1 Nwoma yi firi Paulo ne Timoteo a wɔyɛ Kristo Yesu nkoa nkyɛn, Yɛde kɔma Yesu Kristo mu ahotefoɔ ne ahwɛfoɔ ne asomafoɔ a wɔwɔ Filipi no nyinaa:

Paul and Timotheus the seruants of IESVS CHRIST, to all the Saintes in Christ Iesus which are at Philippi, with the Bishops, and Deacons:

2 Adom ne asomdwoeɛ a ɛfiri yɛn Agya Onyankopɔn ne Awurade Yesu Kristo nka mo.

Grace be with you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Iesus Christ.

3 Ɛberɛ biara a mekae mo no, meda Onyankopɔn ase.

I thanke my God, hauing you in perfect memorie,

4 Saa ara nso na da biara mede anigyeɛ bɔ mpaeɛ ma mo,

(Alwayes in all my praiers for all you, praying with gladnesse)

5 ɛfiri sɛ, ɛfiri da a ɛdi ɛkan de bɛsi sɛsɛɛ no, moaboa me wɔ asɛmpaka no adwumayɛ mu.

Because of the fellowship which ye haue in the Gospel, from the first day vnto nowe.

6 Yei enti, megye di yie sɛ, Onyankopɔn a ɔhyɛɛ aseɛ yɛɛ saa adwuma pa yi wɔ mo mu no bɛkɔ so de akɔsi da a Yesu Kristo bɛba no.

And I am persuaded of this same thing, that he that hath begunne this good worke in you, wil perfourme it vntill the day of Iesus Christ,

7 Sɛdeɛ mo ho adwene pa wɔ me tirim no enti, sɛ daa mekae mo a, na ne kwan so ara ne no. Ɛfiri sɛ, sɛ meda mpɔkyerɛ mu, anaasɛ mede me ho na mereka Asɛmpa no a, mo nyinaa ne me nya Onyankopɔn adom.

As it becommeth me so to iudge of you all, because I haue you in remembrance that both in my bands, and in my defence, and confirmation of the Gospell you all were partakers of my grace.

8 Onyankopɔn ankasa di me adanseɛ sɛ mʼani agyina mo wɔ Yesu Kristo ɔdɔ mu.

For God is my recorde, howe I long after you all from the very heart roote in Iesus Christ.

9 Me mpaeɛ a mebɔ ma mo ne sɛ, ɔdɔ a mode dodɔ mo ho mo ho no mu bɛyɛ den, na mobɛnyini wɔ nimdeɛ ne nteaseɛ mu,

And this I pray, that your loue may abound, yet more and more in knowledge, and in all iudgement,

10 sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a mobɛhunu deɛ ɛyɛ na da a Kristo bɛba no, moayɛ kronn a obi nka asɛm bi ntia mo.

That ye may alowe those things which are best, that ye may be pure, and without offence vntill the day of Christ,

11 Nneɛma pa a Yesu Kristo no nko bɛtumi de ama mo no bɛhyɛ mo abrabɔ ma de ahyɛ Onyankopɔn animuonyam, akamfo no.

Filled with the fruites of righteousnesse, which are by Iesus Christ vnto the glorie and praise of God.

12 Anuanom, mepɛ sɛ mote aseɛ sɛ nneɛma a aba me so nyinaa aboa ama Asɛmpa no atrɛ.

I would ye vnderstood, brethren, that the things which haue come vnto me, are turned rather to the furthering of the Gospell,

13 Ɛno enti, awɛmfoɔ a wɔwɔ ahemfie ha ne afoforɔ a wɔka wɔn ho no nyinaa nim sɛ, ɛsiane sɛ meyɛ Kristo ɔsomfoɔ no enti na meda afiase.

So that my bandes in Christ are famous throughout all the iudgement hall, and in all other places,

14 Afiase a meda no ahyɛ anuanom bebree nkuran wɔ Awurade mu ma wɔtumi ka Onyankopɔn asɛm no wɔ akokoɔduru so a wɔnsuro hwee.

In so much that many of the brethren in the Lord are boldened through my bandes, and dare more frankely speake the word.

15 Ɛyɛ nokorɛ sɛ wɔn mu binom nam nitan ne ntɔkwapɛ so ka Kristo ho asɛm foforɔ, na afoforɔ nso de adwene pa na ɛka ne ho asɛm.

Some preache. Christ euen through enuie and strife, and some also of good will.

16 Wɔn a wɔde adwene pa ka asɛm no firi ɔdɔ mu na ɛka, ɛfiri sɛ, wɔnim sɛ Onyankopɔn asɛm enti na meda afiase.

The one part preacheth Christ of contention and not purely, supposing to adde more affliction to my bandes.

17 Afoforɔ a wɔnam nitan ne ntɔkwapɛ so ka asɛm no nso dwene sɛ wɔnam saa kwan yi so bɛma mʼahohiahia aboro so wɔ mʼafiase nna yi mu.

But the others of loue, knowing that I am set for the defence of the Gospell.

18 Yei enti, na ayɛ ɛdeɛn? Ɛyɛ me anigyesɛm. Deɛ ɛhia ara ne sɛ, sɛ wɔfiri adwene pa anaa adwemmɔne mu no, Kristo ho asɛm ara na wɔka. Na yei enti mʼani gye na mɛkɔ so ama mʼani agye,

What then? yet Christ is preached all maner wayes, whether it be vnder a pretence, or syncerely: and I therein ioye: yea and will ioye.

19 ɛfiri sɛ, menim sɛ mo mpaeɛbɔ ne adom a ɛfiri Yesu Kristo Honhom mmoa mu no enti, wɔbɛgyaa me.

For I knowe that this shall turne to my saluation through your prayer, and by the helpe of the Spirit of Iesus Christ,

20 Mepɛ ne mʼanidasoɔ titire ne sɛ, mmerɛ nyinaa mede nsi ne anem bɛyɛ mʼadwuma; mpo saa ɛberɛ yi, sɛ mete ase o, sɛ mewu o, mede me onipadua nyinaa bɛhyɛ Kristo animuonyam.

As I feruently looke for, and hope, that in nothing I shalbe ashamed, but that with all confidence, as alwayes, so nowe Christ shalbe magnified in my body, whether it be by life or by death.

21 Me deɛ, Kristo enti na mete ase; na mpo, owuo yɛ me mfasoɔ.

For Christ is to me both in life, and in death aduantage.

22 Nanso sɛ mete ase a, mɛtumi ayɛ adwuma a ɛho wɔ mfasoɔ ama Kristo. Ɛno enti, menhunu mu deɛ memfa, asetena anaasɛ owuo.

And whether to liue in the flesh were profitable for me, and what to chuse I knowe not.

23 Yei adi me aniani. Pɛ na mepɛ sɛ metu firi ewiase ne Kristo kɔtena, ɛfiri sɛ, ɛno mmom na ɛyɛ;

For I am distressed betweene both, desiring to be loosed and to be with Christ, which is best of all.

24 nanso mo enti, sɛ mete ase nso a, anka ɛyɛ.

Neuerthelesse, to abide in the flesh, is more needefull for you.

25 Menim sɛ me ho hia wɔ asase yi so ha; ɛno enti, megye di sɛ mɛtena ha kakra na maboa mo ama moanyini wɔ gyidie mu anya anigyeɛ.

And this am I sure of, that I shall abide, and with you all continue, for your furtherance and ioy of your faith,

26 Mʼasetena yi bɛma mo ani agye na sɛ mesane bɛsra mo bio a, mobɛnya biribi agyina so ahyɛ Kristo animuonyam sɛ ɔbɔɔ me ho ban.

That ye may more aboundantly reioyce in IESVS CHRIST for me, by my comming to you againe.

27 Seesei, adeɛ a ɛho hia me ne sɛ, biribiara a ɛbɛto mo no, momma mo abrabɔ mfata Kristo Asɛmpa no nko ara, sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, sɛ yɛhyia o, sɛ yɛanhyia o, mɛte mo ho asɛm pa sɛ mogyina pintinn na mokura botaeɛ korɔ ne gyidie korɔ wɔ Asɛmpa no ho.

Onely let your conuersation be, as it becommeth the Gospel of Christ, that whether I come and see you, or els be absent, I may heare of your matters that ye continue in one Spirit, and in one mind, fighting together through the faith of the Gospel.

28 Monnsuro mo atamfoɔ. Biribiara a mobɛyɛ no, momfa akokoɔduru nnyina pintinn. Na yei bɛdi adanseɛ sɛ wɔbɛdi nkoguo na moadi nkonim, ɛfiri sɛ, Onyankopɔn ka mo ho.

And in nothing feare your aduersaries, which is to them a token of perdition, and to you of saluation, and that of God.

29 Na mo deɛ, ɛnyɛ sɛ wɔadom mo sɛ monni Kristo akyi nko, na mmom, sɛ mobɛhunu amane nso.

For vnto you it is giuen for Christ, that not onely ye should beleeue in him, but also suffer for his sake,

30 Afei mobɛtumi ne me abom ako ɔko a mereko no. Saa ɔko yi na ɛberɛ a atwam no, mekoeɛ no, na megu so reko sɛdeɛ mote no no.

Hauing the same fight, which ye sawe in me, and nowe heare to be in me.
