< Marko 9 >

1 Yesu kɔɔ so ka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafoɔ no sɛ, “Mo a mogyina ha yi mu bi bɛtena ase akɔsi sɛ mobɛhunu sɛ, Onyankopɔn Ahennie no reba tumi mu!”
And he said to them, Verily I say unto you, There are some of those standing here that shall not taste death until they shall have seen the kingdom of God come in power.
2 Nnansia akyi, Yesu faa Petro, Yakobo ne Yohane de wɔn kɔɔ bepɔ tentene bi atifi. Saa ɛberɛ no, na obiara nni hɔ ka wɔn ho. Amonom hɔ ara, Yesu sakyerae animuonyam mu.
And after six days Jesus takes with [him] Peter and James and John, and takes them up on a high mountain by themselves apart. And he was transfigured before them:
3 Nʼatadeɛ hyerɛn yɛɛ fitafita sene sɛdeɛ obi bɛtumi ahoro saa atadeɛ no ama ayɛ fitaa no.
and his garments became shining, exceeding white [as snow], such as fuller on earth could not whiten [them].
4 Afei Elia ne Mose bɛfirii hɔ. Na wɔne Yesu kasaeɛ!
And there appeared to them Elias with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus.
5 Petro ka kyerɛɛ Yesu sɛ, “Ɔkyerɛkyerɛfoɔ, ɛyɛ sɛ yɛwɔ ha. Yɛbɛbɔ asese mmiɛnsa wɔ ha, wo deɛ baako, Mose deɛ baako na Elia deɛ baako.”
And Peter answering says to Jesus, Rabbi, it is good that we should be here; and let us make three tabernacles, for thee one, and for Moses one, and for Elias one.
6 Esiane sɛ na wɔabɔ hu no enti na ɛma ɔkaa saa.
For he knew not what he should say, for they were filled with fear.
7 Na omununkum bɛkataa wɔn so. Ɛnne bi firii omununkum no mu kaa sɛ, “Yei ne me Dɔ Ba. Montie no.”
And there came a cloud overshadowing them, and there came a voice out of the cloud, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
8 Prɛko pɛ, wɔtotoo wɔn ani no, wɔanhunu obiara ka Yesu ho.
And suddenly having looked around, they no longer saw any one, but Jesus alone with themselves.
9 Wɔresiane afiri bepɔ no so no, Yesu bɔɔ wɔn ano sɛ wɔnnka deɛ wɔahunu no nkyerɛ obiara kɔsi sɛ Onipa Ba no bɛsɔre afiri awufoɔ mu.
And as they descended from the mountain, he charged them that they should relate to no one what they had seen, unless when the Son of man should be risen from among [the] dead.
10 Asuafoɔ no anka ankyerɛ obiara, na mmom, ɛyɛ a, na wɔtaa bisabisa wɔn ho wɔn ho sɛ, nʼasɛm a ɔkaa sɛ, “Mɛnyane afiri awufoɔ mu” no, na ɔkyerɛ sɛn?
And they kept that saying, questioning among themselves, what rising from among [the] dead was.
11 Afei, nʼasuafoɔ no bisaa no deɛ enti a daa mmara no akyerɛkyerɛfoɔ no ka sɛ, ɛsɛ sɛ Elia sane ba ansa na Onipa Ba no aba no.
And they asked him saying, Why do the scribes say that Elias must first have come?
12 Yesu gye too mu sɛ, ɛsɛ sɛ Elia di ɛkan ba bɛtoto nneɛma nyinaa yie. Ɔkaa sɛ, “Ɛnneɛ na adɛn enti na wɔatwerɛ sɛ Onipa Ba no bɛhunu amane bebree na wɔapo no?
And he answering said to them, Elias indeed, having first come, restores all things; and how is it written of the Son of man that he must suffer much, and be set at nought:
13 Nanso me se mo sɛ, Elia aba dada! Na wɔne no anni no yie sɛdeɛ adiyifoɔ no hyɛɛ ho nkɔm no.”
but I say unto you that Elias also is come, and they have done to him whatever they would, as it is written of him.
14 Ɛberɛ a wɔsiane bɛduruu bepɔ no ase hɔ no, wɔhunuu sɛ nnipakuo atwa asuafoɔ a wɔaka no ho ahyia, na wɔne mmara no akyerɛkyerɛfoɔ no regye wɔn ho wɔn ho akyinnyeɛ.
And when he came to the disciples he saw a great crowd around them, and scribes disputing against them.
15 Ɛberɛ a nnipakuo no hunuu Yesu no wɔn ho dwirii wɔn, na wɔde mmirika, bɛhyiaa no.
And immediately all the crowd seeing him were amazed, and running to [him], saluted him.
16 Yesu bisaa wɔn sɛ, “Akyinnyeɛ a na moregye no fa ɛdeɛn ho?”
And he asked them, What do ye question with them about?
17 Nnipa no mu baako kaa sɛ, “Ɔkyerɛkyerɛfoɔ, mede me ba aba ha sɛ sa no yadeɛ. Honhommɔne bi a ɛwɔ ne so enti, ɔntumi nkasa.
And one out of the crowd answered him, Teacher, I brought to thee my son, who has a dumb spirit;
18 Sɛ honhommɔne no ka ne ho wɔ ne mu a, ɛtwa no hwe fam, ma nʼano twa ahuro, ma ɔtwɛre ne se, ma ɔsensene. Ɛno enti, mesrɛɛ wʼasuafoɔ no sɛ wɔntu honhommɔne no mfiri ne mu, nanso wɔantumi.”
and wheresoever it seizes him it tears him, and he foams and gnashes his teeth, and he is withering away. And I spoke to thy disciples, that they might cast him out, and they could not.
19 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafoɔ no sɛ, “O, mo a mo gyidie sua, me ne mo ntena nkɔsi da bɛn ansa na mo gyidie atim? Momfa abarimaa no mmrɛ me.”
But he answering them says, O unbelieving generation! how long shall I be with you? how long shall I bear with you? bring him to me.
20 Wɔde abarimaa no brɛɛ Yesu. Ɛberɛ a wɔde no duruu Yesu anim pɛ no, yadeɛ no baa dendeenden, twaa no hwee fam, ma ɔperee ara a nʼano retwa ahuro.
And they brought him to him. And seeing him the spirit immediately tore him; and falling upon the earth he rolled foaming.
21 Yesu bisaa abarimaa no agya sɛ, “Nna ahe ni a yadeɛ yi baa ne so?” Abarimaa no agya buaa Yesu sɛ, “Ɛfiri ne mmɔfraase pɛɛ;
And he asked his father, How long a time is it that it has been like this with him? And he said, From childhood;
22 na ɛtɔ ɛda bi koraa a, yadeɛ no tumi twa no hwe ogya anaa nsuo mu, pɛ sɛ ɛkum no. Enti, sɛ wobɛtumi asa no yadeɛ deɛ a, hunu yɛn mmɔbɔ, na sa no yadeɛ ma yɛn.”
and often it has cast him both into fire and into waters that it might destroy him: but if thou couldst [do] anything, be moved with pity on us, and help us.
23 Yesu bisaa no sɛ, “Adɛn enti na woka sɛ, sɛ mɛtumi a? Nneɛma nyinaa bɛtumi ayɛ hɔ ama obiara a ɔgye die.”
And Jesus said to him, The 'if thou couldst' is [if thou couldst] believe: all things are possible to him that believes.
24 Abarimaa no agya buaa sɛ, “Mewɔ gyidie nanso ɛsua, enti boa me, na hyɛ me gyidie mu den!”
And immediately the father of the young child crying out said [with tears], I believe, help mine unbelief.
25 Yesu hunuu sɛ nnipa no dɔ ara na wɔredɔɔso no, ɔteaa honhommɔne no sɛ, “Honhommɔne sotifoɔ ne mumu, mehyɛ wo sɛ, firi abɔfra yi mu fi. Nkɔhyɛ ne mu bio!”
But Jesus, seeing that [the] crowd was running up together, rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I command thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
26 Afei, yadeɛ no baa dendeenden ansa na ɛrefiri ne mu, enti ɛmaa abarimaa no yɛɛ sɛ owufoɔ. Enti, nnipakuo no kasaa huhuhuhu sɛ, “Wawu.”
And having cried out and torn [him] much, he came out; and he became as if dead, so that the most said, He is dead.
27 Nanso, Yesu sɔɔ ne nsa, pagyaa no ma ɔgyinaa ne nan so a ne ho atɔ no.
But Jesus, having taken hold of him by the hand, lifted him up, and he arose.
28 Yei akyi a Yesu ne nʼasuafoɔ no nko ara wɔ efie no, wɔbisaa no sɛ, “Adɛn enti na yɛn deɛ yɛantumi antu saa honhommɔne no?”
And when he was entered into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Wherefore could not we cast him out?
29 Yesu buaa wɔn sɛ, “Mpaeɛbɔ nko ara na ɛbɛtumi atu saa yadeɛ yi.”
And he said to them, This kind can go out by nothing but by prayer and fasting.
30 Yesu firii hɔ no, ɔfaa Galilea, ɛfiri sɛ, na ɔmpɛ sɛ nnipa te ne nka.
And going forth from thence they went through Galilee; and he would not that any one knew it;
31 Na ɔpɛ sɛ ɔnya berɛ ma nʼasuafoɔ no de kyerɛkyerɛ wɔn. Ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Wɔbɛyi Onipa Ba no ama, na wɔakum no, na ne nnansa so, ɔbɛsɔre aba nkwa mu bio.”
for he taught his disciples and said to them, The Son of man is delivered into men's hands, and they shall kill him; and having been killed, after three days he shall rise again.
32 Asuafoɔ no ante asɛm a ɔkaeɛ yi ase, nanso na wɔsuro sɛ wɔbɛbisa no aseɛ.
But they understood not the saying, and feared to ask him.
33 Yesu ne nʼasuafoɔ no baa Kapernaum. Ɛberɛ a wɔduruu efie a wɔbɛtena mu no mu na wɔregye wɔn ahome no, Yesu bisaa nʼasuafoɔ no sɛ, “Yɛreba no, ɛdeɛn akyinnyeɛ na na moregye wɔ ɛkwan so no?”
And he came to Capernaum, and being in the house, he asked them, Of what were ye reasoning by the way?
34 Asuafoɔ no antumi ammua ɛfiri sɛ, na wɔredwennwene deɛ ɔbɛyɛ wɔn mu kɛseɛ no ho.
And they remained silent, for by the way they had been reasoning with one another who [was] greatest.
35 Ɔtenaa ase, frɛɛ wɔn baa ne nkyɛn, ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Obiara a ɔpɛ sɛ ɔyɛ ɔpanin wɔ mo mu no, ɛsɛ sɛ ɔyɛ abɔfra anaa ɔsomfoɔ wɔ mo mu!”
And sitting down he called the twelve; and he says to them, If any one would be first, he shall be last of all, and minister of all.
36 Afei, ɔde abɔfra ketewa bi bɛgyinaa wɔn mfimfini. Ɔde abɔfra no kyerɛɛ wɔn kaa sɛ,
And taking a little child he set it in their midst, and having taken it in his arms he said to them,
37 “Mo mu biara a me enti ɔbɛgye abɔfra ketewa sɛ yei no, agye me, na deɛ ɔbɛgye me no nso agye mʼAgya a ɔsomaa me no!”
Whosoever shall receive one of such little children in my name, receives me; and whosoever shall receive me, does not receive me, but him who sent me.
38 Yohane a ɔyɛ asuafoɔ no mu baako no ka kyerɛɛ Yesu sɛ, “Ɔkyerɛkyerɛfoɔ, yɛhunuu ɔbarima bi a ɔde wo din retu ahonhommɔne enti yɛka kyerɛɛ no sɛ ɔnnyae, ɛfiri sɛ, ɔnka yɛn ho.”
And John answered him saying, Teacher, we saw some one casting out demons in thy name, who does not follow us, and we forbad him, because he does not follow us.
39 Yesu kaa sɛ, “Monnsi no ɛkwan. Ɛfiri sɛ, obiara nni hɔ a ɔreyɛ anwanwadeɛ wɔ me din mu na ɔbɛtwa ne ho atia me,
But Jesus said, Forbid him not; for there is no one who shall do a miracle in my name, and be able soon [after] to speak ill of me;
40 na obiara a ɔntia yɛn no wɔ yɛn afa.
for he who is not against us is for us.
41 Obiara a ɛsiane sɛ, moyɛ Kristo dea no enti, ɔbɛma mo nsuo kuruwa ma anom no, nʼakatua remmɔ no da.
For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in [my] name, because ye are Christ's, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
42 “Enti, sɛ obi to mmɔfra nketewa a wɔgye me di yi mu bi suntidua a, ɛyɛ ma no sɛ anka wɔde ɛboɔ duruduru bɛsɛn ne kɔn mu, ato no atwene ɛpo mu.
And whosoever shall be a snare to one of the little ones who believe [in me], it were better for him if a millstone were hung about his neck, and he cast into the sea.
43 Sɛ wo nsa ma woyɛ bɔne a, twa na to twene. Ɛyɛ ma wo sɛ wode dɛm bɛkɔ nkwa mu sene sɛ, wode wo onipadua nyinaa bɛto amanehunu ogya (Geenna g1067)
And if thy hand serve as a snare to thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having thy two hands to go away into hell, into the fire unquenchable; (Geenna g1067)
44 a ɛnnum da no mu.
[where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched].
45 Na sɛ wo nan ma woyɛ bɔne a, twa na to twene. Ɛyɛ ma wo sɛ wode nansin bɛkɔ nkwa mu sene sɛ, wode nan mmienu bɛkɔ amanehunu ogya (Geenna g1067)
And if thy foot serve as a snare to thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life lame, than having thy two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire unquenchable; (Geenna g1067)
46 a ɛnnum da no mu.”
[where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched].
47 Na sɛ wʼani ma woyɛ bɔne a, tu na to twene. Ɛyɛ ma wo sɛ wode ani baako bɛkɔ Onyankopɔn Ahennie mu sene sɛ wowɔ ani mmienu na wɔde wo bɛto amanehunu ogya mu, (Geenna g1067)
And if thine eye serve as a snare to thee, cast it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the hell of fire, (Geenna g1067)
48 baabi a “‘ogya no ɛnnum da, na ɛhɔ asonsono nso nwu da.’
where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched.
49 Na wɔde ogya bɛhyɛ wɔn nyinaa nkyene.
For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.
50 “Nkyene yɛ dɛ, nanso sɛ nkyene yera ne dɛ a, ɛho nni mfasoɔ; wonte ne dɛ wɔ biribiara mu. Enti, monnyera mo dɛ! Mo ne mo ho mo ho ntena asomdwoeɛ mu.”
Salt [is] good, but if the salt is become saltless, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.
