< Mateo 10 >
Then He called to Him His twelve disciples and gave them authority over foul spirits, to drive them out; and to cure every kind of disease and infirmity.
2 Yesu asuafoɔ dumienu no din nie: Simon a ne din baako ne Petro ne ne nua Andrea; Yakobo ne ne nua Yohane a wɔyɛ Sebedeo mma no,
Now the names of the twelve Apostles were these: first, Simon called Peter, and his brother Andrew; James the son of Zabdi, and his brother John;
3 Filipo ne Bartolomeo, Toma ne ɔtogyefoɔ Mateo, Yakobo, Alfeo ba ɛne Tadeo,
Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas and Matthew the tax-gatherer, James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;
4 Simon a ɔfiri Kana ne Yuda Iskariot a akyire yi, ɔyii Yesu maeɛ no.
Simon the Cananaean, and Judas the Iscariot, who also betrayed Him.
5 Yesu somaa asuafoɔ dumienu no hyɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Monnkɔ deɛ amanamanmufoɔ wɔ anaa Samariafoɔ kuro biara mu,
These twelve Jesus sent on a mission, after giving them their instructions: "Go not," He said, "among the Gentiles, and enter no Samaritan town;
6 na mmom, monkɔ Onyankopɔn nnwan a wɔwɔ Israel a wɔayera no nkyɛn.
but, instead of that, go to the lost sheep of Israel's race.
7 Monkɔka nkyerɛ wɔn sɛ, ‘Onyankopɔn Ahennie no abɛn!’
And as you go, preach and say, 'The Kingdom of the Heavens is close at hand.'
8 Monsa ayarefoɔ yadeɛ, monnyane awufoɔ, momma akwatafoɔ ho nte, na montu ahonhommɔne. Sɛdeɛ monyaa no kwa no, saa ara na mo nso momfa mma kwa.
Cure the sick, raise the dead to life, cleanse lepers, drive out demons: you have received without payment, give without payment.
9 “Mommfa sikakɔkɔɔ, dwetɛ anaa kɔbere biara mmɔ mo ho.
"Provide no gold, nor even silver nor copper to carry in your pockets;
10 Mommfa akwantubɔtɔ anaa ntadeɛ anaa mpaboa anaa poma mmienu. Ɛsɛ sɛ odwumayɛfoɔ didi.
no bag for your journey, nor change of linen, nor shoes, nor stick; for the labourer deserves his food.
11 Kuro biara a mobɛkɔ mu anaa akuraa biara a mobɛkɔ aseɛ no, monhwehwɛ onipa a onyamesuro wɔ ne mu akyiri kwan na montena ne nkyɛn kɔsi da a mobɛfiri hɔ akɔ baabi foforɔ.
"Whatever town or village you enter, inquire for some good man; and make his house your home till you leave the place.
12 Sɛ mokɔ efie bi mu a, monkyea wɔn sɛ, ‘Asomdwoeɛ nka mo!’
When you enter the house, salute it;
13 Sɛ saa efie no mufoɔ gye mo fɛ so a, monhyira wɔn, na sɛ wɔannye mo deɛ a, monnhyira wɔn.
and if the house deserves it, the peace you invoke shall come upon it. If not, your peace shall return to you.
14 Sɛ morefiri efie anaa kuro biara a wɔannye mo wɔ mu no mu akɔ a, momporoporo efie no anaa kuro no mu mfuturo a ɛwɔ mo nan ase no ngu hɔ.
And whoever refuses to receive you or even to listen to your Message, as you leave that house or town, shake off the very dust from your feet.
15 Nokorɛ nie, Atemmuo da no, Sodom ne Gomora mpo bɛnya baabi agyina wɔ Onyankopɔn anim sene saa kuro no.
I solemnly tell you that it will be more endurable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of Judgement than for that town.
16 “Monkae sɛ meresoma mo sɛ nnwan akɔ mpataku mu. Monyɛ anifire sɛ awɔ na monnwo sɛ mmorɔnoma.
"Remember it is I who am sending you out, as sheep into the midst of wolves; prove yourselves as sagacious as serpents, and as innocent as doves.
17 Nanso, monhwɛ yie wɔ nnipa ho! Wɔbɛkyere mo, adi mo asɛm, abɔ mo mmaa wɔ wɔn asɔredan mu.
But beware of men; for they will deliver you up to appear before Sanhedrins, and will flog you in their synagogues;
18 Me enti, wɔde mo bɛkɔ atumfoɔ ne ahene anim. Yei bɛma mo anya ɛkwan aka asɛmpa no akyerɛ wɔn ne amanamanmufoɔ no.
and you will even be put on trial before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness to them and to the Gentiles.
19 Sɛ wɔkyere mo a, monnnwene asɛm a mobɛka de ayi mo ho ano. Wɔde asɛm a mobɛka no bɛma mo ɛberɛ a ɛsɛ mu.
But when they have delivered you up, have no anxiety as to how you shall speak or what you shall say; for at that very time it shall be given you what to say;
20 Asɛm a mobɛka no remfiri mo, na mmom, mo ɔsoro Agya no honhom na ɔnam mo so bɛkasa.
for it is not you who will speak: it will be the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
21 “Onua bɛyi onua ama sɛ wɔakum no. Saa ara na agyanom nso bɛyi wɔn mma ama. Mma bɛsɔre atia wɔn awofoɔ ama wɔakum wɔn.
Brother will betray brother to death, and father, child; and children will rise against their own parents and will put them to death.
22 Me enti, nnipa nyinaa bɛtan mo. Nanso, deɛ ɔbɛtumi agyina pintinn akɔsi awieeɛ no, wɔbɛgye no nkwa.
And you will be objects of universal hatred because you are called by my name; but he who holds out to the End--he will be saved.
23 Sɛ wɔtaa mo kuro baako mu a, monnwane nkɔ kuro foforɔ mu. Mereka nokorɛ akyerɛ mo sɛ, morenwie Israel nkuro nyinaa mu adwumayɛ ansa na Onipa Ba no aba.
Whenever they persecute you in one town, escape to the next; for I solemnly tell you that you will not have gone the round of all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
24 “Osuani nsene ne ɔkyerɛkyerɛfoɔ, na akoa nso nsene ne wura.
"The learner is never superior to his teacher, and the servant is never superior to his master.
25 Osuani sua ne ɔkyerɛkyerɛfoɔ, na akoa nso sua ne wura. Enti, sɛ me a meyɛ efie no ti no wɔfrɛ me ‘Ɔbonsam’ a, ɛdeɛn din na wɔremfa mfrɛ mo!
Enough for the learner to be on a level with his teacher, and for the servant to be on a level with his master. If they have called the master of the house Baal-zebul, how much more will they slander his servants?
26 “Monnsuro wɔn a wɔbɛhunahuna mo. Mmerɛ bi bɛba a nokorɛ no bɛda adi. Deɛ wɔyɛ no kɔkoam no nyinaa bɛda adi.
Fear them not, however; there is nothing veiled which will not be uncovered, nor secret which will not become known.
27 Deɛ mereka makyerɛ mo wɔ esum mu yi, monka wɔ hann mu. Deɛ mereka agu mo asom yi, mompae mu nka wɔ adan atifi.
What I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what is whispered into your ear, proclaim upon the roofs of the houses.
28 Monnsuro wɔn a wɔbɛtumi akum mo onipadua nanso wɔrentumi nkum mo kra no. Onyankopɔn a ɔbɛtumi akum onipadua no ne ɔkra wɔ amanehunu kurom no nko ara na monsuro no. (Geenna )
"And do not fear those who kill the body, but cannot kill the soul; but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna. (Geenna )
29 Wɔtɔn akasanoma gye ahe? Mmienu boɔ nyɛ sika bi pɛ? Nanso akasanoma biara nni hɔ a ɔbɛwu a mo Agya no nnim ho biribi.
Do not two sparrows sell for a halfpenny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father's leave.
30 Mo tirinwi mpo, wɔakan ne nyinaa.
But as for you, the very hairs on your heads are all numbered.
31 Enti, monnsuro! Mosom bo ma Onyankopɔn sene nkasanoma.
Away then with fear; you are more precious than a multitude of sparrows.
32 “Obiara a ɔbɛka sɛ ɔnim me nnipa anim no, me nso mɛka sɛ menim no mʼagya a ɔwɔ ɔsoro no anim.
"Every man who acknowledges me before men I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in Heaven.
33 Nanso, obiara a ɔbɛka sɛ ɔnnim me nnipa anim no, me nso mɛka sɛ mennim no wɔ mʼagya a ɔwɔ ɔsoro no anim.
But whoever disowns me before men I also will disown before my Father who is in Heaven.
34 “Monnsusu sɛ mede asomdwoeɛ na ɛbaa asase yi so! Ɛnyɛ asomdwoeɛ na mmom akofena na mede baeɛ.
"Do not suppose that I came to bring peace to the earth: I did not come to bring peace but a sword.
35 Maba sɛ mɛma “‘ɔbabarima asɔre atia nʼagya, na ɔbabaa asɔre atia ne maame, na ɔbaa warefoɔ nso asɔre atia nʼasebaa.
For I came to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law;
36 Obiara ɔtamfoɔ a ne ho yɛ hu no bɛfiri nʼankasa ne fie.’
and a man's own family will be his foes.
37 “Deɛ ɔdɔ nʼagya anaa ne maame kyɛn me no rentumi nyɛ me deɛ. Saa ara na deɛ ɔdɔ ne babarima anaa ne babaa kyɛn me no rentumi nyɛ me deɛ ara no no.
Any one who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and any one who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me;
38 Sɛ obi amfa nʼasɛnnua na wammɛdi mʼakyi a, ɔrentumi nyɛ me deɛ.
and any one who does not take up his cross and follow where I lead is not worthy of me.
39 Sɛ woma wo ɔkra som wo bo a, wobɛhwere wo ɔkra no, nanso sɛ me enti wohwere wo ɔkra a, wo nsa bɛka.
To save your life is to lose it, and to lose your life for my sake is to save it.
40 “Obiara a ɔgye mo no gye me, na deɛ ɔgye me no nso gye Onyankopɔn a ɔsomaa me no.
"Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives Him who sent me.
41 Sɛ wogye odiyifoɔ bi sɛ ɔyɛ Onyankopɔn onipa enti a, wɔbɛtua wo so ka sɛ odiyifoɔ no ara pɛ. Na sɛ wogye nnipa tenenee a, wobɛnya akatua sɛ onipa tenenee.
Every one who receives a prophet, because he is a prophet, will receive a prophet's reward, and every one who receives a righteous man, because he is a righteous man, will receive a righteous man's reward.
42 Na obiara a ɔbɛma mʼakyidifoɔ yi mu akumaa bi nsuo anom no, onii no akatua remmɔ no da.”
And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water to drink because he is a disciple, I solemnly tell you that he will not lose his reward."
