< Mateo 20 >

1 Yesu sane buu wɔn ɛbɛ foforɔ bi sɛ, “Ɔsoro Ahennie te sɛ okuafoɔ bi a ɔfirii adi anɔpa bi, sɛ ɔrekɔhwehwɛ nnipa abɔ wɔn paa.
For the kingdom of heaven is like to a man [that is] a householder, who went out early in the morning to hire laborers into his vineyard.
2 Ne nsa kaa apaafoɔ no, ɔne wɔn hyehyɛɛ sɛ ɔbɛma wɔn ɛda koro adwuma so akatua.
And when he had agreed with the laborers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
3 “Ankyɛre ɔfirii adi bio kɔhunuu nnipa bi nso, sɛ wɔgyinagyina hɔ a wɔnyɛ hwee na wɔrehwehwɛ obi ama wabɔ wɔn paa.
And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the market-place,
4 Ɔfaa wɔn nso de wɔn kɔɔ nʼafuo no mu. Ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn nso sɛ, ɔbɛma wɔn ɛda koro adwuma so akatua.
And said to them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatever is right, I will give you. And they departed.
5 “Ɔsane kɔɔ owigyinaeɛ ne nnɔnmiɛnsa ɛberɛ mu kɔbɔɔ nnipa foforɔ paa ne wɔn yɛɛ nhyehyɛeɛ korɔ no ara bi.
Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.
And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith to them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
7 “Wɔyii ano sɛ, ‘Obi mmɛbɔɔ yɛn paa.’ “Ɛhɔ ara na ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, ‘Ɛnneɛ monkɔka apaafoɔ a wɔreyɛ adwuma wɔ mʼafuom no ho.’
They say to him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith to them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatever is right, [that] shall ye receive.
8 “Ɛduruu anwummerɛ no, ɔfrɛɛ deɛ ɔtua nʼapaafoɔ no ka no ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, ‘Hwɛ na tua wɔn ka, firi wɔn a wɔbaa akyire no so kɔsi wɔn a wɔbaa kane no so.’
So when evening was come, the lord of the vineyard saith to his steward, Call the laborers, and give them [their] hire, beginning from the last to the first.
9 “Apaafoɔ a ɔfaa wɔn akyire no nyinaa, ɔtuaa wɔn ɛda koro apaabɔdeɛ.
And when they came that [were hired] about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.
10 Wɔn a wɔfaa wɔn kane no nso baeɛ. Wɔsusuu sɛ wɔbɛnya sika a ɛboro wɔn a ɔfaa wɔn akyire no deɛ no so. Nanso, wɔn nso, ɔtuaa wɔn sɛdeɛ ɔtuaa wɔn a wɔbaa akyire no ara pɛ.
But when the first came, they supposed that they should receive more; and they likewise received every man a penny.
11 Wɔn nsa kaa wɔn apaabɔdeɛ no, anyɛ wɔn dɛ.
And when they had received [it], they murmured against the master of the house.
12 Wɔka kyerɛɛ afuowura no sɛ, ‘Nnipa a wɔbaa akyire no yɛɛ adwuma dɔnhwereɛ baako pɛ, nso yɛn a yɛyɛɛ adwuma firi anɔpa ma owia hyee yɛn no, womaa yɛne wɔn nyinaa akatua pɛ.’
Saying, These last have wrought [but] one hour, and thou hast made them equal to us, who have borne the burden and heat of the day.
13 “Ɔbuaa wɔn mu baako sɛ, ‘Damfo, menyɛɛ wo bɔne biara. Me ne wo anni ano sɛ, mɛma wo ɛda koro adwuma so akatua anaa?
But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst thou not agree with me for a penny?
14 Fa sika a wo nsa aka no na kɔ. Ɛfiri me pɛ mu na meretua wɔn a wɔbaa kane ne wɔn a wɔbaa akyire no nyinaa ka pɛ.
Take [that] which [is] thine, and depart: I will give to this last, even as to thee.
15 Mmara bi si me ho ɛkwan sɛ mede me sika yɛ deɛ mepɛ? Anaasɛ mʼayamyɛ enti na wʼani abere yi?’
Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with my own? is thy eye evil because I am good?
16 “Asɛm a Yesu ka de wieeɛ ne sɛ, ‘Saa ara na wɔn a wɔdi akyire no bɛdi ɛkan, na wɔn a wɔdi ɛkan no nso bɛdi akyire.’”
So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many are called, but few chosen.
17 Yesu siim sɛ ɔrekɔ Yerusalem no, ɔde nʼasuafoɔ no kaa ne ho.
And Jesus going up to Jerusalem, took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said to them,
18 Wɔrekɔ no, ɔtwee nʼasuafoɔ no gyinaa nkyɛn baabi ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Yɛrekɔ Yerusalem. Wɔbɛyi me ama asɔfoɔ mpanin ne twerɛsɛm no akyerɛkyerɛfoɔ, na wɔabu me kumfɔ.
Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man will be betrayed to the chief priests, and to the scribes, and they will condemn him to death,
19 Wɔde me bɛhyɛ Roma aban nsa, na wɔadi me ho fɛw, abɔ me asɛnnua mu, na ne nnansa so no, mɛsɔre afiri awufoɔ mu.”
And will deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify [him]: and the third day he will rise again.
20 Sebedeo mma Yakobo ne Yohane ne wɔn maame baa Yesu nkyɛn. Ɔbaa yi de adesrɛdeɛ bi bɛtoo Yesu anim.
Then came to him the mother of Zebedee's children, with her sons, worshiping [him], and desiring a certain thing of him.
21 Yesu bisaa no sɛ, “Ɛdeɛn na wopɛ sɛ menyɛ mma woɔ?” Ɔbuaa no sɛ, “Mepɛ sɛ, sɛ wokɔ wʼahennie mu a, me mma baanu yi mu baako tena wo nifa so, na ɔbaako nso tena wo benkum so.”
And he said to her, What wilt thou: She saith to him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left in thy kingdom.
22 Nanso, Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Wonnim deɛ worebisa no.” Afei, ɔdanee ne ho bisaa Yakobo ne Yohane sɛ, “Mobɛtumi anom kuruwa a merebɛnom ano no bi anaa?” Wɔbuaa no sɛ, “Yɛbɛtumi!”
But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say to him, We are able.
23 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Me kuruwa ano deɛ, mobɛtumi anom, nanso menni tumi sɛ meyi wɔn a wɔbɛtena me nifa anaa me benkum so. Saa afa no wɔ hɔ ma wɔn a mʼagya ayi wɔn no.”
And he saith to them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but [it shall be given] to them for whom it is prepared by my Father.
24 Asuafoɔ edu a aka no tee deɛ Yakobo ne Yohane akɔbisa no, wɔn bo fuiɛ.
And when the ten heard [it], they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.
25 Yesu frɛɛ wɔn nyinaa ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Monim sɛ ahene ne atumfoɔ di wɔn a wɔhyɛ wɔn ase no so. Saa ara nso na wɔn a wɔdi wɔn so no nso di afoforɔ so.
But Jesus called them [to him], and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.
26 Nanso, mo deɛ, ɛnte saa wɔ mo mu. Mmom, obiara a ɔpɛ sɛ ɔyɛ kɛse wɔ mo mu no, ɛsɛ sɛ ɔyɛ mo ɔsomfoɔ.
But it shall not be so among you: but whoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;
27 Obiara a ɔpɛ sɛ ɔyɛ ɔkannifoɔ wɔ mo mu no, ɔnyɛ mo akoa.
And whoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
28 Onipa Ba no amma sɛ wɔnsom no, na mmom ɔbɛsomoeɛ, na ɔde ne ɔkra too hɔ sɛ agyedeɛ maa nnipa nyinaa.”
Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
29 Yesu ne nʼasuafoɔ firi Yeriko rekɔ no, nnipadɔm tu dii wɔn akyi.
And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.
30 Wɔrekɔ no, wɔkɔfaa baabi a anifirafoɔ baanu bi teteɛ. Anifirafoɔ yi tee sɛ Yesu retwam no, wɔteateaam sɛ, “Awurade, Dawid Ba, hunu yɛn mmɔbɔ!”
And behold, two blind men sitting by the way-side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, [thou] son of David.
31 Nnipadɔm a wɔdi Yesu akyi no teateaa wɔn sɛ wɔmmua wɔn ano. Nanso, anifirafoɔ no kɔɔ so teateaam sɛ, “Awurade, Dawid Ba, hunu yɛn mmɔbɔ!”
And the multitude rebuked them, that they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, [thou] son of David.
32 Yesu duruu deɛ wɔteteɛ hɔ no, ɔgyina, bisaa wɔn sɛ, “Ɛdeɛn na mopɛ sɛ meyɛ ma mo?”
And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do to you?
33 Wɔka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Awurade, yɛpɛ sɛ yɛhunu adeɛ!”
They say to him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.
34 Anifirafoɔ no yɛɛ Yesu mmɔbɔ. Ɔde ne nsa kekaa wɔn ani, na prɛko pɛ, wɔhunuu adeɛ, na wɔdii nʼakyi.
So Jesus had compassion [on them], and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.
