< Filemon 1 >

1 Nwoma yi firi Paulo a ɛsiane Kristo Yesu enti, meyɛ odeduani no ne yɛn nuabarima Timoteo nkyɛn, Yɛde kɔma yɛn adamfo ne yɛn yɔnko Filemon
PAULOS, the bondman of Jeshu Meshiha, and the brother Timotheos, to the beloved Philemon, our fellow-labourer,
2 ne asafo a wɔhyia wɔ wo fie no ne yɛn nuabaa Apia ne yɛn yɔnko ɔsraani Arkipo no:
and to our beloved Aphia, and to Arkipos our fellowlabourer, 1 and to the church which is in thy house.
3 Adom ne asomdwoeɛ a ɛfiri yɛn Agya Onyankopɔn ne Awurade Yesu Kristo nka mo.
Grace be with thee, and peace, from Aloha our Father, and from our Lord Jeshu Meshiha.
4 Onua Filemon, ɛberɛ biara a mebɔ mpaeɛ no, mebɔ bi ma wo na meda me Onyankopɔn nso ase.
I give thanks to Aloha at all time, and remember thee in my prayers.
5 Mete ɔdɔ a wodɔ Onyankopɔn nkurɔfoɔ ne gyidie a wowɔ wɔ Awurade Yesu mu no.
Behold, from (the time) when I heard of thy faith, and the love which thou hast to our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, and to all the saints,
6 Mebɔ mpaeɛ sɛ wobɛkɔ so abɔ wo gyidie no ho dawuro akyerɛ afoforɔ sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a wobɛhunu nhyira a Kristo de ama yɛn no nyinaa.
(I have prayed) that there may be communication of thy faith (in) yielding fruits, in works and in the (manifestation of the) knowledge of all good which thou hast in Jeshu Meshiha.
7 Onua pa, wo dɔ no ama me anigyeɛ na ahyɛ me nkuran nso. Woakanyane Onyankopɔn nkurɔfoɔ.
For we have great joy and consolation, that by thy love the bowels of the saints are refreshed.
8 Sɛ meyɛ wo nua wɔ Kristo mu enti, mɛtumi de akokoɔduru ahyɛ wo, ama woayɛ deɛ ɛsɛ sɛ woyɛ,
Wherefore I have great confidence in the Meshiha to command thee those acts which are righteous,
9 nanso ɔdɔ so, me Paulo a meyɛ akɔkoraa ɛne Kristo Yesu deduani seesei,
but for love's sake entreating I entreat of thee, I, Paulos, who am the aged as thou knowest, but now also the bondman of Jeshu Meshiha.
10 meresrɛ wo ama me ba Onesimo a ɔbɛyɛɛ me ba ɛberɛ a na meda afiase no.
And I entreat of thee for my son, whom I have begotten in my bonds, Onesimos,
11 Ɛberɛ bi a atwam no na ne ho nni mfasoɔ mma wo, nanso seesei deɛ, ne ho wɔ mfasoɔ ma me ne wo.
who once was of no use to thee, but (who will) now to thee, as also to me, be greatly useful;
12 Merema ɔno a ɔyɛ mʼankasa mʼakoma no asane nʼakyi aba wo nkyɛn.
and I have sent him to thee. But thou, as (one) who is my offspring, so receive him.
13 Esiane asɛmpa no enti, mepɛɛ sɛ ɔtena me nkyɛn ɛberɛ a meda afiase yi sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, ɔbɛsi wʼananmu aboa me.
For I would have retained him with me, that he might have served me for thy sake in the bonds of the gospel;
14 Nanso, mempɛ sɛ mehyɛ wo sɛ boa me. Mmom, mepɛ sɛ wo ara wofiri wo pɛ mu boa me. Ɛno enti, merenyɛ biribiara gye sɛ wopene so.
but without thy counsel I was not willing to do any thing, that thy goodness might not be as by constraint, but of thy will.
15 Ebia na Onesimo firii wo nkyɛn ɛberɛ tiawa bi sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a wobɛgye no ato mu bio afebɔɔ. (aiōnios g166)
But, perhaps, for this he passed away for an hour, that thou mayest hold him for ever; (aiōnios g166)
16 Seesei ɔnyɛ ɔsomfoɔ kɛkɛ ɛfiri sɛ, ɔkyɛn ɔsomfoɔ. Ɔyɛ onua pa wɔ Kristo mu. Ɔsom bo ma me. Saa ara nso na ɔbɛsom bo ama wo sɛ ɔsomfoɔ ne onua wɔ Awurade mu.
not henceforth as a servant, but as more than a servant, a beloved brother of mine, and how much more of thine, both in the flesh and in our Lord!
17 Enti, sɛ wodwene me ho sɛ wo fafafoɔ a, saa ara nso na gye no awaawaatuu sɛdeɛ wobɛgye me no ara.
If then thou art with me a partaker, receive him as mine.
18 Sɛ wayɛ wo biribi anaasɛ ɔde wo ka bi a, mɛtua wo ka.
And if of any thing he hath deprived thee, or oweth, that reckon unto me.
19 Me Paulo, mede mʼankasa me nsa retwerɛ sɛ mɛtua wo ka, na mmom mma wo werɛ mfiri sɛ wo nso wode me ka, a ɛyɛ wʼankasa wo nkwa.
I, Paulos, have written with my hands, I will repay thee; for I will not tell thee that thou owest thyself to me.
20 Enti, me nua, mesrɛ wo sɛ, Awurade enti, yɛ me saa adɔeɛ yi; ka mʼakoma hye sɛ wo nua wɔ Kristo mu.
Yes, my brother, I will be refreshed by thee in our Lord; refresh my bowels in the Meshiha.
21 Mewɔ anidasoɔ sɛ, deɛ meretwerɛ wo yi, wobɛyɛ ama aboro deɛ merebisa wo yi so.
Because I am confident of thy hearing me, I have written to thee, and I know that more than I have asked thou wilt do.
22 Afei pɛ ɛdan ma me, ɛfiri sɛ, menim sɛ Onyankopɔn bɛtie mo mpaeɛbɔ ama mabɛka mo ho bio.
But at once also prepare me a house of lodging, for I hope through your prayers I shall be given to you.
23 Epafra a Kristo Yesu enti ɔne me da afiase no kyea wo.
Epaphra, a captive with me in Jeshu Meshiha,
24 Saa ara nso na Marko, Aristarko, Dema ne Luka nso kyea wo.
and Markos, and Aristarkos, and Dema, and Luka, my helpers, ask for your peace.
25 Awurade Kristo adom nka mo nyinaa.
The grace of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha be with your spirit, my brethren. Amen.
