< Nnwom 105 >
1 Ɛda Awurade ase na da ne kɛseyɛ adi. Ma ewiase nyinaa nhunu deɛ wayɛ.
Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name: make known his deeds among the nations.
2 Monto dwom mma no, monto ayɛyie dwom mma no; monka nʼanwanwadeɛ no nyinaa.
Sing to him, make music to him, tell of all his wondrous works.
3 Monhoahoa mo ho wɔ ne din kronkron mu; momma wɔn a wɔhwehwɛ Awurade no nnya akoma mu anigyeɛ.
Make your boast in his holy name, be glad at heart, you who seek the Lord.
4 Momma mo ani nna Awurade ne nʼahoɔden so; na monhwehwɛ nʼanim ɛberɛ biara.
Seek after the Lord and his strength, seek his face evermore.
5 Monkae anwanwadeɛ a wayɛ ne nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ, ne atemmuo a ɔbuiɛ,
Remember the wonders he did, his portents, the judgments he uttered,
6 Ao Abraham mma, Onyankopɔn ɔsomfoɔ, Ao Yakob mma a wapa wɔn.
you who are offspring of Abraham, his servant, the children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
7 Ɔyɛ Awurade, yɛn Onyankopɔn. Nʼahennie da adi wɔ asase so nyinaa.
He is the Lord our God: in all the earth are his judgments.
8 Ɔkae nʼapam daa nyinaa, asɛm a ɔhyɛ maa awoɔ ntoantoasoɔ apem no,
He remembers forever his covenant, his promise for a thousand generations
9 apam a ɔne Abraham yɛeɛ no ntam a ɔka kyerɛɛ Isak no.
The covenant he made with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac,
10 Ɔhyɛɛ mu den maa Yakob sɛ mmara, de maa Israel sɛ apam a ɛbɛtena hɔ afebɔɔ.
and confirmed as a statute to Jacob, a pact everlasting to Israel
11 Ɔkaa sɛ, “Mede Kanaan asase no bɛma wo sɛ kyɛfa a ɛbɛyɛ wʼagyapadeɛ.”
to give them the land of Canaan as the lot which they should inherit.
12 Ɔkaa yei ɛberɛ a na wɔnnɔɔso, ahɔhokuo ketewa bi a wɔwɔ Kanaan.
And when they were very few, few and but pilgrims therein,
13 Wɔfirii aman so kɔɔ aman so; firii ahemman mu kɔɔ ahemman mu.
wandering from nation to nation, journeying from people to people,
14 Wamma obi anhyɛ wɔn so; wɔn enti, ɔkaa ahene anim sɛ:
he allowed no one to oppress them, even punishing kings for their sakes.
15 “Mommfa mo nsa nka wɔn a masra wɔn ngo; na monnyɛ mʼadiyifoɔ bɔne bi.”
He forbade them to touch his anointed, or do any hurt to his prophets.
16 Ɔmaa ɛkɔm baa asase no so na ɔsɛee akwan a wɔfa so nya wɔn aduane nyinaa;
When he called down famine on the land, and cut off the bread which sustained them,
17 na ɔsomaa ɔbarima bi dii wɔn anim, Yosef a wɔtɔn no sɛ akoa no.
he sent before them a man, Joseph, who was sold as a slave.
18 Wɔde mpokyerɛ guu ne nan, na wɔde dadeɛ nkɔnsɔnkɔnsɔn hyɛɛ ne kɔn,
His feet were galled with fetters, he was laid in chains of iron,
19 kɔsii sɛ deɛ ɔhyɛɛ ho nkɔm no baa mu, kɔsii sɛ Awurade asɛm no daa no adi sɛ ɔyɛ nokwafoɔ.
till the time that his word came to pass, the word of the Lord that had tried him.
20 Afei, ɔhene no soma ma wɔkɔgyaa no; aman no sodifoɔ gyaa no.
The king sent and freed him, the ruler of nations released him.
21 Ɔyɛɛ no ne fiefoɔ so wura, deɛ ɔwɔ nyinaa sodifoɔ,
He made him lord of his household, and ruler of all his possessions,
22 sɛ ɔnkyerɛ ne mmapɔmma deɛ ɔpɛ na ɔnkyerɛ ne mpanimfoɔ nyansa.
to admonish his princes at will and instruct his elders in wisdom.
23 Afei, Israel kɔɔ Misraim; Yakob kɔtenaa Ham asase so sɛ ɔnanani.
Thus Israel came into Egypt, Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
24 Awurade maa ne nkurɔfoɔ ase dɔreeɛ; ɔyɛɛ wɔn bebree dodo maa wɔn atamfoɔ,
His people he made very fruitful, and mightier than their foes.
25 wɔn a ɔdanee wɔn akoma sɛ wɔntane ne nkurɔfoɔ na wɔmpam nʼasomfoɔ tiri so.
He inspired them to hate his people, and to deal with his servants craftily.
26 Ɔsomaa ne ɔsomfoɔ Mose, ne Aaron a na wayi noɔ no.
He sent his servant Moses, and Aaron whom he had chosen,
27 Wɔyɛɛ ne nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ nwanwasoɔ wɔ wɔn mu, nʼanwanwadeɛ wɔ Ham asase so.
portents he wrought in Egypt, and signs in the land of Ham.
28 Ɔsomaa esum, na ɔmaa asase duruu sum ɛfiri sɛ na wɔate nʼasɛm no so atua.
Darkness he sent, and it fell: yet they gave no heed to his word.
29 Ɔmaa wɔn nsuo nyinaa danee mogya, nam so kumm emu mpataa.
He turned their waters into blood, thus causing their fish to die.
30 Mpɔtorɔ bɛhyɛɛ asase no so ma, na wɔhyɛnee ɔman no sodifoɔ mpia mu.
Their land was alive with frogs, swarming even in the royal chambers.
31 Ɔkasaeɛ, na nwansena bebree ne ntontom baa ɔman no mu baabiara.
At his command came flies, and lice in all their borders.
32 Ɔmaa wɔn osutɔ danee ampariboɔ a anyinam nenam mu wɔ ɔman no nyinaa mu;
He gave them hail for rain and fire that flashed through the land,
33 Ɔsɛee wɔn bobe ne borɔdɔma nnua na ɔbubuu ɔman no so nnua pasaa.
smiting their vines and figs, breaking the trees of their border.
34 Ɔkasaeɛ, na ntutummɛ baeɛ mmɛbɛ a wɔntumi nkan wɔn;
At his command came locusts, young locusts beyond all counting,
35 wɔwee nhahammono biara a ɛwɔ wɔn asase no so, na wɔdii wɔn mfuo so nnuane.
which ate every herb in the land, ate up, too, the fruit of their ground.
36 Afei ɔkunkumm wɔn asase so mmakan nyinaa, wɔn mmarimayɛ mu aba a ɛdi ɛkan nyinaa.
He struck down in their land all the firstborn, the firstlings of all their strength
37 Ɔyii Israelfoɔ, a wɔso dwetɛ ne sikakɔkɔɔ, firii wɔn mmusuakuo mu a obiara ho antɔ kyima.
Then forth he led Israel with silver and gold, and among his tribes no one was weary.
38 Misraim ani gyeeɛ ɛberɛ a wɔkɔeɛ, ɛfiri sɛ na Israelfoɔ ho hu atɔ wɔn so.
Egypt was glad when they left, for terror had fallen upon them.
39 Ɔtrɛɛ omununkum mu kataa wɔn so, na ɔde ogya maa wɔn, sɛ ɛnyɛ hann anadwo.
He spread out a cloud to screen them, and fire to give light in the night.
40 Wɔbisaeɛ, na ɔbrɛɛ wɔn mmoko. Ɔmaa ɔsoro aduane mee wɔn.
He sent quails at their entreaty, and heavenly bread in abundance.
41 Ɔbuee ɔbotan mu maa nsuo firii mu baeɛ; na ɛtenee wɔ ɛserɛ no so sɛ asubɔnten.
He opened the rock; waters gushed: in the desert they ran like a river.
42 Ɔkaee ne bɔhyɛ kronkron bi a ɔhyɛɛ ne ɔsomfoɔ Abraham no.
For he remembered his holy promise to Abraham his servant.
43 Ɔyii ne nkurɔfoɔ maa wɔn ani gyeeɛ. Wɔn a wapa wɔn no dii ahurisie;
So he led out his people with joy, his elect with a ringing cry.
44 ɔde amanaman no nsase maa wɔn, na deɛ ebinom abrɛ anya no bɛyɛɛ wɔn agyapadeɛ
And he gave them the lands of the nations, the fruit of their toil for possession,
45 na wɔahwɛ nʼahyɛdeɛ adi ne mmara so. Monyi Awurade ayɛ.
that so they might keep his statutes, and be of his laws observant. Hallelujah.
