< Luka 9 >

1 Ɛda bi Yesu frɛɛ Dumienu no hyiaeɛ maa wɔn tumi ne ahoɔden a wɔde bɛtu ahonhommɔne na wɔde asa nyarewa nso.
Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.
2 Afei, ɔsomaa wɔn sɛ wɔnkɔka Onyankopɔn Ahennie ho asɛm na wɔnsa nyarewa.
And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.
3 Na ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Mo akwantuo yi mu, mommfa biribiara nkɔ, sɛ ɛyɛ poma anaa akwantubɔtɔ, anaa aduane biara, anaa sika, anaa ntadeɛ mmienu mmienu.
And he said to them, Take nothing for [your] journey, neither staffs, nor bag, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.
4 Na sɛ mokɔ kuro bi mu a, efie biara a mobɛsoɛ mu no, ɛhɔ ara na montena kɔsi sɛ mobɛfiri kuro no mu.
And into whatever house ye enter, there abide, and thence depart.
5 Sɛ mokɔ kuro biara mu na wɔannye mo, na morefiri hɔ akɔ a, momporoporo mo nan ase mfuturo mfa nkyerɛ sɛ, mo ne wɔn nni hwee yɛ bio.”
And whoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.
6 Wɔfirii hɔ no, wɔkɔɔ nkuraaseɛ nkuraaseɛ kɔkaa asɛmpa no, saa nyarewa pii nso.
And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.
7 Ɔmansinihene Herode tee deɛ Yesu ayɛ no nyinaa no, ɛhaa no yie, ɛfiri sɛ, na ebinom keka sɛ Yohane Osubɔni na wasɔre afiri awufoɔ mu,
Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him: and he was perplexed, because that it was said by some, that John had risen from the dead;
8 na afoforɔ nso se ɛyɛ Elia anaa tete adiyifoɔ no mu baako na wasɔre afiri awufoɔ mu aba.
And by some, that Elijah had appeared; and by others, that one of the ancient prophets had risen again.
9 Herode kaa sɛ, “Yohane deɛ, matwa ne ti, na hwan koraa ne saa onipa yi a mete anwanwasɛm a ɛte sɛɛ yi fa ne ho yi?” Yei enti, ɔpɛɛ sɛ ɔhu no.
And Herod said, John have I beheaded; but who is this of whom I hear such things? And he desired to see him.
10 Asomafoɔ no firii wɔn akwantuo mu baeɛ no, wɔbɔɔ nsɛm a ɛsisii hɔ nyinaa ho amaneɛ kyerɛɛ Yesu. Yei akyi, Yesu ne wɔn twee wɔn ho kɔɔ baabi a ɛbɛn Betsaida.
And the apostles, when they had returned, told him all that they had done. And he took them, and went aside privately into a desert place, belonging to the city called Bethsaida.
11 Nnipakuo no hunuu deɛ Yesu ne nʼasomafoɔ no wɔ no, wɔtii wɔn ma ɔgyee wɔn fɛw so, kaa Onyankopɔn Ahennie ho asɛm kyerɛɛ wɔn, saa ayarefoɔ yadeɛ.
And the people, when they knew [it], followed him: and he received them, and spoke to them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.
12 Anim rebiribiri no, dumienu no baa ne nkyɛn bɛka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Ka kyerɛ nnipa no na wɔnkɔ nkuro ne nkuraa a atwa yɛn ho ahyia yi mu nkɔpɛ deɛ wɔbɛdi ne deɛ wɔbɛda ɛfiri sɛ, baabi a yɛwɔ yi yɛ ɛserɛ so.”
And when the day began to decline, then came the twelve, and said to him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country around, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place.
13 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Mo ara momma wɔn biribi nni.” Wɔbuaa no sɛ, “Yɛwɔ burodo enum ne mpataa mmienu pɛ. Ɛno enti, gye sɛ yɛkɔtɔ aduane brɛ wɔn nyinaa.”
But he said to them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more than five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy provisions for all this people.
14 Na nnipa bɛyɛ mpemnum na wɔahyia wɔ hɔ. Yesu ka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafoɔ no sɛ, “Monhwɛ na nnipa no ntenatena ase aduonum aduonum.”
For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in a company.
15 Wɔyɛɛ sɛdeɛ Yesu kaeɛ no.
And they did so, and made them all sit down.
16 Afei, Yesu faa burodo enum no ne mpataa mmienu no na ɔhwɛɛ soro, hyiraa so, bubuu mu de maa nʼasuafoɔ no sɛ wɔnkyɛ mma nnipa no.
Then he took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and broke, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude.
17 Obiara didi meeɛ. Afei, asuafoɔ no boaboaa deɛ wɔdi ma ɛkaeɛ no ano no, ɛyɛɛ nkɛntɛmma dumienu.
And they ate, and were all satisfied: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them, twelve baskets.
18 Ɛda bi Yesu nko ara kɔhyɛɛ baabi bɔɔ mpaeɛ. Yei akyi no, ɔbisaa nʼasuafoɔ no sɛ, “Nnipa ka sɛ mene hwan?”
And it came to pass, as he was in retirement praying, his disciples were with him; and he asked them, saying, Who say the people that I am?
19 Wɔbuaa no sɛ, “Ebinom ka sɛ, woyɛ Yohane Osubɔni, ebinom nso ka sɛ Elia, na afoforɔ nso sɛ, woyɛ tete adiyifoɔ no baako a wasɔre afiri awufoɔ mu aba.”
They answering, said, John the Baptist; but some [say], Elijah; and others [say], that one of the ancient prophets is risen again.
20 Yesu bisaa wɔn sɛ, “Na mo nso mose mene hwan?” Petro buaa no sɛ, “Wone Kristo, deɛ Onyankopɔn asoma no no.”
He said to them, But who say ye that I am? Peter answering, said, Christ of God.
21 Yesu bɔɔ wɔn ano sɛ wɔnnka nkyerɛ obiara.
And he strictly charged them, and commanded [them] to tell no man that thing,
22 Ɔtoaa so sɛ, “Ɛsɛ sɛ Kristo no hunu amane pii; Yudafoɔ mpanimfoɔ ne asɔfoɔ mpanin ne Atwerɛsɛm no akyerɛkyerɛfoɔ nso bɛpo no. Akyire no, wɔbɛkum no, na ne nnansa so wasɔre.”
Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, and chief priests, and scribes, and be put to death, and be raised the third day.
23 Afei, ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn nyinaa sɛ, “Sɛ obi pɛ sɛ ɔdi mʼakyi a, ɔmpa ne ho akyi na daa ɔnsoa nʼasɛnnua na ɔnni mʼakyi.
And he said to [them] all, If any [man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
24 Na obiara a ɔma nʼani ku ne ho sene me no, ɔbɛhwere ne nkwa; na deɛ me enti ɔbɛhwere ne nkwa no, ne nsa bɛka.
For whoever will save his life, shall lose it: but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
25 Na sɛ onipa nya ewiase yi mu nneɛma nyinaa na ɔhwere ne kra a, ɛdeɛn mfasoɔ na ɔbɛnya?
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?
26 Na deɛ nʼani bɛwu me ne me nsɛm ho no, ɔno nso, da a me, Kristo bɛba wɔ me ne Agya no ne abɔfoɔ kronkron no animuonyam mu no, mʼani bɛwu ne ho.
For whoever shall be ashamed of me, and of my words, of him will the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and [in that of his] Father, and of the holy angels.
27 “Na mereka akyerɛ mo sɛ, mo a mogyina ha yi mu bi wɔ hɔ a wɔrenwu kɔsi sɛ wɔbɛhunu Onyankopɔn Ahennie no.”
But I tell you in truth, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God.
28 Yesu kaa ne nsɛm yi wieeɛ no, ɛbɛyɛ nnawɔtwe akyi, ɔne Petro, Yohane ne Yakobo kɔɔ bepɔ bi so sɛ wɔrekɔbɔ mpaeɛ.
And it came to pass, about eight days after these sayings, he took Peter, and John, and James, and went up upon a mountain to pray.
29 Na Yesu gu so rebɔ mpaeɛ no, nʼanimdua sesaeɛ, na nʼatadeɛ nso hyerɛneeɛ.
And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment [was] white [and] glistening.
30 Prɛko pɛ, nnipa baanu a ɛyɛ Mose ne Elia ne no bɛkasaeɛ.
And behold, there talked with him two men, who were Moses and Elijah.
31 Saa nnipa baanu yi bɛpuee hɔ animuonyam mu kaa ne wuo a ɔbɛwu wɔ Yerusalem no ho asɛm kyerɛɛ no.
Who appeared in glory, and spoke of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.
32 Saa ɛberɛ no na Petro ne nnipa a wɔka ne ho no adeda hatehatee na wɔnyanenyanee a wɔn ani so tetee wɔn no, wɔhunuu Yesu sɛ ɔwɔ nʼanimuonyam mu ne nnipa baanu bi a wɔka ne ho.
But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.
33 Na ɛbaa sɛ nnipa no refiri Yesu nkyɛn akɔ no, Petro ka kyerɛɛ Yesu sɛ, “Awurade, ɛyɛ sɛ yɛn nso yɛwɔ ha bi. Ma yɛmmɔ asese mmiɛnsa; wo deɛ baako, Mose deɛ baako na Elia nso deɛ baako.” Na Petro nnim asɛm a ɔreka no.
And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah: not knowing what he said.
34 Ɔgu so rekasa no, omununkum bɛkataa wɔn so ma wɔsuroeɛ.
While he was thus speaking, there came a cloud and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.
35 Na nne bi firi omununkum no mu kaa sɛ, “Yei ne me Ba a mayi no. Montie no!”
And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
36 Kasa yi akyi no, wohunuu sɛ aka Yesu nko ara na ɔgyina hɔ. Na mmerɛ no mu, wɔanka deɛ wɔhunuiɛ no ankyerɛ obiara.
And when the voice was past, Jesus was found alone. And they kept [it] close, and told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen.
37 Adeɛ kyeeɛ a wɔsiane firii bepɔ no so baeɛ no, nnipakuo bi bɛhyiaa Yesu.
And it came to pass, that on the next day, when they had come down from the hill, many people met him.
38 Ɔbarima bi firi nnipakuo no mu teaam sɛ, “Ɔkyerɛkyerɛfoɔ, mesrɛ wo, bra bɛhwɛ me ba a medi no ba korɔ ma me;
And behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee look upon my son: for he is my only child.
39 sɛ honhommɔne ba ne so a, amonom, ɔteaam, ɔtwa hwe, ɔsensene, nʼano pu ahuro, na ɔbu fa so, na ɛkyɛ ansa na afiri ne so.
And lo, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out; and it teareth him that he foameth, and bruising him, hardly departeth from him.
40 Na mesrɛɛ wʼasuafoɔ no sɛ wɔntu honhommɔne no, nanso wɔantumi.”
And I besought thy disciples to cast him out, and they could not.
41 Yesu kaa sɛ, “Ao! Mo a monni gyidie, mentena mo nkyɛn na mennya mo ho boasetɔ nkɔsi da bɛn!” Afei, ɔdanee nʼani ka kyerɛɛ ɔbarima no sɛ, “Fa wo ba no bra ha.”
And Jesus answering, said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither.
42 Ɔde abɔfra no reba no, honhommɔne no twaa no hwee fam ma ɔsenseneeɛ. Nanso, Yesu teateaa honhommɔne no maa abɔfra no ho yɛɛ no den na ɔde no maa nʼagya.
And as he was yet coming, the demon threw him down, and tore [him]. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.
43 Onyankopɔn tumi ne ne kɛseyɛ a ɛdaa adi wɔ honhommɔne no tu mu no maa nnipa no ho dwirii wɔn. Na wɔredwennwene deɛ asi yi ho no, Yesu ka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafoɔ no sɛ,
And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they were all wondering at all things which Jesus did, he said to his disciples,
44 “Montie asɛm a merebɛka yi yie. Wɔrebɛyi Onipa Ba no de no ahyɛ wɔn a wɔwɔ tumi no nsa.”
Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man will be delivered into the hands of men.
45 Deɛ ɔkaeɛ yi na ɛyɛ ahintasɛm enti, asuafoɔ no ante aseɛ. Nanso, na wɔsuro sɛ wɔbɛbisa no aseɛ.
But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him concerning that saying.
46 Asuafoɔ no gyee akyinnyeɛ a ɛfa wɔn mu deɛ ɔbɛyɛ kɛse Onyankopɔn Ahennie mu no ho.
Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest.
47 Na Yesu hunuu wɔn adwene no, ɔsɔɔ abɔfra bi mu de no bɛgyinaa ne nkyɛn pɛɛ,
And Jesus perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,
48 na ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Obiara a ɔbɛgye saa abɔfra yi wɔ me din mu no, gye me; na deɛ ɔgye me no nso, gye deɛ ɔsomaa me no. Deɛ ɔyɛ aketewa wɔ mo nyinaa mu no, ɔno ne ɔkɛseɛ.”
And said to them, Whoever shall receive this child in my name, receiveth me; and whoever shall receive me, receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.
49 Yohane nso ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Awurade, yɛhunuu obi a ɔnka yɛn ho sɛ ɔde wo din tu ahonhommɔne enti yɛbraa no.”
And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out demons in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.
50 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Ɛnsɛ sɛ anka mobra no, ɛfiri sɛ, deɛ ɔntia mo no, na ɔwɔ mo afa.”
And Jesus said to him, Forbid [him] not: for he that is not against us, is for us.
51 Na ɛberɛ a ɛsɛ sɛ Yesu sane kɔ ɔsoro no rebɛn no, ɔsii ne bo sɛ ɔbɛkɔ Yerusalem.
And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he steadfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,
52 Ansa na ɔrebɛkɔ no, ɔsomaa nnipa bi dii ɛkan kɔɔ Samaria akuraa bi ase sɛ wɔnkɔsiesie baabi mma no.
And sent messengers before his face: and they went and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.
53 Nanso, Samariafoɔ no annye Yesu, ɛfiri sɛ, wɔhunuu sɛ na ɔrekɔ Yerusalem.
And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.
54 Asuafoɔ no tee deɛ aba no, Yakobo ne Yohane bisaa Yesu sɛ, “Awurade, wopɛ sɛ yɛma ogya firi ɔsoro bɛhye wɔn pasaa anaa?”
And when his disciples James and John saw [this], they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elijah did?
55 Yesu danee nʼani kyerɛɛ wɔn kaa wɔn anim,
But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.
56 na wɔfirii hɔ kɔɔ akuraa foforɔ bi ase.
For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save [them]. And they went to another village.
57 Ɛberɛ a wɔrekɔ no, ɔbarima bi baa Yesu nkyɛn bɛka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Baabiara a wobɛkɔ no, mɛdi wʼakyi.”
And it came to pass, that as they were going in the way, a certain [man] said to him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.
58 Yesu buaa no sɛ, “Sakraman wɔ abɔn, ewiem nnomaa nso wɔ mpirebuo, nanso me, Onipa Ba no deɛ, menni baabi a mede me tiri to!”
And Jesus said to him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air [have] nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay [his] head.
59 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ ɔbarima foforɔ bi nso sɛ, “Bɛdi mʼakyiri.” Nanso, ɔbarima no kaa sɛ, “Awurade, ma me ɛkwan na menkɔsie mʼagya ansa.”
And he said to another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
60 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Ma wɔn a wɔte ase na wɔawu wɔ honhom mu no nyɛ saa nnwuma no, na wo deɛ, kɔka Onyankopɔn Ahennie no ho asɛm kyerɛ amanaman nyinaa.”
Jesus said to him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.
61 Na ɔfoforɔ nso kaa sɛ, “Awurade, mɛdi wʼakyi; nanso ma me kwan na me ne mʼabusuafoɔ nkɔdi nkra ansa.”
And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go [and] bid them farewell who are at my house.
62 Nanso, Yesu ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Obiara a ɔbɛma nʼadwene ayɛ no ntanta wɔ dwumadie bi a mede ahyɛ ne nsa no ho no, mfata Onyankopɔn Ahennie no.”
And Jesus said to him, No man having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
