< Nnwom 104 >
1 Ao me ɔkra, kamfo Awurade! Ao Awurade me Onyankopɔn, woyɛ ɔkɛseɛ! Wɔafira tumi ne animuonyam.
Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, Thou art very great; Thou art clothed with glory and majesty.
2 Ɔde hann akata ne ho sɛ atadeɛ; ɔtrɛ ɔsoro mu te sɛ ntomadan,
Who coverest Thyself with light as with a garment, who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain;
3 na ɔde ne mpia mpunan sisi nsuo so. Ɔde omununkum yɛ ne teaseɛnam na ɔde nante mframa ntaban so.
Who layest the beams of Thine upper chambers in the waters, who makest the clouds Thy chariot, who walkest upon the wings of the wind;
4 Ɔsoma nʼabɔfoɔ sɛ mframa, na ɔsoma nʼasomfoɔ sɛ ogyadɛreɛ.
Who makest winds Thy messengers, the flaming fire Thy ministers.
5 Ɔde asase asi ne fapem so na ɛrenhinhim da.
Who didst establish the earth upon its foundations, that it should not be moved for ever and ever;
6 Wode ebunu kataa so sɛ atadeɛ na nsuo gyinaa mmepɔ no so.
Thou didst cover it with the deep as with a vesture; the waters stood above the mountains.
7 Nanso wʼanimka maa nsuo no dwaneeɛ, wʼaprannaa nnyegyeeɛ ma wɔdwaneeɛ;
At Thy rebuke they fled, at the voice of Thy thunder they hasted away —
8 Wɔtenetenee faa mmepɔ so, kɔɔ mmɔnhwa mu tɔnn, kɔguu baabi a wode ama wɔn no.
The mountains rose, the valleys sank down — unto the place which Thou hadst founded for them;
9 Wotoo ɔhyeɛ a wɔrentumi ntra; na wɔammɛkata asase so bio.
Thou didst set a bound which they should not pass over, that they might not return to cover the earth.
10 Ɔma nsuwa tene fa abɔn mu; ɛtene fa mmepɔ ntam.
Who sendest forth springs into the valleys; they run between the mountains;
11 Ɔma wiram mmoa nyinaa nsuo nom; ɔma afunumu nsuo de kum wɔn sukɔm.
They give drink to every beast of the field, the wild asses quench their thirst.
12 Ewiem nnomaa nwene wɔn pirebuo wɔ nsuo no ho; na wɔto nnwom wɔ nnua no mman so.
Beside them dwell the fowl of the heaven, from among the branches they sing.
13 Ɔfiri ne soro mpia mu tɔ nsuo gugu mmepɔ so; Awurade nnwuma so aba mee asase.
Who waterest the mountains from Thine upper chambers; the earth is full of the fruit of Thy works.
14 Ɔma ɛserɛ fifiri ma anantwie, na ɔbɔɔ nnua maa onipa sɛ ɔnnua na ɛmma aduane mfiri asase mu:
Who causeth the grass to spring up for the cattle, and herb for the service of man; to bring forth bread out of the earth,
15 na onipa anya nsã ama nʼakoma atɔ ne yam, na onipa anya ngo ama nʼanim atɔ so, na aduane nso akura onipa akoma.
And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, making the face brighter than oil, and bread that stayeth man's heart.
16 Wɔgugu Awurade nnua no so yie, Lebanon ntweneduro a ɔduaeɛ no.
The trees of the LORD have their fill, the cedars of Lebanon, which He hath planted;
17 Ɛso na nnomaa yɛ wɔn mpirebuo na asukɔnkɔn nso yɛ nʼatenaeɛ wɔ pepeaa nnua no mu.
Wherein the birds make their nests; as for the stork, the fir-trees are her house.
18 Mmepɔ atentene no yɛ wiram mpɔnkye dea; na abotan yɛ dwanekɔbea ma amoakua.
The high mountains are for the wild goats; the rocks are a refuge for the conies.
19 Ɔsrane kyerɛ ɛberɛ nkyekyɛmu, na owia nim ɛberɛ a ɔkɔtɔ.
Who appointedst the moon for seasons; the sun knoweth his going down.
20 Wode esum ba ma ɛyɛ adesaeɛ na kwaeɛ mu mmoa nyinaa kɔ ahayɔ.
Thou makest darkness, and it is night, wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.
21 Gyata bobom pɛ wɔn ahaboa wɔhwehwɛ wɔn aduane firi Onyankopɔn hɔ.
The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God.
22 Owia pue ma wɔsane wɔn akyi; wɔsane kɔdeda wɔn atuo mu.
The sun ariseth, they slink away, and couch in their dens.
23 Afei, onipa kɔ nʼadwuma so kɔyɛ adwuma ara kɔsi anwummerɛ.
Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.
24 Ao Awurade, wo nnwuma dɔɔso! Nyansa mu na woyɛɛ ne nyinaa; wʼabɔdeɛ ahyɛ asase so ma.
How manifold are Thy works, O LORD! In wisdom hast Thou made them all; the earth is full of Thy creatures.
25 Ɛpo na ɛda hɔ tɛtrɛɛ hahanaa yi, a abɔdeɛ bebree a ɛnni ano, akɛseɛ ne nketewa ahyɛ no ma.
Yonder sea, great and wide, therein are creeping things innumerable, living creatures, both small and great.
26 Ɛso na ahyɛn di akɔneaba, na dɛnkyɛmmirampɔn a woyɛɛ no di agorɔ.
There go the ships; there is leviathan, whom Thou hast formed to sport therein.
27 Wɔn nyinaa hwɛ wo kwan sɛ wobɛma wɔn wɔn aduane wɔ ɛberɛ a ɛsɛ mu.
All of them wait for Thee, that Thou mayest give them their food in due season.
28 Wodema wɔn a, wɔtase; wobue wo nsam a, nnepa mee wɔn.
Thou givest it unto them, they gather it; Thou openest Thy hand, they are satisfied with good.
29 Wode wʼanim hinta wɔn a, wɔbɔ hu; sɛ wogye wɔn ahomeɛ a, wɔwuwu na wɔsane kɔ mfuturo mu.
Thou hidest Thy face, they vanish; Thou withdrawest their breath, they perish, and return to their dust.
30 Sɛ wode wo Honhom no ma wɔn a na wɔabɔ wɔn, na woyɛ asase ani foforɔ.
Thou sendest forth Thy spirit, they are created; and Thou renewest the face of the earth.
31 Ma Awurade animuonyam ntena hɔ daa; ma Awurade ani nnye ne nnwuma ho,
May the glory of the LORD endure for ever; let the LORD rejoice in His works!
32 deɛ ɔhwɛ asase na ɛwosoɔ, na ɔde ne nsa ka mmepɔ a wisie firi mu ba.
Who looketh on the earth, and it trembleth; He toucheth the mountains, and they smoke.
33 Mɛto dwom ama Awurade me nkwa nna nyinaa; sɛ mete ase yi, mɛto ayɛyie dwom ama me Onyankopɔn.
I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have any being.
34 Ɔmma mʼakoma mu mpaeɛbɔ nsɔ nʼani ɛberɛ a meregye mʼani wɔ Awurade mu yi.
Let my musing be sweet unto Him; as for me, I will rejoice in the LORD.
35 Ma nnebɔneyɛfoɔ nyera wɔ asase so; na amumuyɛfoɔ ase nhye. Ao me ɔkra, kamfo Awurade. Kamfo Awurade.
Let sinners cease out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless the LORD, O my soul. Hallelujah.
