< Filemon 1 >

1 Nwoma yi firi Paulo a ɛsiane Kristo Yesu enti, meyɛ odeduani no ne yɛn nuabarima Timoteo nkyɛn, Yɛde kɔma yɛn adamfo ne yɛn yɔnko Filemon
Paul a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy a brother, to Philemon our beloved brother and fellow-laborer, and to the beloved Apphia,
2 ne asafo a wɔhyia wɔ wo fie no ne yɛn nuabaa Apia ne yɛn yɔnko ɔsraani Arkipo no:
and to Archippus our fellow-soldier, and to the church in thine house,
3 Adom ne asomdwoeɛ a ɛfiri yɛn Agya Onyankopɔn ne Awurade Yesu Kristo nka mo.
grace and peace be to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
4 Onua Filemon, ɛberɛ biara a mebɔ mpaeɛ no, mebɔ bi ma wo na meda me Onyankopɔn nso ase.
I thank my God always making mention of thee in my prayers,
5 Mete ɔdɔ a wodɔ Onyankopɔn nkurɔfoɔ ne gyidie a wowɔ wɔ Awurade Yesu mu no.
(hearing of the faith which thou hast towards the Lord Jesus, and of thy love to all the saints, )
6 Mebɔ mpaeɛ sɛ wobɛkɔ so abɔ wo gyidie no ho dawuro akyerɛ afoforɔ sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a wobɛhunu nhyira a Kristo de ama yɛn no nyinaa.
that the communication of thy faith may become effectual in the acknowledgement of all the good that is in you towards Christ Jesus:
7 Onua pa, wo dɔ no ama me anigyeɛ na ahyɛ me nkuran nso. Woakanyane Onyankopɔn nkurɔfoɔ.
for we have much joy and comfort in thy love, because by thee, dear brother, the bowels of the saints are refreshed.
8 Sɛ meyɛ wo nua wɔ Kristo mu enti, mɛtumi de akokoɔduru ahyɛ wo, ama woayɛ deɛ ɛsɛ sɛ woyɛ,
Wherefore though I have sufficient authority in Christ to enjoin thee what is meet,
9 nanso ɔdɔ so, me Paulo a meyɛ akɔkoraa ɛne Kristo Yesu deduani seesei,
I would rather intreat thee out of love to me, being such a one as Paul the aged, and now a prisoner too for the sake of Jesus Christ.
10 meresrɛ wo ama me ba Onesimo a ɔbɛyɛɛ me ba ɛberɛ a na meda afiase no.
I intreat thee then for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds,
11 Ɛberɛ bi a atwam no na ne ho nni mfasoɔ mma wo, nanso seesei deɛ, ne ho wɔ mfasoɔ ma me ne wo.
who was formerly unprofitable to thee, but now profitable both to thee and to me; whom I have sent back to thee:
12 Merema ɔno a ɔyɛ mʼankasa mʼakoma no asane nʼakyi aba wo nkyɛn.
him therefore, as my own bowels, do thou receive.
13 Esiane asɛmpa no enti, mepɛɛ sɛ ɔtena me nkyɛn ɛberɛ a meda afiase yi sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, ɔbɛsi wʼananmu aboa me.
Whom I would gladly have kept with me, that he might have ministered unto me as thou wouldst have done, in the bonds of the gospel.
14 Nanso, mempɛ sɛ mehyɛ wo sɛ boa me. Mmom, mepɛ sɛ wo ara wofiri wo pɛ mu boa me. Ɛno enti, merenyɛ biribiara gye sɛ wopene so.
But I would do nothing without thy knowledge, that thy kindness might not be as it were forced, but voluntary.
15 Ebia na Onesimo firii wo nkyɛn ɛberɛ tiawa bi sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a wobɛgye no ato mu bio afebɔɔ. (aiōnios g166)
For perhaps he was therefore parted from thee for a season, that thou mightest receive him for ever: (aiōnios g166)
16 Seesei ɔnyɛ ɔsomfoɔ kɛkɛ ɛfiri sɛ, ɔkyɛn ɔsomfoɔ. Ɔyɛ onua pa wɔ Kristo mu. Ɔsom bo ma me. Saa ara nso na ɔbɛsom bo ama wo sɛ ɔsomfoɔ ne onua wɔ Awurade mu.
not now as a servant, but above a servant, a dear brother, especially to me, and how much more to thee both in the flesh and in the Lord.
17 Enti, sɛ wodwene me ho sɛ wo fafafoɔ a, saa ara nso na gye no awaawaatuu sɛdeɛ wobɛgye me no ara.
If therefore thou accountest me a friend, receive him as thou wouldst receive me.
18 Sɛ wayɛ wo biribi anaasɛ ɔde wo ka bi a, mɛtua wo ka.
If he hath wronged thee in any thing, or is indebted to thee, place it to my accompt:
19 Me Paulo, mede mʼankasa me nsa retwerɛ sɛ mɛtua wo ka, na mmom mma wo werɛ mfiri sɛ wo nso wode me ka, a ɛyɛ wʼankasa wo nkwa.
I Paul have written it with my own hand, I will pay it: not to say that thou indeed owest even thy own self to me.
20 Enti, me nua, mesrɛ wo sɛ, Awurade enti, yɛ me saa adɔeɛ yi; ka mʼakoma hye sɛ wo nua wɔ Kristo mu.
Yea, my brother, let me enjoy this satisfaction from thee in the Lord: and thus refresh my bowels in the Lord.
21 Mewɔ anidasoɔ sɛ, deɛ meretwerɛ wo yi, wobɛyɛ ama aboro deɛ merebisa wo yi so.
Being fully persuaded of thy compliance, I have written to thee; knowing that thou wilt indeed do more than I ask.
22 Afei pɛ ɛdan ma me, ɛfiri sɛ, menim sɛ Onyankopɔn bɛtie mo mpaeɛbɔ ama mabɛka mo ho bio.
But I must add, prepare me also a lodging; for I hope that through your prayers I shall be restored to you.
23 Epafra a Kristo Yesu enti ɔne me da afiase no kyea wo.
Epaphras my fellow-prisoner in Christ Jesus, and Marcus,
24 Saa ara nso na Marko, Aristarko, Dema ne Luka nso kyea wo.
Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke my fellow-laborers, salute thee.
25 Awurade Kristo adom nka mo nyinaa.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
