< Marko 10 >

1 Afei, Yesu firii Galilea twa baa Yudea fam no hɔ wɔ Asubɔnten Yordan agya. Nnipakuo baa ne nkyɛn, na sɛdeɛ ɔtaa yɛ no, ɔkyerɛkyerɛɛ wɔn.
Jesus then rose from there and went to the region of Judea, traveling through the region beyond the Jordan, and crowds gathered around him again. And again he taught them, as he was accustomed to do.
2 Farisifoɔ bi baa ne nkyɛn bɛbisaa no sɛ, “Wopene awaregyaeɛ so anaa?” Wɔbisaa no yei de sɔɔ no hwɛɛ.
Then some Pharisees came up to Jesus and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”
3 Yesu nso bisaa wɔn sɛ, “Ɛdeɛn na Mose ka faa awaregyaeɛ ho?”
He answered them, “What did Moses command you?”
4 Wɔbuaa sɛ, “Mose kaa sɛ ɛyɛ sɛ wɔgyae awadeɛ. Nʼasɛm a ɔkaeɛ ne sɛ, sɛ ɔbarima bi pɛ sɛ ɔgyaa ne yere awadeɛ a, ɔntwerɛ awaregyaeɛ krataa mfa mma ne yere no.”
They said, “Moses allowed a man to write a certificate of divorce and send her away.”
5 Yesu bisaa wɔn sɛ, “Adɛn enti na ɔkaa saa? Merebɛkyerɛ mo deɛ enti a ɔkaa saa. Esiane mo akoma a apirim no enti na ɔkaa saa kyerɛɛ mo.
But Jesus answered them, “Because of your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment.
6 Ɛfiri adebɔ ahyɛaseɛ na Onyankopɔn bɔɔ ɔbarima ne ɔbaa.
But from the beginning of creation, God ‘made them male and female.’
7 Yei enti na ɔbarima bɛgya nʼagya ne ne maame,
‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife,
8 na ɔde ne ho akɔbɔ ne yere ho, na wɔn baanu no ayɛ honam korɔ.
and the two will become one flesh.’ So then, they are no longer two, but one flesh.
9 Na deɛ Onyankopɔn aka abom no, ɛnsɛ sɛ onipa tete mu.”
Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
10 Akyire no a ɔne nʼasuafoɔ no wɔ efie no, asuafoɔ no bisaa no saa asɛm korɔ no ara bio.
When they were back in the house, Jesus' disciples asked him about the same subject.
11 Ɔbuaa wɔn sɛ, “Sɛ obi gyaa ne yere awadeɛ na ɔsane ware obi foforɔ a, na wabɔ adwaman.
So he said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her.
12 Na sɛ ɔyere gyaa ne kunu awadeɛ, na ɔsane ware a, ɔno nso abɔ adwaman saa ara.”
And if a woman divorces her husband and gets married to another, she commits adultery.”
13 Ɛda bi, awofoɔ bi de mmɔfra nkumaa brɛɛ Yesu sɛ ɔnhyira wɔn, nanso nʼasuafoɔ no pampam wɔn a wɔde mmɔfra no baeɛ no, ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, wɔnnha no.
Now people were bringing children to Jesus so that he might touch them, but the disciples rebuked those who were bringing them.
14 Yesu hunuu deɛ nʼasuafoɔ no ayɛ no, anyɛ no dɛ na ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Momma mmɔfra no ɛkwan na wɔmmra me nkyɛn, na monnsi wɔn ɛkwan, na yeinom sei na Onyankopɔn Ahennie no yɛ wɔn dea.
When Jesus saw this, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the little children come to me; do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
15 Mereka akyerɛ mo sɛ, obiara a ɔrennye Onyankopɔn Ahennie no sɛ abɔfra no, ɔrentumi nhyɛne mu.”
Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will certainly not enter it.”
16 Na ɔyɛɛ wɔn atuu, de ne nsa guu wɔn so, hyiraa wɔn.
And taking the children in his arms, he laid his hands on them and blessed them.
17 Na ɔsiim sɛ ɔrekɔ baabi foforɔ no, ɔbarima bi tutuu mmirika baa ne nkyɛn bɛbuu no nkotodwe, bisaa no sɛ, “Ɔkyerɛkyerɛfoɔ pa, Ɛdeɛn na menyɛ na manya nkwa a ɛnni awieeɛ?” (aiōnios g166)
As he was setting out on the road, a man ran up, knelt before him, and asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” (aiōnios g166)
18 Yesu bisaa no sɛ, “Adɛn na wofrɛ me onipa pa? Obiara nyɛ onipa papa gye ɔbaako; ɔne Onyankopɔn.
Jesus said to him, “Why do yoʋ call me good? No one is good except God alone.
19 Ɛfa wʼasɛmmisa no ho nso, wonim mmaransɛm no: Nni awu, mmɔ adwaman, mmɔ korɔno, nni atorɔ, nsisi, di wʼagya ne wo maame ni.”
Yoʋ know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery, Do not murder, Do not steal, Do not give false testimony, Do not defraud, Honor yoʋr father and mother.’”
20 Aberanteɛ no ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Ɔkyerɛkyerɛfoɔ, yeinom nyinaa mefiri me mmɔfraase na medii so.”
The man answered him, “Teacher, I have kept all these commandments from the time I was a young boy.”
21 Yesu hwɛɛ aberanteɛ yi dinn, nyaa ɔdɔ bi maa no. Ɔka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Aka wo adeɛ baako. Kɔ na kɔtɔn biribiara a wowɔ, na fa sika no ma ahiafoɔ, na wobɛnya agyapadeɛ wɔ ɔsoro, na bra bɛdi mʼakyi.”
As Jesus looked at him, he felt love for the man and said to him, “One thing yoʋ lack: Go and sell all that yoʋ have and give to the poor, and yoʋ will have treasure in heaven. Then take up yoʋr cross and come follow me.”
22 Aberanteɛ no tee saa asɛm yi no, nʼanim sesaeɛ, na ɔde awerɛhoɔ kɔeɛ, ɛfiri sɛ, na ɔwɔ ahonyadeɛ bebree.
But the man was dejected by what Jesus said and went away sorrowful, for he had many possessions.
23 Ɔrekɔ no, Yesu hwɛɛ no na ɔdanee ne ho ka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafoɔ no sɛ, “Ɛyɛ den ma osikani sɛ ɔbɛkɔ Onyankopɔn Ahennie no mu!”
Then Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How difficult it will be for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!”
24 Asɛm a Yesu kaeɛ no maa asuafoɔ no ho dwirii wɔn. Yesu sane kaa bio sɛ, “Me mma, sɛ moahunu den a ɛyɛ ma wɔn a wɔwɔ ahonyadeɛ sɛ wɔbɛkɔ Onyankopɔn Ahennie mu?
The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said to them again, “Children, how difficult it is for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God!
25 Na ɛyɛ mmerɛ sɛ yoma bɛfa paneɛ aniwa mu sene sɛ osikani bɛkɔ Onyankopɔn Ahennie mu.”
It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”
26 Asuafoɔ no ho dwiri wɔn mmorosoɔ na wɔbisaa no sɛ, “Ɛnneɛ na hwan na wɔbɛgye no nkwa?”
They were completely astonished at this and said to one another, “Who then can be saved?”
27 Yesu hwɛɛ wɔn dinn kaa sɛ, “Onipa fam deɛ, yei rentumi mma mu, na Onyankopɔn fam deɛ, biribiara bɛtumi aba mu.”
Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.”
28 Afei, Petro hyɛɛ aseɛ kenkanee nneɛma a ɔne asuafoɔ no agya abɛdi Yesu akyi. Ɔkaa sɛ, “Yɛagya biribiara abɛdi wʼakyi.”
Peter began to say to him, “Behold, we have left everything and followed yoʋ.”
29 Yesu nso buaa no sɛ, “Merema mo ate aseɛ sɛ, obi nni hɔ a, me enti wagya efie, nuammarimanom, nuammaanom, maame, agya ne mma anaasɛ agyapadeɛ a ɔbɛkɔ akɔka Asɛmpa no,
Jesus answered, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house, brothers, sisters, father, mother, wife, children, or fields, for my sake and for the sake of the gospel,
30 na ɔrennya efie, nuammarimanom, nuammaanom, maamenom, mma ne nsase mmɔho ɔha a ɔtaa nso ka ho! Yeinom nyinaa bɛyɛ ne dea wɔ asase yi so, na ewiase a ɛreba no mu deɛ, ɔbɛnya nkwa a ɛnni awieeɛ. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
who will not receive now in this age a hundred times as many houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
31 Na adikanfoɔ pii bɛdi akyire, na akyikafoɔ abɛdi ɛkan.”
But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.”
32 Afei, wɔsiim sɛ wɔrekɔ Yerusalem a na Yesu di wɔn ɛkan; na ɛberɛ a asuafoɔ no di nʼakyi no, ehu ne suro kaa wɔn. Yesu twee wɔn gyinaa nkyɛn, na ɔsane kaa nneɛma a, sɛ wɔduru Yerusalem a, ɛbɛba ne so no nyinaa kyerɛɛ wɔn.
Now they were on the road going up to Jerusalem. Jesus was walking ahead of them, and they were amazed. But as they followed they became afraid. Again he took the twelve aside and began to tell them what was going to happen to him:
33 Ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Sɛ yɛduru hɔ a, wɔbɛyi me, Onipa Ba no ama asɔfoɔ mpanin ne Atwerɛsɛm no akyerɛkyerɛfoɔ, na wɔabu me kumfɔ, na wɔde me ahyɛ Roma aban nsa, na wɔakum me.
“Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to the chief priests and scribes. They will condemn him to death and hand him over to the Gentiles.
34 Wɔbɛdi me ho fɛw, na wɔatete ntasuo agu me so, na wɔde mpire atwa me mmaa, na wɔakum me, na nnansa so no, masɔre bio.”
They will mock him, flog him, spit on him, and kill him. But on the third day he will rise again.”
35 Afei, Sebedeo mma Yakobo ne Yohane baa Yesu nkyɛn bɛka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Ɔkyerɛkyerɛfoɔ, yɛpɛ sɛ woyɛ yɛn adɔeɛ bi.”
Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to him and said, “Teacher, we want yoʋ to do for us whatever we ask.”
36 Yesu bisaa wɔn sɛ, “Ɛdeɛn na mopɛ sɛ meyɛ ma mo?”
So he said to them, “What do you want me to do for you?”
37 Wobuaa sɛ, “Ma yɛn mu baako ntena wo nifa so, na ɔbaako nso ntena wo benkum so wɔ wʼahennie mu hɔ!”
They said to him, “Grant that one of us may sit on yoʋr right and the other on yoʋr left in yoʋr glory.”
38 Nanso, Yesu maa wɔn mmuaeɛ sɛ, “Monnim deɛ mobisa no! Mobɛtumi anom awerɛhoɔ kuruwa nwononwono a ɛsɛ sɛ menom ano no anaa? Anaasɛ, mobɛtumi ama wɔde amanehunu asubɔ no abɔ mo asu?”
But Jesus said to them, “You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?”
39 Wɔka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Yɛbɛtumi!” Na Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Mobɛtumi anom me kuruwa ano, na wɔde asubɔ a wɔde bɔ me no abɔ mo;
They said to him, “We are able.” Then Jesus said to them, “You will indeed drink the cup that I drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with,
40 nanso menni tumi sɛ meyi wɔn a wɔbɛtena me nifa anaa me benkum so no. Onyankopɔn nko ara na ɔde saa afa no bɛma wɔn a wɔasiesie hɔ ama wɔn no.”
but to sit on my right and on my left is not mine to give, but is for those for whom it has been prepared.”
41 Asuafoɔ a aka no tee deɛ Yakobo ne Yohane kɔbisaeɛ no, anyɛ wɔn dɛ.
When the ten heard this, they started becoming indignant with James and John.
42 Enti, Yesu frɛɛ wɔn ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Monim sɛ ahene ne atumfoɔ a wɔwɔ ewiase no di wɔn a wɔhyɛ wɔn ase no so,
So Jesus called them over and said to them, “You know that those who are recognized as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great men exercise authority over them.
43 nanso mo deɛ, ɛnte saa wɔ mo ho. Obiara a ɔpɛ sɛ ɔyɛ kɛse wɔ mo mu no, ɛsɛ sɛ ɔyɛ mo ɔsomfoɔ.
But it shall not be so among you. Instead, whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant,
44 Na obiara a ɔpɛ sɛ ɔyɛ ne nuanom so panin no ɛsɛ sɛ ɔyɛ wɔn nyinaa akoa.
and whoever wants to be first among you must be a slave to all.
45 Me a meyɛ Onipa Ba no, mamma sɛ wɔnsom me na mmom, mebaeɛ sɛ merebɛboa afoforɔ, na mede me kra ayɛ mpata ama nnipa pii.”
For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
46 Yesu ne nʼasuafoɔ no bɛduruu Yeriko. Wɔrefi kuro no mu no, nnipakuo tu dii wɔn akyi. Saa ɛberɛ a Yesu retwa mu no, na onifirani Bartimeo a ne din nkyerɛaseɛ ne “Timoteo ba” no te kwankyɛn resrɛsrɛ adeɛ.
Then they came to Jericho. Now as Jesus was leaving Jericho, along with his disciples and a large crowd, the blind man Bartimaeus, son of Timaeus, was sitting by the road begging.
47 Ɛberɛ a Bartimeo tee sɛ Yesu Nasareni na ɔretwam no, ɔhyɛɛ aseɛ teateaam sɛ, “Dawid Ba Yesu, hunu me mmɔbɔ!”
When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, “Son of David, Jesus, have mercy on me!”
48 Nnipa no bi teateaa no sɛ, “Mua wʼano!” Nanso ɔkɔɔ so teateaam denden sɛ, “Dawid ba, hunu me mmɔbɔ!”
Many people began rebuking him, telling him to be silent, but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
49 Ɛberɛ a Yesu tee ne nne no, ɔgyina kaa sɛ, “Momfrɛ no mma me.” Wɔfrɛɛ onifirani no ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Ma wo bo ntɔ wo yam, sɔre na ɔrefrɛ wo!”
Then Jesus stopped and asked for him to be called over. So they called out to the blind man and said to him, “Take courage and get up; he is calling for yoʋ.”
50 Bartimeo to ne ntoma guiɛ, sɔre baa Yesu nkyɛn.
Throwing off his cloak, he rose and came to Jesus.
51 Yesu bisaa no sɛ, “Ɛdeɛn na wopɛ sɛ meyɛ mema wo?” Onifirani no buaa sɛ, “Ɔkyerɛkyerɛfoɔ, mepɛ sɛ mehunu adeɛ!”
Then Jesus said to him, “What do yoʋ want me to do for yoʋ?” The blind man said to him, “Rabboni, I want to receive my sight.”
52 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Kɔ, na wo gyidie agye wo.” Na ntɛm ara onifirani no hunuu adeɛ, na ɔdii Yesu akyi.
Jesus said to him, “Go; yoʋr faith has healed yoʋ.” Immediately he received his sight and began following Jesus on the road.
