< Mateo 16 >
1 Ɛda koro bi, Farisifoɔ ne Sadukifoɔ baa Yesu nkyɛn bɛsɔɔ no hwɛeɛ wɔ frɛ a ɔfrɛ ne ho sɛ Onyankopɔn Ba no ho. Wɔka kyerɛɛ no sɛ ɔnyɛ nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ bi a ɛfiri ɔsoro nkyerɛ wɔn.
The Pharisees also and the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would show them a sign from heaven.
2 Yesu buaa wɔn sɛ, “Monim ewiem nsakraeɛ ho nkyerɛaseɛ. Sɛ owia rekɔtɔ, na ewiem yɛ kɔkɔɔ a, moka sɛ ɔkyena ewiem bɛte.
He answered and said to them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.
3 Sɛ ɛduru anɔpa na ewiem yɛ kɔkɔɔ a, moka sɛ ewiem rente da mu no nyinaa. Nanso, montumi nkyerɛ mmerɛ mu nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ no ase.
And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and threatening. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?
4 Saa ɔman nnebɔneyɛfoɔ a wɔnnye hwee nni yi hwehwɛ sɛ wɔbɛhunu ɛsoro nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ bi, nanso wɔrenhunu nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ foforɔ biara ka anwanwadeɛ a wɔyi kyerɛɛ Yona no ho.” Yesu kaa saa wieeɛ no, ɔgyaa wɔn hɔ kɔeɛ.
A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh for a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah. And he left them, and departed.
5 Asuafoɔ no tware kɔɔ asuogya nohoa no, wɔkaee sɛ anka ɛsɛ sɛ wɔfa aduane.
And when his disciples had come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread.
6 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Monhwɛ mo ho so yie wɔ Farisifoɔ ne Sadukifoɔ nyaatwom a ɛte sɛ mmɔreka no ho.”
Then Jesus said to them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
7 Asuafoɔ no susuu sɛ gyama wɔnkura aduane biara no enti na Yesu kaa saa.
And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.
8 Yesu hunuu deɛ wɔdwennwene no, ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Mo a mo gyidie sua! Adɛn na ɛha mo sɛ moamfa aduane?
Which when Jesus perceived, he said to them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?
9 Enti, morente aseɛ da? Mo werɛ afiri burodo enum a mebubuu mu maa nnipa mpemnum no ne aseɛ mporoporowa nkɛntɛmma a ɛkaeɛ no?
Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
10 Mo werɛ asane afiri burodo nson a mede maa nnipa mpemnan ne deɛ ɛkaeɛ no?
Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
How is it that ye do not understand that I spoke not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?
12 Afei, asuafoɔ no tee deɛ ɔkaeɛ no ase sɛ, Farisifoɔ ne Sadukifoɔ mmɔreka ho asɛm a ɔreka akyerɛ no yɛ Farisifoɔ ne Sadukifoɔ nkyerɛkyerɛ bɔne bi no ho asɛm na ɔreka.
Then they understood that he did not warn them against the leaven of bread, but against the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
13 Ɛberɛ a Yesu baa Kaesarea Filipi fam no, ɔbisaa nʼasuafoɔ no sɛ, “Nnipa ka sɛ Onipa Ba no ne hwan?”
When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Who do men say that I the Son of man am?
14 Wɔbuaa no sɛ, “Ebinom se wone Yohane Osubɔni. Ebinom nso se Elia. Afoforɔ nso se wone Yeremia anaa adiyifoɔ no mu baako.”
And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elijah; and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.
15 Afei, Yesu bisaa wɔn sɛ “Na mo nso, mose mene hwan?”
He saith to them, But who say ye that I am?
16 Simon Petro buaa no sɛ, “Wone Kristo no, Onyankopɔn Teasefoɔ no Ba no!”
And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Onyankopɔn ahyira wo, Yona ba Simon. Ɛfiri sɛ, ɛnyɛ onipa na ɔyii yei kyerɛɛ wo, na mmom, mʼagya a ɔwɔ ɔsoro no.
And Jesus answered and said to him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it to thee, but my Father who is in heaven.
18 Wone Petro, Ɔbotan, na ɔbotan yi so na mede mʼasafo bɛsie, na tumi a ɛwɔ ɔbonsam gyam no rentumi mmubu no da. (Hadēs )
And I say also to thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (Hadēs )
19 Mede Ɔsoro Ahennie no nsafoa bɛma wo, na ɛpono biara a wobɛto mu wɔ asase so no, wɔbɛto mu wɔ ɔsoro; na ɛpono biara a wobɛbue wɔ asase so no, wɔbɛbue wɔ ɔsoro!”
And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
20 Afei, Yesu bɔɔ nʼasuafoɔ no ano sɛ wɔnnka nkyerɛ obiara sɛ ɔno ne Agyenkwa no.
Then he charged his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.
21 Ɛfiri saa ɛberɛ no, Yesu hyɛɛ aseɛ kaa kɔ a ɔbɛkɔ Yerusalem, ne amaneɛ a ɛbɛto no wɔ hɔ wɔ Yudafoɔ mpanin, asɔfoɔ mpanin ne twerɛsɛm no akyerɛkyerɛfoɔ no nsam na wɔakum no, na nnansa so no wanyane no ho asɛm pefee kyerɛɛ nʼasuafoɔ no.
From that time forth Jesus began to show to his disciples, that he must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
22 Petro frɛɛ Yesu kɔɔ nkyɛn na ɔkaa nʼanim sɛ, “Adɛn enti na woka asɛm a ɛte saa! Onyame mpa ngu! Deɛ woreka yi remma wo so da!”
Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be to thee.
23 Yesu danee ne ho kaa Petro anim sɛ, “Ɔbonsam, firi me so! Woyɛ suntidua kɛseɛ ma me. Wodwene nnipa adwene na ɛnyɛ Onyankopɔn deɛ.”
But he turned, and said to Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence to me: for thou savourest not the things that are of God, but those that are of men.
24 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafoɔ no sɛ, “Sɛ obi pɛ sɛ ɔdi mʼakyi a, ɔmpa ne ho akyi, na ɔmma nʼasɛnnua so, na ɔnni mʼakyi.
Then said Jesus to his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
25 Na obiara a ɔpɛ sɛ ɔgye ne ɔkra nkwa no, ɛbɛfiri ne nsa, na obiara a me enti, ne ɔkra bɛfiri ne nsa no, ne nsa bɛsane aka.
For whoever will save his life shall lose it: and whoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
26 Na sɛ onipa nya ewiase yi mu nneɛma nyinaa na ɔhwere ne ɔkra a, mfasoɔ bɛn na ɔbɛnya? Ɛdeɛn na onipa bɛtumi de asi ne ɔkra ananmu?
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
27 Na me, Onipa Ba no, mɛba wɔ mʼagya animuonyam mu a mʼabɔfoɔ ka me ho na mabɛbu obiara nneyɛeɛ ho atɛn.
For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
28 “Nokorɛ mese mo sɛ: Mo mu bi renwu kɔsi sɛ mobɛhunu Onipa Ba no sɛ ɔreba nʼahennie mu.”
Verily I say to you, There are some standing here, who shall not taste death, till they shall see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
