1 Dawid deɛ. Ao me kra, kamfo Awurade; na me mu adeɛ nyinaa nkamfo ne din kronkron no.
Of David. O my soul, bless the Lord; and all that is in me, his holy name.
2 Ao me kra, kamfo Awurade, na mma wo werɛ mfiri ne nneyɛeɛ pa nyinaa,
O my soul, bless the Lord; and forget not one of his benefits.
3 ɔno na ɔde wo mfomsoɔ nyinaa kyɛ woɔ na ɔsa wo nyarewa nyinaa,
He pardons all your sins, he heals all your diseases.
4 ɔgye wo nkwa firi damena mu na ɔde adɔeɛ ne mmɔborɔhunu bɔ wo abotire,
He ransoms your life from the pit, he crowns you with kindness and pity.
5 ɔde nnepa ma wo sɛ wʼapɛdeɛ na wo mmeranteberɛ yɛ foforɔ sɛ ɔkɔdeɛ.
He gives you your heart’s desire, renewing your youth like the eagle’s.
6 Awurade yɛ adetenenee na ɔbu wɔn a wɔhyɛ wɔn so nyinaa atɛntenenee.
The Lord executes justice – and right for all who are wronged.
7 Ɔkyerɛɛ Mose nʼakwan, na ɔmaa Israelfoɔ hunuu ne nneyɛɛ.
He revealed his ways to Moses, his acts to the children of Israel.
8 Mmɔborɔhunufoɔ ne ɔdomfoɔ ne Awurade, ne bo kyɛre fu na nʼadɔeɛ dɔɔso.
Full of pity and grace is the Lord, patient, and rich in kindness:
9 Ɔrenkɔ so mmɔ soboɔ, na ɔrennya yɛn ho menasepɔ nkɔsi daa;
he will not always chide, nor cherish his anger forever.
10 Ɔrenhwɛ yɛn bɔne ne yɛn nni sɛdeɛ ɛfata na ɔrentua yɛn nnebɔne so ka sɛdeɛ ɛteɛ.
Not after our sins has he dealt with us, nor requited us after our wickedness.
11 Na sɛdeɛ ɔsoro ne asase ntam ware no, saa ara na nʼadɔeɛ so wɔ wɔn a wɔsuro no so.
For high as the heavens o’er the earth is his love over those who fear him.
12 Sɛdeɛ apueeɛ ne atɔeɛ ntam ware no, saa ara na wama yɛn ne yɛn mmarato ntam kwan aware.
Far as is east from the west has he put our transgressions from us.
13 Sɛdeɛ agya yam hyehye no ne mma ho no, saa ara na Awurade yam hyehye no ma wɔn a wɔsuro no,
As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear him;
14 na ɔnim sɛdeɛ wɔyɛɛ yɛn, ɔkae sɛ yɛyɛ mfuturo.
for well he knows our frame, he remembers that we are dust.
15 Ɔdasani deɛ, ne nna te sɛ ɛserɛ, ɔyɛ frɔmm sɛ wiram nhwiren;
A person’s days are as grass; blossoms like a flower of the meadow.
16 sɛ mframa bɔ fa ne so a, na ɔnni hɔ, na ne sibea nnim no bio.
At the breath of the wind it is gone, and the place thereof knows it no more.
17 Nanso ɛfiri mmerɛsanten kɔsi nnasanten Awurade adɔeɛ wɔ wɔn a wɔsuro no so, na ne tenenee wɔ wɔn mma mma so,
But the love of the Lord is eternal, and his kindness to children’s children,
18 wɔn a wɔdi nʼapam no so na wɔkae di ne mmara so.
to those who keep his covenant and mindfully do his behests.
19 Awurade asi nʼahennwa wɔ soro, na nʼahennie di adeɛ nyinaa so.
The Lord has set his throne in the heavens; the whole world is under his sway.
20 Monkamfo Awurade, mo a moyɛ nʼabɔfoɔ, mo atumfoɔ a moyɛ nʼahyɛdeɛ, mo a motie nʼasɛm.
Bless the Lord, you angels of his, mighty heroes performing his word.
21 Monkamfo Awurade, ɔsoro asafo nyinaa, nʼasomfoɔ a moyɛ nʼapɛdeɛ.
Bless the Lord, all you his hosts, you servants who do his will.
22 Monkamfo Awurade, ne nnwuma nyinaa deɛ ɛwɔ nʼaheman mu nyinaa. Ao me ɔkra, kamfo Awurade!
Bless the Lord, all you his works, far as his sway extends. O my soul, bless the Lord.
