Mateo 4
1 Yei akyi no, Honhom Kronkron faa Yesu kɔɔ ɛserɛ so sɛ ɔbonsam nkɔsɔ no nhwɛ.
Then was Jesus led up by the Spirit into the wilderness, to be tempted by the Devil.
2 Saa ɛberɛ no mu, Yesu dii mmuada adaduanan awia ne anadwo. Yei maa ɛkɔm dee no.
And when he had tasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward hungry.
3 Ɔbonsam baa Yesu nkyɛn bɛka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Sɛ wone Onyankopɔn Ba no a, ka na saa aboɔ yi nnane aduane.”
And the tempter came and said to him, If thou art the Son of God, command that these stones become loaves of bread.
4 Yesu buaa no sɛ, “Wɔatwerɛ sɛ, ‘Ɛnyɛ aduane nko ara na ɛho hia onipa wɔ nʼasetena mu, na mmom, deɛ ɛhia titire ne Onyankopɔn asɛm.’”
But he answered and said, It is written, “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceedeth from the mouth of God.”

Then the Devil taketh him into the holy city, and setteth him on the pinnacle of the temple;
6 na ɔka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Sɛ wone Onyankopɔn Ba no ampa ara a, huri firi deɛ wogyina hɔ si fam, ɛfiri sɛ, wɔatwerɛ sɛ, “‘Onyankopɔn bɛsoma nʼabɔfoɔ abɛsɔ wo, na woammɛhwe abotan so.’”
and saith to him, If thou art the Son of God, cast thyself down; for it is written, “He will give his angels charge concerning thee; and in their hands they will bear thee up, that thou mayst not dash thy foot against a stone.”
7 Yesu buaa bio sɛ, “Wɔatwerɛ sɛ, ‘Nsɔ Awurade wo Onyankopɔn nhwɛ.’”
Jesus said to him, Again it is written, “Thou shalt not make trial of the Lord thy God.”
8 Yei akyi no, ɔbonsam de Yesu kɔɔ bepɔ tenten bi apampam. Ɔde nʼani kari kyerɛɛ no ewiase ahennie ahodoɔ ne emu animuonyam nyinaa.
Again, the Devil taketh him m an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and their glory;
9 Afei, ɔka kyerɛɛ Yesu sɛ, “Sɛ wobɛkoto asom me a, mede deɛ wohunu yi nyinaa bɛma wo.”
and said to him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
10 Ɛhɔ ara na Yesu buaa sɛ, “Firi me so, Ɔbonsam! Hunu sɛ, wɔatwerɛ sɛ ‘Koto som Awurade, wo Onyankopɔn, na ɔno nko ara na som no.’”
Then saith Jesus to him, Be gone, Satan! for it is written, “Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”
11 Yesu ano siiɛ no, ɔbonsam gyaa no hɔ kɔeɛ. Ɛno akyi, abɔfoɔ baa Yesu nkyɛn bɛsom no.
Then the Devil leaveth him; and lo! angels came and ministered to him.
12 Yesu tee sɛ wɔakyere Yohane no, ɔkɔɔ Galilea.
Now when Jesus heard that John had been cast into prison, he withdrew into Galilee.
13 Ɔduruu Galilea no, wantena Nasaret, na mmom, ɔtwaam Nasaret hɔ kɔtenaa Kapernaum a ɛwɔ Galilea mpoano no, Sebulon ne Naftali ahyeɛ so.
And leaving Nazara, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, on the shore of the lake, in the borders of Zebulun and Naphtali;
14 Yei maa deɛ Odiyifoɔ Yesaia kaeɛ sɛ,
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,
15 “Sebulon asase ne Naftali asase, ɛpo ɛkwan so, Yordan agya, Galilea a amanamanfoɔ te hɔ,
“The land of Zebulun, and the land of Naphtali, by the way of the lake beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles,
16 nnipa a wɔte sum mu no, Hann kɛseɛ bi apue ama wɔn. Hann no apue ama wɔn a wɔte owuo asase so.”
the people that sat in darkness, saw a great light; and upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death, light arose.”
17 Ɛfiri saa ɛberɛ no, Yesu firii nʼasɛnka ase sɛ, “Monnu mo ho, momfa mo ho mma Onyankopɔn na ɔsoro ahennie no abɛn.”
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
18 Ɛda bi a Yesu nam Galilea mpoano no, ɔhunuu anuanom baanu bi a wɔn nyinaa yɛ afarefoɔ sɛ wɔregu asau ɛpo no mu. Saa anuanom yi mu baako din de Simon a ne din foforɔ nso de Petro. Ɔbaako no nso din de Andrea.
And while walking by the lake of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the lake; for they were fishers.
19 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Mommɛdi mʼakyi na mɛkyerɛ mo ɛkwan a wɔfa so yi nnipa kra.”
And he saith to them, Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.
20 Ɛhɔ ara, wɔgyaa wɔn asau no guu hɔ bɛdii nʼakyi ne no kɔeɛ.
And they immediately left their nets, and followed him.
21 Ɔkɔɔ nʼanim kakra no, ɔhunuu Sebedeo mma baanu a wɔfrɛ ɔbaako Yohane ɛnna ɔbaako nso din de Yakobo, sɛ wɔne wɔn agya te kodoɔ mu retuatua wɔn asau mu. Yesu frɛɛ wɔn nso sɛ wɔmmɛdi nʼakyi.
And going on from thence, he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.
22 Ntɛm ara, wɔgyaa wɔn agya ne kodoɔ no hɔ bɛdii nʼakyi.
And they immediately left the boat and their father, and followed him.
23 Yesu kyinkyinii Galileaman mu nyinaa kaa ahennie no ho asɛmpa wɔ Yudafoɔ hyiadan mu. Ɔsaa nyarewa ahodoɔ a wɔde baa nʼanim nyinaa nso.
And he went round the whole of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the glad tidings of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
24 Yesu anwanwadeɛ a ɔyɛeɛ yi trɛ kɔduruu Siriaman mu nyinaa. Yei maa wɔde wɔn a ahonhommɔne wɔ wɔn so, wɔn a wɔtwa, wɔn a wɔyare mmubuiɛ ne wɔn a nyarewa ahodoɔ ha wɔn no nyinaa firi Siriaman mu brɛɛ no ma ɔsaa wɔn nyinaa yadeɛ.
And his fame went forth into all Syria; and they brought to him all that were sick, afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were possessed by demons, and lunatics, and those who were struck with palsy; and he healed them.
25 Anwanwadeɛ a Yesu yɛeɛ yi maa nnipakuo a wɔfiri Galilea ne Nkuro Edu “Dekapoli” no mu ne Yerusalem ne Yordan agya tu dii nʼakyi.
And great multitudes followed him from Galilee and Decapolis and Jerusalem and Judaea, and from beyond the Jordan.
