1 Monkamfo Awurade. Ɛyɛ sɛ wɔto ayɛyie dwom ma yɛn Onyankopɔn, ɛyɛ fɛ na ɛfata sɛ wɔkamfo no!
Praise ye Jehovah, for it is good to sing praises to our God. For it is pleasant, and praise is comely.
2 Awurade kyekyere Yerusalem; Ɔboaboa Israel nnommumfoɔ ano.
Jehovah builds up Jerusalem. He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.
3 Ɔsa wɔn a wɔn akoma abotoɔ yadeɛ na ɔkyekyere wɔn akuro.
He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
4 Ɔnim nsoromma no dodoɔ na ɔde obiara din frɛ no.
He counts the number of the stars. He calls them all by names.
5 Yɛn Awurade so, na ne tumi yɛ kɛseɛ; yɛrente nʼase nwie.
Great is our Lord, and mighty in power. His understanding is infinite.
6 Awurade wowa ahobrɛasefoɔ na ɔtoto amumuyɛfoɔ hwe fam.
Jehovah upholds the meek. He brings the wicked down to the ground.
7 Monto aseda nnwom mma Awurade. Momfa sankuo nto dwom mma yɛn Onyankopɔn.
Sing to Jehovah with thanksgiving. Sing praises upon the harp to our God,
8 Ɔde omununkum kata ɔsoro ani; ɔde osutɔ ma asase ma ɛserɛ nyini wɔ nkokoɔ so.
who covers the heavens with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow upon the mountains.
9 Ɔma anantwie aduane na sɛ anene mma su a, ɔma wɔn aduane.
He gives to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.
10 Ɛnyɛ ɔpɔnkɔ ahoɔden na nʼani sɔ na ɛnyɛ onipa ahoɔden nso.
He does not delight in the strength of the horse. He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.
11 Na mmom, Awurade ani sɔ nnipa a wɔsuro no, wɔn a wɔde wɔn ho to nʼadɔeɛ a ɛnsa da no so no.
Jehovah takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his loving kindness.
12 Momma Awurade so, Ao Yerusalem; kamfo wo Onyankopɔn, Ao Sion,
Praise Jehovah, O Jerusalem. Praise thy God, O Zion.
13 ɔma wʼapono akyi adaban yɛ den na ɔhyira wo nkurɔfoɔ a wɔte wo mu.
For he has strengthened the bars of thy gates. He has blessed thy sons within thee.
14 Ɔma wʼahyeɛ so dwo na ɔde ayuo amapa ma wo.
He makes peace in thy borders. He fills thee with the finest of the wheat.
15 Ɔsoma nʼahyɛdeɛ kɔ asase so; nʼasɛm tu mmirika ntɛm so.
He sends out his commandment upon earth. His word runs very swiftly.
16 Ɔtrɛ sukyerɛmma mu sɛ odwan ho nwi, na ɔpete obosuo nsukyeneeɛ sɛ nsõ.
He gives snow like wool. He scatters the hoar-frost like ashes.
17 Ɔtoto asukɔtweaa gu fam sɛ mmosea. Hwan na ɔbɛtumi agyina nʼawɔ denden no ano?
He casts forth his ice like morsels. Who can stand before his cold?
18 Ɔsoma nʼasɛm no ma ɛnane no; ɔhwanyane ne mframa, na nsuo tene.
He sends out his word, and melts them. He causes his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
19 Wada nʼasɛm adi akyerɛ Yakob, ne mmara ne ɔhyɛ nsɛm akyerɛ Israel.
He shows his word to Jacob, his statutes and his ordinances to Israel.
20 Ɔnyɛɛ yei mmaa aman foforɔ biara; wɔnnim ne mmara. Monkamfo Awurade!
He has not dealt so with any nation. And as for his ordinances, they have not known them. Praise ye Jehovah.
