie a woma no enti, nʼanimuonyam so; wode kɛseyɛ ne anidie adom no.
Great is his glory in your salvation. Glory and great adornment, you will lay upon him.
6 Ampa ara, woama no nhyira a ɛnsa da na wo nsrahwɛ ama me ho ahosɛpɛ me.
For you will give him as a blessing forever and ever. You will make him rejoice with gladness in your presence.
7 Ɔhene no de ne ho to Awurade so; Ɔsorosoroni no nokorɛ dɔ no enti, Ɔhene renhinhim.
Because the king hopes in the Lord, and in the mercy of the Most High, he will not be disturbed.
8 Wo nsa bɛka wʼatamfoɔ nyinaa; wo nsa nifa bɛsɔ wɔn a wɔkyiri woɔ mu.
May your hand be found by all your enemies. May your right hand discover all those who hate you.
9 Ɛberɛ a wobɛyi wo ho adi no wobɛyɛ wɔn sɛ fononoo a emu adɔ. Awurade firi nʼabufuhyeɛ mu bɛmene wɔn, na ne ogya no ahye wɔn.
You will make them like an oven of fire, in the time of your presence. The Lord will stir them up with his wrath, and fire will devour them.
10 Wobɛtɔre wɔn ase wɔ asase so, na wɔn asefoɔ afiri adasamma mu.
You will destroy their fruit from the earth and their offspring from the sons of men.
11 Ɛwom sɛ wɔbɔ pɔ tia wo na wɔyɛ nhyehyɛeɛ bɔne, nanso wɔrenni nkonim;
For they have turned evils upon you; they have devised plans, which they have not been able to accomplish.
12 ɛfiri sɛ wobɛma wɔasane wɔn akyi ɛberɛ a woatwe bɛmma akyerɛ wɔn so.
For you will make them turn their back; with your remnants, you will prepare their countenance.
13 Yɛma wo so, Ao Awurade, wɔ wʼahoɔden mu; yɛbɛto nnwom na yɛakamfo wo kɛseyɛ. Wɔde ma dwomkyerɛfoɔ. Wɔto no sɛdeɛ wɔto “Adekyeeɛ foroteɛ” dwom.
Be exalted, Lord, by your own power. We will play music and sing psalms to your virtues.
