< Nnwom 138 >
1 Dawid deɛ. Ao Awurade, mɛfiri mʼakoma nyinaa mu ayi wo ayɛ; mɛto wʼayɛyie dwom wɔ anyame no anim.
By David. I will give you thanks with my whole heart. Before the gods, I will sing praises to you.
2 Mede mʼani bɛkyerɛ wʼasɔredan kronkron no, akoto wo na makamfo wo din wɔ wʼadɔeɛ ne wo nokorɛdie enti ɛfiri sɛ wɔapagya wo din ne wʼasɛm no asene nneɛma nyinaa.
I will bow down towards your holy temple, and give thanks to your Name for your loving kindness and for your truth; for you have exalted your Name and your Word above all.
3 Ɛberɛ a mesu mefrɛɛ wo no, wogyee me so; womaa me nyaa akokoɔduru ne nnamyɛ.
In the day that I called, you answered me. You encouraged me with strength in my soul.
4 Ao Awurade, sɛ ahemfo a ɛwɔ ewiase nyinaa te wʼanomu asɛm a ma wɔn nkamfo wo.
All the kings of the earth will give you thanks, LORD, for they have heard the words of your mouth.
5 Ma wɔnto Awurade akwan ho nnwom, na Awurade animuonyam yɛ kɛseɛ.
Yes, they will sing of the ways of the LORD, for the LORD’s glory is great!
6 Ɛwom sɛ Awurade wɔ ɔsorosoro deɛ, nanso ɔhwɛ mmɔborɔfoɔ, na ahantanfoɔ deɛ, ɔhunu wɔn akyirikyiri.
For though the LORD is high, yet he looks after the lowly; but he knows the proud from afar.
7 Ɛwom sɛ menam ɔhaw mu deɛ, nanso wobɔ me nkwa ho ban; wotene wo nsa wɔ mʼatamfoɔ abufuo so, na wode wo nsa nifa gye me nkwa.
Though I walk in the middle of trouble, you will revive me. You will stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies. Your right hand will save me.
8 Awurade bɛma deɛ wahyehyɛ ama me no aba mu; Ao Awurade, wʼadɔeɛ wɔ hɔ daa, nnyaa wo nsa ano adwuma hɔ.
The LORD will fulfil that which concerns me. Your loving kindness, LORD, endures forever. Don’t forsake the works of your own hands.
