< Nnwom 135 >

1 Monkamfo Awurade. Monkamfo Awurade din; monkamfo no, mo Awurade asomfoɔ,
Alleluia. Praise you the name of the Lord; praise the Lord, [you his] servants,
2 mo a mosom wɔ Awurade fie, wɔ adihɔ a ɛwɔ yɛn Onyankopɔn fie.
who stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God.
Praise you the Lord; for the Lord is good: sing praises to his name; for [it is] good.
4 Awurade ayi Yakob sɛ ɔnyɛ ne deɛ, wayi Israel sɛ nʼadeɛ a ɛsom bo.
For the Lord has chosen Jacob for himself, [and] Israel for his peculiar treasure.
5 Menim sɛ Awurade so; Ɔso sene anyame nyinaa.
For I know that the Lord is great, and our Lord is above all gods;
all that the Lord willed, he did in heaven, and on the earth, in the sea, and in all deeps.
7 Ɔma omununkum ma ne ho so firi asase ano ba; ɔsoma anyinam ka osutɔ ho na ɔma ahum tu firi nʼakoradan mu.
Who brings up clouds from the extremity of the earth: he has made lightnings for the rain: he brings winds out of his treasures.
8 Ɔkumm Misraim mmakan, nnipa ne mmoa mmakan.
Who struck the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.
He sent signs and wonders into the midst of you, O Egypt, on Pharao, and on all his servants.
Who struck many nations, and killed mighty kings;
11 Amorifoɔ ɔhene, Sihon Basan ɔhene, Og ne Kanaan ahemfo nyinaa,
Seon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Basan, and all the kingdoms of Chanaan:
12 na ɔde wɔn nsase maa sɛ agyapadeɛ; ɔde maa ne nkurɔfoɔ Israelfoɔ.
and gave their land [for] an inheritance, an inheritance to Israel his people.
13 Ao Awurade, wo din wɔ hɔ daa. Ao Awurade wo din ahyeta awoɔ ntoatoasoɔ nyinaa mu.
O Lord, your name [endures] for ever, and your memorial to all generations.
14 Awurade bɛdi ama ne nkurɔfoɔ na ɔbɛhunu nʼasomfoɔ mmɔbɔ.
For the Lord shall judge his people, and comfort himself concerning his servants.
15 Amanaman no ahoni yɛ dwetɛ ne sikakɔkɔɔ a wɔde onipa nsa na ayɛ.
The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the works of men's hands.
16 Wɔwɔ ano, nanso wɔntumi nkasa, wɔwɔ ani, nanso wɔnhunu adeɛ;
They have a mouth, but they can’t speak; they have eyes, but they can’t see;
17 wɔwɔ aso, nanso wɔnte asɛm, na ahomeɛ nso nni wɔn anom.
they have ears, but they can’t hear; for there is no breath in their mouth.
18 Wɔn a wɔyɛɛ ahoni no bɛyɛ sɛ wɔn ara, saa ara na wɔn a wɔde wɔn ho to wɔn so no bɛyɛ.
Let those who make them be made like to them; and all those who trust in them.
19 Monkamfo Awurade, Ao Israel fiefoɔ; monkamfo Awurade, Ao Aaron fiefoɔ;
O house of Israel, bless you the Lord: O house of Aaron, bless you the Lord:
20 monkamfo Awurade, Ao Lewi fiefoɔ; monkamfo Awurade, mo a mosuro no.
O house of Levi, bless you the Lord: you that fear the Lord, bless the Lord.
21 Momfiri Sion nkamfo Awurade, monkamfo deɛ ɔte Yerusalem no. Monkamfo Awurade.
Blessed in Sion be the Lord, who dwells in Jerusalem.
