< Nnwom 143 >
1 Dawid dwom. Ao Awurade, tie me mpaeɛbɔ, tie me nkotosrɛ; wɔ wo nokorɛdie ne tenenee mu bra bɛboa me.
A Melody of David. O Yahweh, hear my prayer, Give ear to my supplications, In thy faithfulness, answer me, in thy righteousness.
2 Mfa wʼakoa nkɔ atemmuo mu, na ɔteasefoɔ biara ntene wɔ wʼanim.
Do not then enter into judgment with thy servant, for no one living, can appear just before thee.
3 Ɔtamfoɔ no taa me, ɔbɔ me hwe fam; ɔma me tena esum mu te sɛ wɔn a wɔawuwu dadaada.
For an enemy hath pursued my soul, hath crushed, to the earth, my life, hath made me dwell in dark places, like the ancient dead.
4 Ɛno enti me honhom atɔ piti wɔ me mu; na mʼakoma aba mu abu wɔ me mu.
Therefore hath my spirit, fainted concerning myself, Within me, hath, my heart, been confounded.
5 Mekae tete nna no; medwendwene wo nnwuma ne deɛ wo nsa ayɛ nyinaa ho.
I have remembered the days of aforetime, I have talked with myself of every deed of thine, Of the work of thy hands, I would speak:
6 Mepagya me nsa kyerɛ wo; wo ho sukɔm de me kra sɛ asase wesee.
I have spread out my hands unto thee, My soul, is as a thirsty land, for thee. (Selah)
7 Ao Awurade, gye me so ntɛm; me honhom tɔ piti. Mfa wʼanim nhinta me anyɛ saa a, mɛyɛ sɛ wɔn a wɔkɔ amena mu no.
Speedily answer me, O Yahweh, My spirit faileth, —Do not hide thy face from me, or I shall be made like unto them who go down into the pit.
8 Ma mente wʼadɔeɛ a ɛnsa da no ho asɛm daa anɔpa, na mede me ho ato wo so. Kyerɛ me ɛkwan a memfa so, na wo na mema me kra so kyerɛ.
Let me hear, in the morning, thy lovingkindness, for, in thee, have, I trusted, —Let me know the way in which I should walk, for, unto thee, have I uplifted my soul.
9 Ao Awurade gye me firi mʼatamfoɔ nsam, na wo mu na mede me ho hinta.
Rescue me from my foes, O Yahweh, Unto thee, have I come seeking refuge.
10 Kyerɛ me na menyɛ wʼapɛdeɛ, na wo ne me Onyankopɔn; ma wo honhom pa no nni me ɛkan wɔ asase tamaa so.
Teach me to do thy good pleasure, for, thou, art my God, —Thy spirit, is good, thou wilt set me down to rest in a level land.
11 Ao Awurade, wo din enti, kyɛe me nkwa so; wo tenenee mu, yi me firi ɔhaw mu.
For the sake of thy Name, O Yahweh, wilt thou give unto me life, In thy righteousness, wilt thou bring forth, out of distress, my soul;
12 Wɔ wʼadɔeɛ a ɛnsa da no mu, yi mʼatamfoɔ hɔ; na sɛe wɔn a wɔkyiri me nyinaa, na meyɛ wo ɔsomfoɔ.
And, in thy lovingkindness, wilt thou exterminate my foes, —and destroy all the adversaries of my soul, because, I, am thy servant.
