1 Dawid dwom. Ɔsoro ka Onyankopɔn animuonyam ho asɛm! Ewiem pae mu ka ne nsa ano adwuma,
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth the work of his hands.
2 Ɛda biara, wɔkasa; anadwo biara, wɔkyerɛ nimdeɛ.
Day to day uttereth speech, and night to night showeth knowledge.
3 Ɔkasa anaa nsɛm nnim na wɔnnte wɔn nne.
[There is] no speech nor language, [where] their voice is not heard.
4 Nanso wɔn asɛm akɔduru asase so mmaa nyinaa, wɔn nsɛm nso akɔduru asase ano. Wɔ ɔsoro hɔ, wasi ntomadan ama owia,
Their line hath gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
5 a ɔte sɛ ayeforɔkunu a ɔfiri ne pia mu, te sɛ ɔbrane a ne ho pere no sɛ ɔbɛtu ne mmirika.
Which [is] as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, [and] rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
6 Ɛpue wɔ ɔsoro fa baabi na atwa ne ho akɔsi ano; biribiara nhinta ne hyeɛ.
His going forth [is] from the end of the heaven, and his circuit to the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from his heat.
7 Awurade mmara yɛ pɛ, ɛkanyane ɔkra no. Ahotosoɔ wɔ Awurade nhyehyɛeɛ mu, ɛma deɛ ɔnnim nyansa hunu nyansa.
The law of the LORD [is] perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD [is] sure, making wise the simple.
8 Awurade ahyɛdeɛ tene; ɛma akoma mu anigyeɛ. Awurade ɔhyɛ nsɛm mu da hɔ; na ɛbue ani.
The statutes of the LORD [are] right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD [is] pure, enlightening the eyes.
9 Awurade suro yɛ kronn, ɛte hɔ daa. Awurade mmaransɛm yɛ nokorɛ na ne nyinaa tene.
The fear of the LORD [is] clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD [are] true [and] righteous altogether.
10 Ɛsom bo sene sikakɔkɔɔ sene sikakɔkɔɔ amapa mpo; ɛyɛ dɛ sene ɛwoɔ, sene ɛwoɔ a ɛfiri ɛwokyɛm mu.
More to be desired [are they] than gold, yes, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honey-comb.
11 Wɔnam so bɔ wo ɔsomfoɔ kɔkɔ sɛ, ɛsodie so akatua yɛ bebree.
Moreover, by them is thy servant warned: [and] in keeping of them [there is] great reward.
12 Hwan na ɔhunu nʼankasa mfomsoɔ? Fa me mfomsoɔ a ahinta kyɛ me.
Who can understand [his] errors? cleanse thou me from secret [faults].
13 Bɔ wʼakoa ho ban firi ɔboayɛ bɔne ho, na anhyɛ me so. Ɛno na ɛbɛma madi bem, a merenni fɔ wɔ bɔne akɛseɛ ho.
Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous [sins]; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
14 Ma mʼanom nsɛm ne mʼakoma mu mpaeɛbɔ nyɛ deɛ ɛsɔ wʼani, Ao Awurade me Botan ne me Gyefoɔ. Wɔde ma dwomkyerɛfoɔ.
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
