1 Yesu Kristo a ɔfiri Ɔhene Dawid ne Abraham abusua mu no mpanimfoɔ din na ɛdidi soɔ yi:
The Lineage Roll of Jesus Christ, —Son of David, Son of Abraham.
2 Abraham ba ne Isak, Isak ba ne Yakob; Yakob nso mma ne Yuda ne ne nuanom.
Abraham begat Isaac, and Isaac begat Jacob, and Jacob, begat Judah and his brethren;

And Judah begat Perez and Zarah of Tamah, and Perez begat Hezron, and Hezron begat Ram;

And Ram begat Amminadab, and Amminadab begat Nashon, and Nashon begat Salmon;
5 Salmon ne ne yere Rahab woo Boas; Boas ne ne yere Rut woo Obed; Obed nso woo Yisai.
And Salmon begat Boaz of Rahab, and Boaz begat Obed of Ruth, and Obed begat Jesse;
6 Yisai ba ne Ɔhene Dawid. Dawid ba ne Salomo. Dawid ne Batseba a na anka ɔyɛ Uria yere no na wɔwoo Salomo.
And Jesse begat David the King. And David begat Solomon of her [that had been the wife] of Uriah;
7 Salomo woo Rehoboam; Rehoboam woo Abia; Abia woo Asa.
And Solomon begat Rehoboam, and Rehoboam begat Abijah, and Abijah begat Asa;
8 Asa woo Yehosafat; Yehosafat woo Yoram, Yoram nso woo Usia
And Asa begat Jehoshaphat, and Jehoshaphat begat Joram, and Joram begat Uzziah;
9 Usia ba ne Yotam; Yotam ba ne Ahas: Ahas ba ne Hiskia.
And Uzziah begat Jotham, and Jotham begat Ahaz, and Ahaz begat Hezekiah:
10 Hiskia ba ne Manase, Manase ba ne Amon; Amon nso ba ne Yosia.
And Hezekiah begat Manasseh, and Manasseh begat Amon, and Amon begat Josiah;
11 Yosia woo Yekonia ne ne nuanom. Wɔwoo wɔn ɛberɛ a na Yudafoɔ te nnommum mu wɔ Babilon no.
And Josiah begat Jechoniah, and his brethren, —upon the removal to Babylon.
12 Wɔn a wɔfiri Babilon nnommum mu baeɛ no akyi awoɔ ntoatoasoɔ nie: Yekonia woo Sealtiel; Sealtiel woo Serubabel.
And, after the removal to Babylon, Jechoniah begat Shealtiel, and Shealtiel begat Zerubbabel;
13 Serubabel woo Abihud; Abihud woo Eliakim; Eliakim nso woo Asor.
And Zerubbabel begat Abiud, and Abiud begat Eliakim, and Eliakim begat Azor;
14 Asor ba ne Sadok; Sadok ba ne Akim; Akim ba ne Elihud.
And Azor begat Sadoc, and Sadoc begat Achim, and Achim begat Eliud;
15 Elihud ba ne Eleasa; Eleasa ba ne Matan. Matan nso ba ne Yakob;
And Eliud begat Eleazar, and Eleazar begat Matthan, and Matthan begat Jacob; —
16 Yakob woo Yosef a ɔwaree Maria no. Saa Maria yi na ɔwoo Yesu Kristo.
And Jacob begat Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, —who is called Christ.

So then, all the generations from Abraham unto David, are, fourteen, generations, and, from David unto the removal to Babylon, fourteen, generations; and, from the removal to Babylon unto the Christ, fourteen, generations.
18 Sɛdeɛ Yesu Kristo awoɔ ho nsɛm teɛ nie: Wɔde ne maame Maria maa Yosef sɛ ɔnware no, nanso ansa na wɔbɛhyiam sɛ awarefoɔ no, ɔhunuu sɛ wanyinsɛn deɛ ɛfiri Honhom Kronkron.
Now the birth, of [Jesus] Christ, was, thus: His mother Mary having been betrothed to Joseph, —before they came together, she was found with child by [the] Holy Spirit.

Moreover, Joseph her husband, being, righteous, and yet unwilling to expose her, —intended, privately, to divorce her.
20 Ɛberɛ a asɛm no ayɛ Yosef dadwene no, Awurade ɔbɔfoɔ bɛyii ne ho adi kyerɛɛ no daeɛ mu. Ɔbɔfoɔ no ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Yosef, Dawid aseni, nnyae Maria awadeɛ ɛfiri sɛ, ne nyinsɛn no firi Honhom Kronkron.
But, when, these things, he had pondered, lo! a messenger of the Lord, by dream, appeared to him, saying, —Joseph, son of David! do not fear to take unto thee Mary thy wife, for, that which, in her, hath been begotten, is of [the], Holy, Spirit.
21 Ɔbɛwo ɔbarima na wɔato no edin Yesu, aseɛ ne Agyenkwa, ɛfiri sɛ, ɔno na ɔbɛgye ne nkurɔfoɔ nkwa afiri wɔn bɔne mu.”
Moreover she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus, —for, he, will save his people from their sins.

But, all this, hath come to pass, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord, through the prophet, saying:

Lo! a Virgin, shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, —and they shall call his name Emmanuel; which is, being translated, God with us.
24 Ɛberɛ a Yosef nyaneeɛ no, ɔyɛɛ sɛdeɛ ɔbɔfoɔ no hyɛɛ no sɛ ɔnyɛ no. Enti ɔkɔfaa Maria baa ne fie ma ɔbɛyɛɛ ne yere.
And Joseph, awaking, from his sleep, did as the messenger of the Lord directed him, —and took unto him his wife;
25 Yosef ne Maria anhyia da kɔsii sɛ Maria woo ɔbabarima maa Yosef too ne din “Yesu.”
and knew her not, until she had brought forth a son, —and he called his name Jesus.
