< Luka 24 >

1 Kwasiada anɔpahema, mmaa no de nnuhwam ne ngo no kɔɔ ɔboda no so.
And on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the sepulcher, bringing the spices which they had prepared; and with them came certain others.
2 Wɔduruu hɔ no, wɔhunuu sɛ wɔapire ɛboɔ a wɔde hinii ɔboda no ano no afiri hɔ.
And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulcher;
3 Na wɔkɔɔ ɔboda no mu no, na Yesu amu no nna hɔ.
and they entered in, but found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 Wɔde ahodwirie gyina hɔ no, amonom hɔ ara, mmarima baanu bi a wɔhyehyɛ ntadeɛ fitafitaa a ani hyerɛn bɛgyinagyinaa wɔn nkyɛn.
And it came to pass, while they were much perplexed at this, behold, two men stood by them in shining raiment.
5 Mmaa yi akoma tuiɛ na wɔkotokotoo wɔn na mmarima no bisaa wɔn sɛ, “Adɛn enti na morehwehwɛ ɔteasefoɔ wɔ awufoɔ mu?
And while they feared and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them: Why seek you among the dead for him that lives?
6 Ɔnni ha. Wasɔre! Monnkae asɛm a ɔka kyerɛɛ mo ɛberɛ a na ɔwɔ Galilea no sɛ,
He is not here, but he has risen; remember that he spoke to you while he was yet in Galilee,
7 ‘Ɛtwa sɛ wɔde Kristo no hyɛ nnebɔneyɛfoɔ nsa na wɔbɔ no asɛnnua mu na ne nnansa so wasɔre bio no?’”
saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
8 Mmaa no kaee asɛm no no,
And they remembered his words,
9 wɔde ahoɔherɛ firii ɔboda no so bɛkaa deɛ wɔhunuiɛ no nyinaa kyerɛɛ asuafoɔ dubaako no ne wɔn a wɔwɔ hɔ no nyinaa.
and returned from the sepulcher, and told all these things to the eleven and to the rest.
10 Mmaa a wɔkɔɔ ɔboda no so a wɔbɛkaa saa asɛm yi no ne Maria Magdalene ne Yohana ne Yakobo maame Maria ne afoforɔ bi.
It was Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James, and the others with them, that told these things to the apostles.
11 Wɔn nsɛm a wɔbɛkaeɛ no yɛɛ wɔn sɛ anansesɛm bi enti, wɔannye anni.
And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.
But Peter arose and ran to the sepulcher, and stooping down, he saw the linen clothes lying by themselves; and he departed, wondering in himself at that which had come to pass.
13 Ɛda no ara asuafoɔ no mu baanu siim sɛ wɔrekɔ akuraa bi a wɔfrɛ no Emaus a ɛfiri Yerusalem rekɔ hɔ no bɛyɛ sɛ akwansini nson.
And, behold, two of them were going, on the same day, to a village called Emmaus, distant from Jerusalem sixty furlongs.
14 Wɔrekɔ no nyinaa na asɛm a asi no ho nkɔmmɔ ara na wɔredi.
And they were talking to one another about all these things which had taken place.
15 Wɔgu so redi nkɔmmɔ na wɔregye wɔn ho akyinnyeɛ no, Yesu bɛkaa wɔn ho ne wɔn bɔɔ anan kɔeɛ.
And it came to pass, that, while they conversed and reasoned together, Jesus himself drew near, and went on with them.
16 Wɔhunuu sɛ obi ka wɔn ho deɛ, nanso wɔantumi anhunu sɛ ɛyɛ Yesu.
But their eyes were restrained, so that they did not recognize him.
17 Ɔbisaa wɔn sɛ, “Nkɔmmɔ bɛn na moredi a mo werɛ aho mo ho yi?”
And he said to them: What matters are these which you are discussing with one another as you walk and are sad?
18 Na wɔn mu baako a wɔfrɛ no Kleopa bisaa no sɛ, “Wo nko ara ne ɔhɔhoɔ a wowɔ Yerusalem a wontee nsɛm a asisi hɔ nnansa yi no?”
And one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answered and said to him: Are you only a stranger in Jerusalem, and have not known the things that have taken place there in these days?
19 Ɔbisaa wɔn sɛ, “Nsɛm bɛn?” Wɔbuaa no sɛ, “Nsɛm a ɛfa Nasareni Yesu a ɔyɛ odiyifoɔ a ɔwɔ tumi wɔ nneyɛeɛ ne ɔkasa mu wɔ Onyankopɔn ne nnipa nyinaa anim no ho,
And he said to them: What things? They said to him: The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and in word before God and all the people;
20 ne sɛdeɛ asɔfoɔ mpanin ne yɛn mpanimfoɔ kyeree no de no kɔɔ aban mu sɛ wɔmmu no kumfɔ a wɔbɔɔ no asɛnnua mu no ho.
and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified him.
21 Yɛn deɛ, na yɛn ani da so sɛ ɔno na ɔrebɛgye Israel, na bio nnansa ni a saa asɛm yi siiɛ.
But we trusted that it was he that was about to redeem Israel. And besides all this, to-day is the third day since these things were done.
22 Na mmaa bi nso a wɔyɛ Yesu akyidifoɔ sɛ yɛn ara ama yɛn ho adwiri yɛn. Wɔkɔɔ ɔboda no so anɔpa yi ara,
And further, certain women of our company, who were early at the sepulcher, astonished us:
23 nanso wɔanhunu nʼamu no. Wɔsane bɛka kyerɛɛ yɛn sɛ, wɔahunu ɔsoro abɔfoɔ ma wɔaka akyerɛ wɔn sɛ, Yesu te ase.
for they found not his body, and came and told that they had seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive.
24 Yɛn mu binom tuu mmirika kɔhwɛeɛ na ampa ara, na Yesu amu no nni hɔ sɛdeɛ mmaa no kaeɛ no ara pɛ.”
And some of those who were with us went to the sepulcher, and found it even as the women had said, but him they saw not.
25 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Adwenemherɛfoɔ a monni gyidie; ɛyɛ mo den sɛ mobɛgye deɛ adiyifoɔ no aka no nyinaa adi.
And he said to them: O inconsiderate, and slow of heart to believe all things that the prophets have spoken!
26 Wɔanhyɛ ho nkɔm sɛ, ɛsɛ sɛ Kristo no bɛhunu amane ansa na wakɔ nʼanimuonyam mu anaa?”
Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
27 Na ɔfirii Mose ne adiyifoɔ no so kyerɛkyerɛɛ wɔn nsɛm a ɛfa ne ho wɔ Atwerɛsɛm no mu no nyinaa ase.
And beginning from Moses, and all the prophets, he explained to them, in all the Scriptures, the things concerning himself.
28 Wɔduruu Emaus kurotia no, Yesu pɛɛ sɛ anka ɔtoa nʼakwantuo no so.
And they drew near the village to which they were going; and he made as if he would go further.
29 Nanso, wɔsrɛɛ no, sanee no sɛ ɔnna wɔn nkyɛn, ɛfiri sɛ, na adeɛ reyɛ asa enti, ɔsane ne wɔn kɔɔ efie.
And they constrained him, saying: Remain with us, for it is near the evening, and the day has declined. And he went in to remain with them.
30 Ɛberɛ a wɔte adidiiɛ no, Yesu bɔɔ mpaeɛ, daa Onyankopɔn ase, faa burodo bubuu mu de maa wɔn.
And it came to pass, while he reclined at table with them, that he took bread and blessed; and he broke, and gave it to them.
31 Amonom, wɔn ani so tetee wɔn maa afei wɔhunuu sɛ ɛyɛ Yesu. Ɛhɔ ara, ɔtu yeraeɛ.
And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him, and he disappeared from them.
32 Na afei, wɔsesee wɔn ho wɔn ho, sɛdeɛ Atwerɛsɛm no mu nsɛm a ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn ɛberɛ a na wɔnam ɛkwan so no si fa kaa wɔn akoma no.
And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
33 Ntɛm ara, wɔsane wɔn akyi baa Yerusalem bɛtoo asuafoɔ dubaako no ne wɔn a na wɔka wɔn ho no sɛ wɔahyia.
And they arose the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven, and those who were with them, assembled,
34 Wɔduruu hɔ no, wɔbɔɔ wɔn amanneɛ sɛ, “Ampa ara, Awurade asɔre afiri awufoɔ mu. Wayi ne ho adi akyerɛ Simon.”
and saying: The Lord has risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon.
35 Baanu a wɔfiri Emaus baeɛ no nso bɔɔ wɔn amaneɛ, sɛdeɛ Yesu bɛtoo wɔn Emaus ɛkwan so na wɔantumi anhunu sɛ ɛyɛ ɔno kɔsii ɛberɛ a ɔbubuu burodo mu de maa wɔn no ansa.
And they told what had taken place on the way, and how he was made known to them in the breaking of bread.
36 Wɔgu so rebɔ amaneɛ no, prɛko pɛ, Yesu bɛpuee hɔ, kyeaa wɔn sɛ, “Asomdwoeɛ nka mo!”
And while they were speaking of these things, Jesus him self stood in the midst of them, and said to them: Peace be to you.
37 Wɔn nyinaa bobɔɔ birim, suroeɛ ɛfiri sɛ, na wɔsusu sɛ wɔahunu ɔsaman.
But they were terrified and frightened, and thought that they saw a spirit.
38 Ɔbisaa wɔn sɛ, “Adɛn na mo akoma atutu na monnye nni nso sɛ ɛyɛ me a?
And he said to them: Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts?
39 Monhwɛ me nsam ne me nan. Ɛyɛ me a! Momfa mo nsa nka me nhwɛ; ɛfiri sɛ, ɔsaman nni honam ne nnompe sɛdeɛ mohunu sɛ mewɔ bi yi.”
See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself; handle me and see; for a spirit has not flesh and bones, as you see me have.
40 Ɔkasa wieeɛ no, ɔde ne nsa ne ne nan kyerɛɛ wɔn.
And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.
41 Anigyetrasoɔ ne ahodwirie enti, amma wɔannye anni sɛ ɛyɛ ɔno. Ɔbisaa wɔn sɛ, “Mowɔ biribi wɔ ha a mobɛdi anaa?”
And while they did not believe as yet for joy, and were astonished, he said to them: Have you any thing here to eat?
42 Wɔmaa no apataa sini bi a wɔatoto
And they gave him a piece of broiled fish, and of a honeycomb.
43 ma ɔgye wee wɔ wɔn anim hɔ ara.
And he took it, and did eat before them.
44 Na ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Yei ne me nsɛm a meka kyerɛɛ mo ɛberɛ a na me ne mo wɔ hɔ no sɛ, ɛsɛ sɛ biribiara a wɔatwerɛ afa me ho wɔ Mose Mmara ne Adiyifoɔ nwoma ne Nnwom mu no ba mu.”
And he said to them: These are the words that I spoke to you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled that are written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
45 Afei, ɔbuee wɔn adwene mu ma wɔtee Atwerɛsɛm a ɛfa ne ho no ase.
Then he opened their mind, that they might understand the scriptures,
46 Ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Wɔatwerɛ sɛ, ɛsɛ sɛ Kristo no hunu amane na ɔwu na ne nnansa so, wasɔre afiri awufoɔ mu.
and he said to them: Thus it is written, and thus was it necessary that the Christ should suffer, and rise again from the dead the third day,
47 Na wɔbɛfiri aseɛ wɔ Yerusalem de ne din akɔka adwensakyera ne bɔnefakyɛ ho nsɛm akyerɛ amansan.
and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 Mone yeinom nyinaa ho adansefoɔ.
You are witnesses of these things.
49 Mɛsoma Honhom Kronkron no na waba mo so sɛdeɛ mʼAgya hyɛɛ ho bɔ no. Na monnkɔ baabiara; montena ha nkɔsi sɛ Honhom Kronkron no de tumi a ɛfiri ɔsoro no bɛba abɛhyɛ mo ma.”
And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you. But do you remain in the city of Jerusalem, till you be clothed with power from on high.
50 Yesu ne asuafoɔ no bɔɔ anan kɔduruu Betania kurotia na ɔmaa ne nsa so hyiraa wɔn.
And he led them out as far as Bethany; and he lifted up his hands and blessed them.
51 Ɔgu so rehyira wɔn no, wɔmaa no so kɔɔ ɔsoro.
And it came to pass, that as he blessed them, he was separated from them, and carried up into heaven.
52 Na wɔsɔree no de anigyeɛ sane kɔɔ Yerusalem.
And they worshiped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy;
53 Na daa wɔwɔ asɔredan no mu hɔ yi Onyankopɔn ayɛ.
and were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God.
