< Nnwom 106 >
1 Monkamfo Awurade! Monna Awurade ase na ɔyɛ; na nʼadɔeɛ wɔ hɔ daa.
Praise ye Jehovah. O give thanks to Jehovah, for he is good, for his loving kindness is forever.
2 Hwan na ɔbɛtumi aka nneɛma akɛseɛ a Awurade ayɛ? Anaasɛ ɔbɛtumi aka ne nkamfo awie?
Who can utter the mighty acts of Jehovah, or show forth all his praise?
3 Nhyira nka wɔn a wɔkɔ so bu atɛntenenee, na daa wɔyɛ deɛ ɛyɛ.
Blessed are those who keep justice, and he who does righteousness at all times.
4 Ao Awurade, sɛ wohunu wo nkurɔfoɔ mmɔbɔ a kae me. Sɛ wogye wɔn nkwa a, boa me,
Remember me, O Jehovah, with the favor that thou bear to thy people. O visit me with thy salvation,
5 na manya wɔn a wapa wɔn no yiedie mu kyɛfa, na manya wo manfoɔ anigyeɛ no mu kyɛfa na me ne wʼagyapadeɛ no abɔ mu de nkamfo ama wo.
that I may see the prosperity of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.
6 Yɛayɛ bɔne sɛdeɛ yɛn nananom yɛeɛ no; yɛayɛ mfomsoɔ na yɛadi atirimuɔdensɛm.
We have sinned with our fathers. We have committed iniquity. we have done wickedly.
7 Ɛberɛ a yɛn nananom wɔ Misraim no, wɔannwene wo nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ ho; wɔankae wʼadɔeɛ bebrebe no, na wɔtee atua wɔ Ɛpo Kɔkɔɔ no ho.
Our fathers did not understand thy wonders in Egypt. They did not remember the multitude of thy loving kindnesses, but were rebellious at the sea, even at the Red Sea.
8 Nanso, ne din enti ɔgyee wɔn nkwa, sɛdeɛ ɔbɛda ne tumi kɛseɛ no adi.
Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.
9 Ɔteaa Ɛpo Kɔkɔɔ no ma ɛwee; ɔde wɔn faa abunu mu te sɛ ɛserɛ so.
He also rebuked the Red Sea, and it was dried up. So he led them through the depths as through a wilderness.
10 Ɔgyee wɔn firii ɔtamfoɔ no nsam; deɛ ɔtane wɔn nsam na ɔyii wɔn firiiɛ.
And he saved them from the hand of him who hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
11 Nsuo kataa wɔn atamfoɔ so; na ɔbaako mpo annya nkwa.
And the waters covered their adversaries; there was not one of them left.
12 Afei wɔgyee ne bɔhyɛ no diiɛ na wɔtoo nʼayɛyie dwom.
Then they believed his words. They sang his praise.
13 Nanso, ntɛm so, wɔn werɛ firii deɛ wayɛ na wɔantwɛn nʼagyinatuo.
They soon forgot his works. They did not wait for his counsel,
14 Akɔnnɔ bɛhyɛɛ wɔn mu wɔ ɛserɛ so hɔ, na wɔ asase paradada no so, wɔsɔɔ Onyankopɔn hwɛeɛ,
but lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and challenged God in the desert.
15 enti ɔmaa wɔn deɛ wɔbisaeɛ, nanso, ɔde ɔfɔn yadeɛ baa wɔn so.
And he gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.
16 Na nsraban mu hɔ wɔn ani beree Mose ne Aaron a Awurade ate ne ho no.
They also envied Moses in the camp, and Aaron the sanctified of Jehovah.
17 Asase mu buee na ɛmenee Datan na ɛsiee Abiram asafo no.
The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.
18 Egya tɔɔ wɔn akyidifoɔ no mu; ogyaframa hyee amumuyɛfoɔ no.
And a fire was kindled in their company. The flame burned up the wicked men.
19 Wɔyɛɛ nantwie ba wɔ Horeb na wɔkotoo ohoni a wɔde fagudeɛ ayɛ.
They made a calf in Horeb, and worshiped a molten image.
20 Wɔsesaa wɔn Animuonyam. Wɔde nantwinini, a ɔwe ɛserɛ nsɛsodeɛ.
Thus they changed their glory for the likeness of an ox that eats grass.
21 Wɔn werɛ firii Onyankopɔn a ɔgyee wɔn nkwa, deɛ ɔyɛɛ nneɛma akɛseɛ wɔ Misraim no,
They forgot God their Savior, who had done great things in Egypt,
22 nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ a ɔyɛɛ wɔ Ham asase so ne nneɛma a ɛyɛ hu wɔ Ɛpo Kɔkɔɔ ho no.
wondrous works in the land of Ham, and fearful things by the Red Sea.
23 Enti ɔkaa sɛ ɔbɛsɛe wɔn, nanso Mose a ɔyɛ deɛ wapa noɔ no sɔre gyinaa Onyankopɔn ne nnipa no ntam; ɔsrɛɛ no, dwodwoo nʼabufuo no ano sɛdeɛ ɔrensɛe wɔn.
Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy.
24 Afei, wɔn ani ansɔ asase fɛfɛ no; na wɔannye ne bɔhyɛ anni.
Yea, they despised the pleasant land. They did not believe his word,
25 Wɔnwiinwii wɔ wɔn ntomadan mu na wɔannyɛ ɔsetie amma Awurade.
but murmured in their tents, and did not hearken to the voice of Jehovah.
26 Enti ɔmaa ne nsa so kaa ntam kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ ɔbɛma wɔn atotɔ wɔ ɛserɛ no so,
Therefore he swore to them, that he would overthrow them in the wilderness,
27 ɔbɛma wɔn asefoɔ atotɔ wɔ amanaman mu na wabɔ wɔn ahwete nsase nyinaa so.
and that he would overthrow their seed among the nations, and scatter them in the lands.
28 Wɔde wɔn ho bɔɔ Baal-peor ho na wɔdii afɔrebɔdeɛ a wɔde ama anyame a wɔnni nkwa;
They also joined themselves to Baal-peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
29 wɔde wɔn atirimuɔdensɛm hyɛɛ Awurade abufuo na ɔyaredɔm sii wɔn mu.
Thus they provoked him to anger with their doings, and the plague broke in upon them.
30 Na Pinehas sɔre dii agyinamu, na Awurade sii ɔyaredɔm no ano.
Then Phinehas stood up, and executed judgment, and so the plague was stayed.
31 Wɔde yei yɛɛ tenenee maa Pinehas wɔ awoɔ ntoatoasoɔ a ɛnni awieeɛ a ɛbɛba no mu.
And that was reckoned to him for righteousness to all generations for evermore.
32 Meriba nsuo ho nso, wɔhyɛɛ Awurade abufuo, na wɔn enti, ɔhaw baa Mose so,
They also angered him at the waters of Meribah, so that it went ill with Moses because of them,
33 ɛfiri sɛ wɔtee Onyankopɔn Honhom anim atua, na asɛm a wannwene ho firii Mose anomu.
because they were rebellious against his spirit, and he spoke ill-advisedly with his lips.
34 Wɔansɛe nnipa no sɛdeɛ Awurade hyɛɛ wɔn no,
They did not destroy the peoples, as Jehovah commanded them,
35 nanso wɔde wɔn ho frafraa amanaman no yɛɛ nneɛma a wɔyɛ no bi.
but mingled themselves with the nations, and learned their works,
36 Wɔsomm wɔn ahoni na ɛbɛyɛɛ afidie maa wɔn.
and served their idols, which became a snare to them.
37 Wɔde wɔn mmammarima ne wɔn mmammaa bɔɔ afɔdeɛ maa abosom.
Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons,
38 Wɔkaa mogya a ɛdi bem guiɛ; wɔn mmammarima ne wɔn mmammaa mogya a wɔde bɔɔ afɔdeɛ maa Kanaan ahoni no maa asase no ho guu fi.
and shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan. And the land was polluted with blood.
39 Wɔde deɛ wɔyɛeɛ no guu wɔn ankasa ho fi; wɔnam deɛ wɔyɛeɛ no so bɔɔ adwaman.
Thus they were defiled with their works, and played the harlot in their doings.
40 Enti, Awurade bo fuu ne nkurɔfoɔ; na ɔkyirii nʼagyapadeɛ.
Therefore the wrath of Jehovah was kindled against his people, and he abhorred his inheritance.
41 Ɔdanee wɔn maa amanaman no, na wɔn atamfoɔ dii wɔn so.
And he gave them into the hand of the nations. And those who hated them ruled over them.
42 Wɔn atamfoɔ hyɛɛ wɔn so na wɔkaa wɔn hyɛɛ wɔn tumi ase.
Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.
43 Mpɛn bebree, Awurade gyee wɔn, nanso wɔkɔɔ so tee atua na wɔsɛe wɔ wɔn bɔne mu.
Many times he delivered them, but they were rebellious in their counsel, and were brought low in their iniquity.
44 Nanso ɔhunuu wɔn ahohiahia ɛberɛ a wɔsu frɛɛ noɔ no;
Nevertheless he regarded their distress when he heard their cry.
45 Wɔn enti, ɔkaee nʼapam no na ɔfirii nʼadɔeɛ kɛseɛ no mu hunuu wɔn mmɔbɔ.
And he remembered his covenant for them, and relented according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.
46 Ɔmaa sodifoɔ a wɔafa wɔn nnommum no nyaa ahummɔborɔ maa wɔn.
He also made them to be pitied by all those who carried them captive.
47 Gye yɛn, Ao Awurade yɛn nkwagyeɛ Onyankopɔn, na boaboa yɛn ano firi amanaman so, na yɛada wo din kronkron no ase, na yɛde nkamfo ahyɛ wo animuonyam.
Save us, O Jehovah our God, and gather us from among the nations, to give thanks to thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise.
48 Ayɛyie nka Awurade, Israel Onyankopɔn, ɛmfiri mmerɛsanten nkɔsi nnasanten. Momma nnipa no nyinaa nka sɛ, “Amen!” Monkamfo Awurade.
Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting. And let all the people say, Truly. Praise ye Jehovah.
