Nehemia 11

1 Afei, saa ɛberɛ yi, na ɔmanfoɔ no ntuanofoɔ tete Yerusalem, kuropɔn kronkron no mu. Wɔbɔɔ ntonto kronkron wɔ nnipa no a na wɔtete Yuda ne Benyamin nkuro bi no so, yii mu nkyɛmu edu mu baako, ma wɔn nso kɔtenaa hɔ. Na nkaeɛ no deɛ, wɔtenaa deɛ wɔte hɔ ara.

And the rulers of the people dwelt in Jerusalem, —and, the rest of the people, cast lots, to bring in one out of ten to dwell in Jerusalem, the holy city, and nine parts in [other] cities.

2 Na ɔmanfoɔ no kamfoo obiara a ɔfiri ne pɛ mu sane kɔtenaa Yerusalem no.

And the people bestowed a blessing on all the men, who willingly offered themselves to dwell in Jerusalem.

3 Amantam mu mpanimfoɔ a wɔbaa Yerusalem no din na wɔatwerɛ wɔ ha yi. Ɔmanfoɔ no mu fa kɛseɛ a wɔyɛ asɔfoɔ, Lewifoɔ, Asɔredan mu asomfoɔ ne Salomo asomfoɔ asefoɔ no kɔɔ so tenaa wɔn ankasa afie mu wɔ Yuda nkuro ahodoɔ so,

Now, these, are the chiefs of the province, who dwelt in Jerusalem, but, in the cities of Judah, dwelt every man in his possession throughout their cities, Israel, the priests, and the Levites and the Nethinim, and the Sons of the Servants of Solomon.

4 nanso, nnipa no bi a wɔfiri Yuda ne Benyamin mu no sane kɔtenaa Yerusalem. Yuda abusuakuo mu nnipa no nie: Usia babarima Ataia, Sakaria babarima, Amaria babarima, Sefatia babarima, Mahalalel babarima a ɔfiri Peres abusua mu;

And, in Jerusalem, dwelt certain of the sons of Judah and of the sons of Benjamin, —Of the sons of Judah, Athaiah son of Uzziah, son of Zechariah, son of Amariah, son of Shephatiah, son of Mahalalel, of the sons of Perez;

5 Baruk babarima Maaseia, Kol-Hose babarima, Hasaia babarima, Adaia babarima, Yoiarib babarima, Sakaria babarima a ɔfiri Sela abusua mu.

and Maaseiah son of Baruch, son of Col-hozeh, son of Hazaiah, son of Adaiah, son of Joiarib, son of Zechariah, son of the Shilonite.

6 Afei, na Peres asefoɔ ahanan ne aduosia nwɔtwe a wɔdi mu no na na wɔte Yerusalem.

All the sons of Perez who were dwelling in Jerusalem, four hundred and sixty-eight, men of ability.

7 Benyamin abusuakuo no mu nnipa nie: Mesulam babarima Salu, Yoed babarima, Pedaia babarima, Kolaia babarima, Maaseia babarima, Itiel babarima ne Yesaia babarima;

And, these, are the sons of Benjamin, —Sallu son of Meshullam, son of Joed, son of Pedaiah, son of Kolaiah, son of Maaseiah, son of Ithiel, son of Jeshaiah;

8 na nʼakyiri no na Gabai ne Salai, ne abusuafoɔ ahankron aduonu nwɔtwe ba.

and, after him, Gabbai, Sallai, —nine hundred and twenty-eight.

9 Wɔn panin pa ara no ne Sikri babarima Yoɛl na Hasenua, a ɔyɛ kuropɔn no sohwɛfoɔ abadiakyire babarima Yuda boaa no.

And, Joel son of Zichri, was in charge over them, —and, Judah son of Hassenuah, was over the city, as second.

10 Asɔfoɔ no mu nnipa nie: Yoiarib babarima Yedaia; Yakin;

Of the priests, Jedaiah son of Joiarib, Jachin;

11 ne Hilkia babarima Seraia, Mesulam babarima, Sadok babarima, Meraiot babarima ne Ahitub a na ɔyɛ Onyankopɔn Asɔredan no sohwɛfoɔ babarima,

Seraiah son of Hilkiah, son of Meshullam, son of Zadok, son of Meraioth, son of Ahitub, chief ruler of the house of God;

12 ne wɔn mfɛfoɔ aha nwɔtwe aduonu mmienu a, na wɔyɛ adwuma wɔ Asɔredan no mu, ne Yeroham babarima Adaia, Pelalia babarima, Amsi babarima, Sakaria babarima, Pashur babarima, Malkia babarima

and their brethren who were doing the work of the house, eight hundred and twenty-two, —and Adaiah son of Jeroham, son of Pelaliah, son of Amzi, son of Zechariah, son of Pashhur, son of Malchijah;

13 ne ne mfɛfoɔ ahanu aduanan mmienu a wɔyɛ wɔn mmusua ntuanofoɔ. Wɔn a na wɔka ho nso ne Asarel babarima Amasai, Ahsai babarima, Mesilemot babarima, Imer babarima

and his brethren, ancestral chiefs, two hundred and forty-two, —and Amashsai son of Azarel, son of Ahzai, son of Meshillemoth, son of Immer;

14 ne ne mfɛfoɔ atitire ɔha aduonu nwɔtwe. Wɔn panin pa ara a ɔtua wɔn ano no ne Hagedolim babarima Sabdiel.

and their brethren, strong men of ability, a hundred and twenty-eight, —and, he who was in charge of them, was Zabdiel, son of Haggedolim.

15 Lewifoɔ no nso nie: Hasub babarima Semaia, Asrikam babarima, Hasabia babarima, Buni babarima;

And, of the Levites, Shemaiah son of Hasshub, son of Azrikam, son of Hashabiah, son of Bunni;

16 ne Sabetai ne Yosabad a na wɔhwɛ Onyankopɔn Asɔredan no mfikyire dwumadie so;

and Shabbethai and Jozabad, over the outside business of the house of God, of the chiefs of the Levites;

17 Mika babarima Matania, Sabdi babarima a ɔyɛ Asaf aseni a ɔde mpaeɛbɔ buee aseda afɔdeɛ som ano; Bakbukia a na ɔyɛ Matania abadiakyire ne Samua babarima Abda, Galal babarima, Yedutun babarima.

and Mattaniah son of Mica, son of Zabdi, son of Asaph, leader of the praise who giveth thanks, in prayer, and Bakbukiah the second among his brethren, —and Obadiah son of Shemaiah, son of Galal, son of Jeduthun.

18 Ne nyinaa mu, na Lewifoɔ ahanu aduɔwɔtwe ɛnan na na wɔwɔ kuropɔn kronkron no mu.

All the Levites in the holy city, were two hundred and eighty-four.

19 Aponoanohwɛfoɔ no nie: Akub, Talmon ne wɔn mfɛfoɔ ɔha aduɔson mmienu a na wɔwɛn wɔ apono no ano.

And, the door-keepers—Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren who were keeping watch in the gates, were a hundred and seventy-two.

20 Asɔfoɔ a aka no, Lewifoɔ ne Israelfoɔ nkaeɛ no tenatenaa Yudaman mu baabiara a wɔn agyapadeɛ wɔ.

But, the residue of Israel, the priests, the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, every one in his inheritance.

21 Nanso, Asɔredan mu asomfoɔ no a na wɔn ntuanofoɔ yɛ Siha ne Gispa no deɛ, wɔn nyinaa kɔtenaa Ofel kokoɔ so.

Howbeit, the Nethinim, were dwelling in Ophel, —and, Ziha and Gishpa, were over the Nethinim.

22 Na ɔpanin pa ara a ɔtua Lewifoɔ a wɔwɔ Yerusalem ano no ne Bani babarima Usi, Hasabia babarima, Matania babarima, Mika babarima a ɔyɛ Asaf aseni, a na nʼabusuafoɔ somm sɛ nnwomtofoɔ wɔ Onyankopɔn asɔredan mu no.

And, the overseer of the Levites in Jerusalem, was Uzzi son of Bani, son of Hashabiah, son of Mattaniah, son of Mica, —of the sons of Asaph the singers, to take lead in the business of the house of God.

23 Na wɔhyɛ ɔhene mmara a ɛkyerɛ deɛ ɛsɛ sɛ wɔyɛ da biara no ase.

For, the commandment of the king, was upon them, —as to a fixed provision for the singers, the need of a day upon its day.

24 Mesesabel babarima Petahia a ɔyɛ Yuda babarima Serah aseni no yɛ ɔhene ananmusini wɔ ɔman no amammuo mu.

And, Pethahiah son of Meshezabel, of the sons of Zerah, son of Judah, was at the hand of the king, in every matter pertaining to the people.

25 Yudafoɔ no bi tenaa Kiriat-Arba ne ne nkuraaseɛ, Dibon ne ne nkuraaseɛ ne Yekabseel ne ne nkuraaseɛ.

And, as for the villages in their fields, some of the sons of Judah, dwelt in Kiriath-arba, and the hamlets thereof, and in Dibon, and the hamlets thereof, and in Jekabzeel, and the villages thereof;

26 Wɔtenatenaa Yesua, Molada, Bet-Pelet,

and in Jeshua, and in Moladah, and in Beth-pelet;

27 Hasar-Sual, Beer-Seba ne ɛho nkuraa so,

and in Hazar-shual, and in Beer-sheba, and the hamlets thereof;

28 Siklag ne Mekona ne ɛho nkuraa so.

and in Ziklag, and in Meconah, and in the hamlets thereof,

29 Na wɔtete En-Rimon, Sora, Yarmut,

and in En-rimmmon, and in Zorah, and in Jarmuth;

30 Sanoa ne Adulam ne wɔn nkuraa so nso. Na wɔtete Lakis ne ne mfuo a ɛbemmɛn hɔ no so ne Aseka ne ne nkuraa so nso. Enti, Yudafoɔ no tenatena nsase a ɛfiri Beer-Seba kɔsi Hinom bɔnhwa no mu.

Zanoah, Adullam and their villages, Lachish, and the fields thereof, Azekah, and the hamlets thereof, —so they encamped from Beer-sheba, unto the valley of Hinnom.

31 Benyamin nkurɔfoɔ no bi tenaa Geba, Mikmas, Aya ne Bet-El ne ɛho nkuraa so.

And, the sons of Benjamin, [dwelt] from Geba, to Michmas and Aija, and Bethel, and the hamlets thereof:

32 Ebinom nso tenatenaa Anatot, Nob, Anania,

Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah;

33 Hasor, Rama, Gitaim,

Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim;

34 Hadid, Seboim, Nebalat,

Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat;

35 Lod, Ono ne Adwumfoɔ Bɔnhwa mu nso.

Lod and Ono, the valley of craftsmen.

36 Wɔmaa Lewifoɔ a na wɔtete Yuda no bi kɔkaa Benyamin abusuakuo no ho, ne wɔn tenaeɛ.

Howbeit, of the Levites, certain courses of Judah, pertained unto Benjamin.
