< Marko 14 >

1 Aka nnanu na Twam Afahyɛ ne Apiti Afahyɛ a ɛyɛ Yudafoɔ ahomegyeɛ nna no aduru no, asɔfoɔ mpanin ne Atwerɛsɛm no akyerɛkyerɛfoɔ no hwehwɛɛ nyansakwan a wɔbɛfa so akye Yesu, akum no.
It was now two days before the feast of the Passover and the unleavened bread, and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might seize him by deception, and kill him.
2 Nanso, wɔkaa sɛ, “Yɛrenkyere no afahyɛ no mu, anyɛ saa a ɛde basabasa bɛba ɔman no mu.”
For they said, "Not during the feast, because there might be a riot of the people."
3 Yesu wɔ Betania na ɔne Simon kwatani redidi no, ɔbaa bi a ɔkura ngo hwamhwam bi a ne bo yɛ den baa hɔ. Ɔtuu ano, hwie guu Yesu tirim.
While he was at Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, as he was reclining, a woman came having an alabaster jar of ointment of pure nard—very costly. She broke the jar, and poured it over his head.
4 Deɛ ɔbaa yi yɛeɛ no anyɛ nnipa a wɔte adidiiɛ no mu bi dɛ. Na wɔkaa sɛ, “Wasɛe ngo no kwa.
But there were some who were indignant among themselves, and saying, "Why has this ointment been wasted?
5 Anka ɔbɛtumi atɔn ngo hwamhwam yi anya sika pii na ɔde ama ahiafoɔ.”
For this ointment might have been sold for more than three hundred denarii, and given to the poor." They grumbled against her.
6 Nanso, Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Monnyaa no! Adɛn enti na moreha no wɔ ade pa a ɔyɛeɛ no ho?
But Jesus said, "Leave her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a good work for me.
7 Mo ne ahiafoɔ a mobɛtumi aboa wɔn ɛberɛ biara mu na ɛte. Na me deɛ, merenkyɛ wɔ mo nkyɛn.
For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you want to, you can do them good; but you will not always have me.
8 Wayɛ deɛ ɔbɛtumi. Wadi ɛkan asra me onipadua ama ɛda a wobɛsie me.
She has done what she could. She has anointed my body beforehand for the burying.
9 Mereka makyerɛ mo sɛ, baabiara a wɔbɛka Asɛmpa no wɔ ewiase no, wɔde deɛ ɔbaa yi yɛeɛ no bɛkae no, akamfo no.”
Truly I tell you, wherever this Good News may be preached throughout the whole world, that which this woman has done will also be spoken of for a memorial of her."
10 Afei, Yuda Iskariot, asuafoɔ dumienu no mu baako, kɔɔ asɔfoɔ mpanin no nkyɛn ne wɔn kɔhyehyɛɛ sɛdeɛ ɔbɛyi Yesu ama wɔn no ho.
Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve, went away to the chief priests, that he might deliver him to them.
11 Asɔfoɔ mpanin no tee asɛm no, ɛyɛɛ wɔn anigye ma wɔhyɛɛ no bɔ. Ɛfiri saa ɛberɛ no, ɔhwehwɛɛ sɛdeɛ ɔbɛnya Yesu ho ɛkwan, ayi no ama ɛberɛ a ɛsɛ mu.
They, when they heard it, were glad, and promised to give him money. He sought how he might conveniently deliver him.
12 Apiti Afahyɛ no ɛda a ɛdi ɛkan a wɔkum Twam Afahyɛ odwan no, nʼasuafoɔ bisaa no faako a wɔbɛkɔ akɔdi Twam Afahyɛ no.
On the first day of unleavened bread, when they sacrificed the Passover lamb, his disciples asked him, "Where do you want us to go and make ready that you may eat the Passover?"
13 Ɔsomaa nʼasuafoɔ no mu baanu kɔɔ Yerusalem sɛ wɔnkɔsiesie baabi mma no. Deɛ ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn ne sɛ, “Morekɔ kuro no mu a, mobɛhyia onipa bi a ɔso ahina. Monni nʼakyi.
He sent two of his disciples, and said to them, "Go into the city, and there you will meet a man carrying a pitcher of water. Follow him,
14 Baabiara a ɔbɛwura no, monka nkyerɛ efiewura no sɛ, ‘Yɛn wura asoma yɛn sɛ, yɛmmɛhwɛ ɛdan a wɔasiesie ama yɛn a yɛbɛdi Twam Afahyɛ no wɔ mu no.’
and wherever he enters in, tell the master of the house, 'The Teacher says, "Where is my guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?"'
15 Ɔbɛkyerɛ mo abansoro asa kɛseɛ bi a wɔasiesie mu. Ɛhɔ na monyɛ ahoboa mma yɛn.”
He will himself show you a large upper room furnished and ready. Make ready for us there."
16 Asuafoɔ baanu no siim kɔɔ kuro no mu, na wɔhunuu biribiara sɛdeɛ Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn no pɛpɛɛpɛ, na wɔsiesiee Twam Afahyɛ no wɔ hɔ.
The disciples went out, and came into the city, and found things as he had said to them, and they prepared the Passover.
17 Ɛduruu anwummerɛ no, Yesu ne dumienu no baeɛ.
When it was evening he came with the twelve.
18 Na wɔte hɔ redidi no, Yesu kaa sɛ, “Merema mo ate aseɛ sɛ, mo a me ne mo reto nsa adidi yi mu baako bɛyi me ama.”
And as they were reclining and eating, Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me—he who eats with me."
19 Wɔn nyinaa werɛ hoeɛ, na wɔhyɛɛ aseɛ bisaa mmaako mmaako sɛ, “Ɛyɛ me anaa?”
And they began to be sorrowful, and to say to him one by one, "Surely not I?" And another said, "Surely not I?"
20 Ɔbuaa wɔn sɛ, “Ɛyɛ mo dumienu a mo ne me reto nsa adidi yi mu baako.
He said to them, "It is one of the twelve, he who dips with me in the dish.
21 Onipa Ba no wu sɛdeɛ odiyifoɔ no hyɛɛ ne ho nkɔm no; nanso onipa a ɔbɛyi Onipa Ba no ama no, nnue! Sɛ wanwo saa onipa no a, anka ɛyɛ.”
For the Son of Man goes, even as it is written about him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed. It would be better for that man if he had not been born."
22 Ɛberɛ a wɔredidi no, Yesu faa abodoo, na ɔhyiraa so bubuiɛ, na ɔde maa wɔn kaa sɛ, “Monnye nni; yei ne me onipadua.”
As they were eating, he took bread, and when he had blessed, he broke it, and gave to them, and said, "Take; this is my body."
23 Afei, ɔfaa kuruwa a nsã wɔ mu, na ɔdaa ase no, ɔde maa wɔn, na wɔn nyinaa nom bi.
He took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave to them. They all drank of it.
24 Na ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Yei ne me mogya a ɛyɛ apam no mogya a ɛhyɛ Apam Foforɔ no mu den a bebree enti wɔrehwie agu.
He said to them, "This is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many.
25 Mereka akyerɛ mo sɛ, merennom saa nsã yi bio da akɔsi ɛda a me ne mo bɛnom bi bio wɔ Onyankopɔn Ahennie no mu.”
Truly I tell you, I will no more drink of the fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it anew in the kingdom of God."
26 Wɔtoo dwom bi wieeɛ no, wofirii hɔ kɔɔ Ngo Bepɔ no so.
When they had sung the hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
27 Wɔduruu deɛ wɔrekɔ no, Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Mo nyinaa bɛdwane agya me. Ɛfiri sɛ, Onyankopɔn nam adiyifoɔ no so kaa sɛ, “‘Mɛbɔ odwanhwɛfoɔ no, na nnwan no abɔ apete.’
Jesus said to them, "All of you will fall away, for it is written, 'I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.'
28 Na sɛ mewusɔre a, mɛdi mo anim akɔ Galilea akɔhyia mo wɔ hɔ.”
However, after I am raised up, I will go before you into Galilee."
29 Petro ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Sɛ nnipa nyinaa bɛdwane agya wo a, me deɛ, merennwane nnya wo da!”
But Peter said to him, "Although all will be offended, yet I will not."
30 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Petro, ansa na anadwo yi akokɔ bɛbɔn mprenu no, na woapa me mprɛnsa.”
Jesus said to him, "Truly I tell you, that today, even this night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times."
31 Petro de anibereɛ kaa sɛ, “Merempa wo da! Sɛ ɛsɛ sɛ me ne wo wu mpo a, merempa wo da!” Saa ara na wɔn a aka no nyinaa nso kaeɛ.
But he insisted, "If I must die with you, I will not deny you." They all said the same thing.
32 Yesu ne nʼasuafoɔ no duruu baabi a wɔfrɛ hɔ Getsemane no, ɔka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafoɔ no sɛ, “Montena ha, na merekɔbɔ mpaeɛ aba.”
They came to a place which was named Gethsemane. He said to his disciples, "Sit here, while I pray."
33 Ɔfaa Petro, Yakobo ne Yohane kaa ne ho, na ne ho hyɛɛ aseɛ yeraa no, na ɔyɛɛ basaa.
He took with him Peter, James, and John, and began to be greatly troubled and distressed.
34 Ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Awerɛhoɔ ahyɛ me kra ma. Montena ha, na mo ne me nwɛn.”
He said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here, and watch."
35 Ɔkɔɔ nʼanim kakra, kɔbutuu fam, bɔɔ mpaeɛ sɛ, sɛ ɛbɛtumi a, saa ahoyera no ntwa ne ho nkɔ.
He went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass away from him.
36 Ɔkaa sɛ, “Abba, Agya! Wotumi yɛ biribiara. Ma kuruwa yi ntwa me ho nkɔ. Nanso, deɛ wopɛ na ɛnyɛ hɔ, na ɛnyɛ deɛ mepɛ.”
He said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible to you. Please remove this cup from me. However, not what I desire, but what you desire."
37 Ɔsane baeɛ no, ɔbɛhunuu asuafoɔ baasa no sɛ wɔadeda. Ɔbisaa Petro sɛ, “Simon, woada? Woantumi ne me anwɛn dɔnhwereɛ baako pɛ mpo?
He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "Simon, are you sleeping? Could you not watch one hour?
38 Monwɛn na mommɔ mpaeɛ na ɔsɔhwɛfoɔ no anni mo so. Honhom no pɛ deɛ, na honam no na ɛyɛ mmerɛ.”
Watch and pray, that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
39 Ɔsane kɔɔ bio kɔbɔɔ mpaeɛ korɔ no ara.
Again he went away, and prayed, saying the same words.
40 Ɔsane baa wɔn nkyɛn bio bɛhunuu sɛ wɔadeda, ɛfiri sɛ, na wɔabrɛbrɛ. Na wonhunu deɛ wɔnka nkyerɛ no.
Again he came and found them sleeping again, for their eyes were very heavy, and they did not know what to answer him.
41 Ɔsane baa ne mprɛnsa so no, ɔbisaa wɔn sɛ. “Mogu so adeda a morehome? Ɛberɛ a ɛsɛ sɛ mode da no atwam. Wɔrebɛyi Onipa Ba no ahyɛ nnebɔneyɛfoɔ nsa.
He came the third time, and said to them, "Sleep on now, and take your rest. It is enough. The hour has come. Look, the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
42 Monsɔre na yɛnkɔ! Monhwɛ, deɛ ɔreyi me ama no wɔ ha!”
Arise, let us be going. Look, he who betrays me is near."
43 Ɔgu so rekasa no, Yuda a ɔyɛ nʼasuafoɔ no mu baako ne dɔm a asɔfoɔ mpanin ne Yudafoɔ mpanin asoma wɔn ka ne ho a, wɔkurakura akofena ne mmaa baa hɔ.
Immediately, while he was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, came—and with him a crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders.
44 Na Yuda aka akyerɛ wɔn dada sɛ, “Deɛ mɛbam no, ayɛ no atuu no, ɔno ne deɛ morehwehwɛ no no. Monkyere no, na monsɔ ne mu yie mfa no nkɔ.”
Now he who betrayed him had given them a sign, saying, "Whomever I will kiss, that is he. Seize him, and lead him away safely."
45 Ɛno enti, wɔduruu hɔ pɛ, ɔkɔɔ Yesu nkyɛn kɔbam no kaa sɛ, “Me Wura.” Afei, ɔyɛɛ no atuu.
When he had come, immediately he came to him, and said, "Rabbi." and kissed him.
46 Ɛhɔ ara, na ɛdɔm a wɔne Yuda nam no sɔɔ Yesu mu kyeree no.
They laid hands on him, and seized him.
47 Wɔn a wɔka Yesu ho no mu baako twee ne akofena de twaa Ɔsɔfopanin no akoa bi aso ma ɛteeɛ.
But a certain one of those who stood by drew his sword, and struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.
48 Yesu bisaa wɔn sɛ, “Meyɛ owudifoɔ enti na mode akofena ne mmaa aba me so rebɛkye me anaa?
Jesus answered them, "Have you come out, as against a robber, with swords and clubs to seize me?
49 Adɛn na ɛberɛ a merekyerɛkyerɛ wɔ asɔredan mu hɔ no, moankye me? Nanso, yeinom nyinaa aba sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a nkɔm a wɔhyɛɛ wɔ me ho no bɛba mu.”
I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and you did not arrest me. But this is so that the Scriptures might be fulfilled."
50 Asuafoɔ no nyinaa dwane gyaa no.
They all left him, and fled.
51 Aberanteɛ bi a ɔde ntomasini bi asi nʼasene dii nʼakyi.
And a certain young man followed him, having a linen cloth thrown around himself, over his naked body. And they grabbed him,
52 Ɛdɔm a wɔbɛkyeree Yesu no pɛɛ sɛ wɔkyere no, nanso ɔgyaa ne ntoma no maa wɔn, de ne ho saa ara dwanee.
but he left the linen cloth, and fled naked.
53 Wɔde Yesu kɔɔ Ɔsɔfopanin no anim no, ankyɛre na asɔfoɔ mpanin ne Yudafoɔ mpanin bi bɛhyiaa hɔ.
They led Jesus away to the high priest. All the chief priests, the elders, and the scribes came together.
54 Ɛberɛ a wɔde Yesu rekɔ no, Petro tee ne ho dii wɔn akyi, na ɔwiawiaa ne ho kɔhyɛɛ Ɔsɔfopanin no efie hɔ de ne ho kɔfraa asomfoɔ bi a na wɔreto ogya no mu.
Peter had followed him from a distance, until he came into the court of the high priest. He was sitting with the officers, and warming himself in the light of the fire.
55 Asɔfoɔ mpanin ne badwafoɔ no nyinaa hwehwɛɛ sɛ wɔbɛnya asɛm bi atia Yesu, na wɔagyina so abu no kumfɔ. Nanso, wɔannya bi.
Now the chief priests and the whole council sought witnesses against Jesus to put him to death, and found none.
56 Nnipa pii bɛdii adansekurumu tiaa Yesu, nanso wɔn nsɛm a wɔkaeɛ no bɔɔ abira.
For many gave false testimony against him, and their testimony did not agree with each other.
57 Afei, nnipa no bi kekaa nsɛm a ɛnnim too ne so sɛ,
Some stood up, and gave false testimony against him, saying,
58 “Yɛtee sɛ ɔkaa sɛ, ‘Mɛbubu asɔredan a wɔde nsa na ɛsii no, na mede nnansa asi foforɔ a wɔamfa nsa ansi!’”
"We heard him say, 'I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and in three days I will build another made without hands.'"
59 Na yei mpo, wɔn adanseɛ no anhyia.
Even so, their testimony did not agree.
60 Ɔsɔfopanin no sɔre gyinaa badwa no mfimfini bisaa Yesu sɛ, “Yei nso, wonni ho anoyie biara? Ɛdeɛn na wowɔ ka?”
The high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, "Have you no answer? What is it which these testify against you?"
61 Yesu ammua no. Afei, Ɔsɔfopanin no bisaa no bio sɛ, “Wone Agyenkwa no, Onyankopɔn Ba no anaa?”
But he stayed quiet, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, "Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?"
62 Yesu buaa no sɛ, “Mene no, na mobɛhunu Onipa Ba no sɛ ɔte Onyankopɔn nifa, na ɔnam omununkum mu resane aba asase so.”
And Jesus said, "I am, and you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of the sky."
63 Yei maa Ɔsɔfopanin no sunsuanee nʼatadeɛ mu kaa sɛ, “Adansefoɔ bɛn na wɔn ho hia yɛn bio?
The high priest tore his clothes, and said, "What further need have we of witnesses?
64 Mo nyinaa ate abususɛm a ɔkaeɛ no. Ɛdeɛn na mowɔ ka?” Wɔn nyinaa gye too mu sɛ, ɔsɛ owuo.
You have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?" They all condemned him to be worthy of death.
65 Na ebinom tee ntasuo guu ne so, na wɔkyekyeree nʼani, na wɔbobɔɔ no akuturuku bisaa no sɛ “Wose woyɛ odiyifoɔ, kyerɛ yɛn onipa ko a ɔbɔɔ wo!” Na asomfoɔ a wɔde no rekɔ no bobɔɔ no asotorɔ.
Some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to beat him with fists, and to tell him, "Prophesy." And the officers took him and beat him.
66 Ɛberɛ a na Petro te adihɔ hɔ no, Ɔsɔfopanin no mmaawa no mu baako baa hɔ;
Now as Peter was in the courtyard below, one of the servant girls of the high priest came,
67 na ɔhunuu Petro sɛ ɔreto ogya no, ɔhwɛɛ no haa, ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Wo nso wo ne Nasareni Yesu no na ɛnam!”
and seeing Peter warming himself, she looked at him, and said, "You were also with the Nazarene, Jesus."
68 Petro saneeɛ sɛ, “Mennim deɛ woreka yi ho hwee!” Na ɛhɔ ara na ɔfirii adi kɔtenaa nkyɛn baabi. Saa ɛberɛ no ara na akokɔ bɔnee.
But he denied it, saying, "I neither know nor understand what you are saying." And he went out into the forecourt, and a rooster crowed.
69 Abaawa no sane hunuu no, na ɔhyɛɛ aseɛ ka kyerɛɛ wɔn a ɔne wɔn nam no sɛ, “Yei nso ka wɔn ho. Ɔyɛ Yesu asuafoɔ no mu baako!”
And the servant girl saw him, and began again to tell those who stood by, "This is one of them."
70 Petro saneeɛ bio. Ɛkyɛɛ kakra no, nnipa a wɔgyina ogya no ho no hyɛɛ aseɛ ka kyerɛɛ Petro sɛ, “Woka wɔn ho, ɛfiri sɛ, woyɛ Galileani!”
But he again denied it. After a little while again those who stood by said to Peter, "You truly are one of them, for you are a Galilean, and your accent shows it."
71 Petro hyɛɛ aseɛ kekaa ntam, dii nse sɛ, “Mennim saa onipa a moreka ne ho asɛm yi.”
But he began to curse, and to swear, "I do not know this man of whom you speak."
72 Na ɛhɔ ara, akokɔ bɔnee deɛ ɛtɔ so mmienu. Na Petro kaee Yesu asɛm a ɔka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Akokɔ remmɔn mprenu na woapa me mprɛnsa” no. Na ɔhyɛɛ aseɛ suiɛ.
And immediately the rooster crowed the second time. Peter remembered the word, how that Jesus said to him, "Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times." When he thought about that, he wept.
