< Marko 2 >
1 Nna bi akyi no, Yesu kɔɔ Kapernaum bio. Ɔduruu hɔ no nnipa pii tee sɛ waba hɔ.
And again he entered Capernaum, after some days; and they heard that he was in the house.
2 Ankyɛre na nnipa bebree bɛhyɛɛ efie a na ɔwɔ mu no mu ma tɔ. Ɔkaa asɛmpa no kyerɛɛ wɔn.
And immediately many came together, so that the house could contain them no longer, nor could the space about the door. And he preached the word to them.
3 Mmarima baanan bi de obubuafoɔ bi a wɔso no baa hɔ.
And they came to him, bringing a paralytic, who was carried by four men.
4 Esiane sɛ na wɔntumi mfa nnipadɔm no mu nkɔ Yesu nkyɛn no enti, wɔforoo ɛdan a Yesu wɔ mu no, kɔtuu tokuro wɔ atifi. Wɔde obubuafoɔ a ɔda ne kɛtɛ so no faa mu, gyaagyaa no brɛoo de no kɔtoo Yesu anim.
And not being able to come near him, on account of the multitude, they took off the roof where he was, and having broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay.
5 Yesu hunuu wɔn gyidie a wɔwɔ wɔ ne mu no, ɔka kyerɛɛ ɔyarefoɔ no sɛ, “Ɔba, wɔde wo bɔne akyɛ wo!”
And Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic: Son, your sins are forgiven you.
6 Nanso Atwerɛsɛm no akyerɛkyerɛfoɔ a wɔwɔ hɔ no tee deɛ Yesu kaeɛ no, wɔdwenee wɔ wɔn tirim
But some of the scribes were sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts:
7 sɛ, “Asɛm bɛn na ɔreka yi! Abususɛm na ɔreka yi! Ɔdwene sɛ ɔyɛ Onyankopɔn? Onyankopɔn nko na ɔtumi de bɔne kyɛ.”
Why does this man thus speak impiously? Who can forgive sins but God only?
8 Yesu hunuu wɔn adwene no, ɛhɔ ara, ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Adɛn na moma asɛm a mekaeɛ yi ha mo?
And Jesus, immediately perceiving in his spirit that they thus reasoned within themselves, said to them: Why are you reasoning thus in your hearts?
9 Deɛ ɛwɔ he na ɛyɛ mmerɛ? Sɛ obi bɛka akyerɛ obubuafoɔ no sɛ, ‘Wɔde wo bɔne akyɛ wo’, anaasɛ, ‘Fa wo kɛtɛ na nante’?
Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, Your sins are forgiven; or to say, Arise, take up your bed and walk?
10 Enti mɛkyerɛ mo sɛ Onipa Ba no wɔ tumi sɛ ɔde bɔne kyɛ.” Enti ɔka kyerɛɛ obubuafoɔ no sɛ,
But that you may know that the Son of man on earth has authority to forgive sins, (he said to the paralytic, )
11 “Mese wo sɛ, sɔre gyina hɔ. Fa wo kɛtɛ, na kɔ wo efie na wo ho atɔ wo.”
I say to you, Arise, take up your bed and go to your house.
12 Obubuafoɔ yi sɔre bobɔɔ ne kɛtɛ, na ɔde anigyeɛ ne ahosɛpɛ faa nnipadɔm no mu kɔeɛ. Nnipa no ho dwirii wɔn, ma wɔkamfoo Onyankopɔn sɛ, “Yɛnhunuu yei bi da!”
And he arose forthwith, and took up his bed, and went out before them all; so that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying: We have never seen it thus.
13 Yesu sane kɔɔ mpoano hɔ bio, na ɔkaa asɛmpa no kyerɛɛ nnipakuo a wɔahyia wɔ hɔ no.
And he went out again by the sea: and all the multitude came to him, and he taught them.
14 Ɛberɛ a ɔnam mpoano hɔ no, ɔhunuu Alfeo ba Lewi sɛ ɔte atogyeɛ. Ɔhunuu no no ɔka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Di mʼakyi.” Ɛhɔ ara, Lewi sɔre dii nʼakyi.
And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphæus sitting at the custom-house; and he said to him: Follow me. And he arose and followed him.
15 Saa ɛda no anadwofa, Lewi too ɛpono, too nsa frɛɛ nʼafɛfoɔ ɔtogyefoɔ ne nnebɔneyɛfoɔ bi sɛ wɔmmra na ɔne wɔn ne Yesu ne nʼasuafoɔ no nto nsa nnidi. Nnipa a wɔdii Yesu akyi no bi te sɛ Lewi ara pɛ.
And it came to pass, as Jesus reclined at table in his house, that many publicans and sinners reclined with him and his disciples; for there were many, and they followed him.
16 Farisifoɔ no hunuu sɛ ɔne nnebɔneyɛfoɔ ne ɔtogyefoɔ ato nsa redidi no, wɔbisaa nʼasuafoɔ no sɛ, “Adɛn enti na ɔne ɔtogyefoɔ ne nnebɔneyɛfoɔ to nsa didi?”
And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eating with publicans and sinners, they said to his disciples: Why is it that he eats and drinks with publicans and sinners?
17 Yesu tee deɛ wɔkaeɛ no, ɔbuaa wɔn sɛ, “Wɔn a wɔwɔ ahoɔden no, ɔyaresafoɔ ho nhia wɔn, na wɔn a wɔyare no na ɔyaresafoɔ ho hia wɔn. Mamma sɛ merebɛka akyerɛ teneneefoɔ sɛ wɔnsakyera wɔn adwene na mmom, nnebɔneyɛfoɔ.”
And when Jesus heard it, he said to them: Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call righteous men, but sinners.
18 Ɛda bi a Yohane Osubɔni akyidifoɔ ne Farisifoɔ no redi mmuada no, nnipa bi kɔɔ Yesu nkyɛn kɔbisaa no sɛ, “Adɛn enti na Yohane ne Farisifoɔ no akyidifoɔ di mmuada na wʼakyidifoɔ deɛ, wɔnni mmuada?”
And the disciples of John and of the Pharisees were in the habit of fasting; and they came, and said to him: Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples fast not?
19 Yesu nso bisaa wɔn sɛ, “Moahunu ayeforɔkunu nnamfo a wɔbɛba ayeforɔ ase a wɔbɛka sɛ, wɔredi mmuada enti wɔrennidi anaa? Mmerɛ dodoɔ a wɔne ayeforɔkunu no nam no deɛ, wɔrenni mmuada da.
And Jesus said to them: Can the sons of the bride-chamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they can not fast.
20 Nanso, ɛda bi bɛba a, wɔbɛfa ayeforɔkunu no afiri wɔn nkyɛn. Saa ɛberɛ no na wɔbɛdi mmuada.
But the days will come when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then they will fast in those days.
21 “Ɛte sɛ wode ntoma foforɔ atare ntoma dada mu. Ɛdeɛn na ɛba? Ntaremu no bɛte ntoma dada no mu, na ayi afiri mu, na ama tokuro a ɛda hɔ no aso asene kane deɛ no.
No one sews a patch of new cloth on an old garment; if so, the new piece which fills it up, takes from the old, and a worse rent is made.
22 Monim sɛ, wɔmfa nsã foforɔ ngu aboa nwoma nkotokuo dada mu. Anyɛ saa a, ɛbɛpae. Nsa no bɛhwie agu, na nkotokuo a nsã no wɔ mu no nso bɛpaapae. Ɛsɛ sɛ wɔde nsã foforɔ gu nkotokuo foforɔ mu.”
And no one puts new wine into old bottles; if so, the new wine bursts the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles are destroyed. But new wine must be put into new bottles.
23 Homeda bi a Yesu ne nʼasuafoɔ nam aburoofuo bi mu no, asuafoɔ no pempan aburoo no bi weeɛ.
And it came to pass, that he was going on the sabbath-day through the fields of grain: and his disciples began, as they went, to pull the ears of grain.
24 Farisifoɔ no bi ka kyerɛɛ Yesu sɛ, “Ɛnni ho kwan sɛ wɔyɛ saa! Yɛn mmara mma ho ɛkwan sɛ wɔbu aburoo Homeda.”
And the Pharisees said to him: See, why are they doing on the sabbath-day what is not lawful?
25 Yesu nso bisaa wɔn sɛ, “Monkenkanee deɛ Ɔhene Dawid yɛeɛ, ɛberɛ a ɛkɔm dee ɔne wɔn a na wɔka ne ho no,
And he said to them: Did you never read what David did, when he had need and was hungry, he and those who were with him?
26 ne sɛdeɛ ɔkɔɔ Onyankopɔn efie, Ɔsɔfopanin Abiatar berɛ so, na ɔne wɔn a wɔka ne ho kɔdii burodo a wɔde abɔ afɔdeɛ ama Onyankopɔn no, a obiara nni ho ɛkwan sɛ ɔdi, agye asɔfoɔ nko ara no pɛn? Na ɛno nso tia mmara.
How he entered the house of God in the days of Abiathar the chief priest, and ate the loaves of the presence, which, it is not lawful, except for the priests, to eat, and gave to those also who were with him?
27 “Onipa enti na wɔyɛɛ Homeda, na ɛnyɛ Homeda enti na wɔbɔɔ onipa.
And he said to them: The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath.
28 Na me, Onipa Ba no mpo, meyɛ Homeda no nso wura!”
Therefore, the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
