< Nnwom 130 >
1 Ɔsorokorɔ dwom. Ao Awurade, mefiri ebunu mu resu frɛ wo;
Out of the depths I have cried to you, Adonai.
2 Ao Awurade tie me nne. Wɛn wʼaso ma me nkotosrɛ.
Lord, sh'ma ·hear obey· my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions.
3 Ao Awurade, sɛ wobu yɛn bɔne ho nkonta a, anka hwan na ɔbɛtumi agyina ano?
If you, Yah, kept a record of depravities (moral evils), Lord, who could stand?
4 Nanso, wowɔ bɔnefakyɛ; ɛno enti wɔsuro wo.
But there is forgiveness with you, therefore you are feared.
5 Metwɛn Awurade, me kra twɛn, na nʼasɛm mu na mede mʼanidasoɔ ahyɛ.
I wait for Adonai. My soul waits. I hope in his word.
6 Me kra twɛne Awurade sene sɛdeɛ awɛmfoɔ twɛne adekyeɛ, sene sɛdeɛ awɛmfoɔ twene adekyeɛ.
My soul longs for 'Adonay [Lord] more than watchmen long for the morning; more than watchmen for the morning.
7 Ao Israel, ma wʼani nna Awurade so, ɛfiri sɛ Awurade wɔ adɔeɛ a ɛwɔ hɔ daa na ɔgyeɛ amapa wɔ ne mu.
Israel [God prevails], hope in Adonai, for with Adonai there is chesed ·loving-kindness·. With him is abundant redemption.
8 Ɔno ankasa bɛgye Israel afiri wɔn bɔne nyinaa mu.
He will redeem Israel [God prevails] from all their depravities (moral evils).
