< Nnwom 121 >
1 Ɔsoroforɔ dwom. Mema mʼani so kyerɛ mmepɔ no, ɛhe na me mmoa firi bɛba?
I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from?
2 Me mmoa firi Awurade, ɔsoro ne asase yɛfoɔ no.
My help comes from Adonai, who made heaven and earth.
3 Ɔremma wo nan nwatiri, deɛ ɔhwɛ wo no, ɔrentɔ nko.
He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Ampa ara deɛ ɔhwɛ Israel no rentɔ nko na ɔrenna.
Behold, he who keeps Israel [God prevails] will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 Awurade hwɛ wo so; Awurade ne wo nwunu wɔ wo nsa nifa so;
Adonai is your keeper. Adonai is your shade on your right hand.
6 Owia renhye wo wɔ awiaberɛ mu, na ɔsrane nso renha wo anadwo.
The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
7 Awurade bɛbɔ wo ho ban afiri ɔhaw nyinaa ho, ɔbɛhwɛ wo nkwa so;
Adonai will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul.
8 Awurade bɛhwɛ wʼadifire ne wo efieba so, seesei ne daa.
Adonai will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more.
