< Luka 20 >
1 Ɛda bi a Yesu rekyerɛkyerɛ wɔ asɔredan mu no, asɔfoɔ mpanin, Atwerɛsɛm no akyerɛkyerɛfoɔ ne ɔman no mu mpanin kɔbisaa no sɛ,
And it came to pass, on one of those days, He teaching the people in the temple, and preaching the gospel, the priests, and scribes, along with the elders stood up against Him;
2 “Tumi bɛn na wowɔ a wode yɛ saa nneɛma yi; na hwan nso na ɔmaa wo saa tumi no?”
and they spoke to Him, saying, Tell us by what authority you are doing these things? Who is the one having given you this authority?
3 Yesu buaa wɔn sɛ, “Me nso mewɔ asɛm bi bisa mo. Monka nkyerɛ me.
And responding He said to them, I will ask you one word; and you tell me:
4 Tumi bɛn na Yohane de bɔɔ asu; ɛfiri Onyankopɔn anaa ɛfiri nnipa?”
Was the baptism of John from heaven, or from men?
5 Wɔfaa ho adwene kaa sɛ, “Sɛ yɛka sɛ, ɛfiri Onyankopɔn a, ɔbɛbisa yɛn sɛ, ‘ɛnneɛ, adɛn enti na moannye no anni?’
And they reason among themselves saying, If we may say it is from heaven; He will say, Why did you not believe on him?
6 Sɛ nso yɛka sɛ, ɛfiri onipa a, ɔman mu no nyinaa bɛsi yɛn aboɔ, ɛfiri sɛ, wɔnim sɛ Yohane yɛ odiyifoɔ.”
And if we may say, From men; all the people will stone us: for they are persuaded that John was a prophet.
7 Ɛwiee aseɛ no, wɔbuaeɛ sɛ, “Yɛnnim.”
And they responded, We do not know whence it is.
8 Yesu nso ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Ɛnneɛ me nso meremma mo mo asɛmmisa no ho mmuaeɛ.”
And Jesus said to them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.
9 Yesu buu wɔn ɛbɛ bi sɛ, “Ɔbarima bi yɛɛ bobefuo de hyɛɛ apaafoɔ bi nsa sɛ wɔnhwɛ so mma no. Yei akyi ɔtuu kwan kɔɔ akyirikyiri baabi, kɔtenaa hɔ kyɛree.
And He began to speak to the people this parable, A man planted a vineyard and gave it out to husbandmen, and went away a long time.
10 Bobeteɛ berɛ duruiɛ no, ɔbarima yi somaa ne ɔsomfoɔ sɛ ɔnkɔgye aduaba no bi mmrɛ no. Nanso, apaafoɔ no boroo no, ma ɔsane kɔɔ nsapan.
And in season he sent a servant to the husbandmen that they might give to him of the fruit of the vineyard, and the husbandmen beating him, sent him away empty.
11 Ɔsomaa ɔsomfoɔ foforɔ maa ɔno nso wɔboroo no, bɔɔ no adapaa, ma ɔkɔɔ nsapan.
And he proceeded to send to them another servant, and they beating and dishonoring him sent him away empty.
12 Ɔsane somaa ɔsomfoɔ foforɔ na ɔno mpo deɛ, wɔpirapiraa no pamoo no.
And he proceeded to send a third: and wounding him, they cast him out also.
13 “Yei maa bobefuo wura no kaa sɛ, ‘Ɛdeɛn na menyɛ bio? Mɛsoma me ba a medɔ no no akɔ wɔn nkyɛn na ɔno deɛ ebia, wɔbɛfɛre no.’
And the lord of the vineyard said, What shall I do? I will send my own beloved son: perchance seeing, they will reverence him.
14 “Nanso, ɛberɛ a apaafoɔ no hunuu no no, wɔkaa sɛ, ‘Ɔdedifoɔ no nie, momma yɛnkum no na yɛmfa nʼagyapadeɛ no.’
And the husbandmen, seeing him, reasoned among themselves saying, This is the heir; let us kill him, in order that the inheritance may be ours.
15 Wɔtwee no firii afuo no mu kɔkumm no. “Mogye di sɛ ɛdeɛn na afuowura no bɛyɛ saa apaafoɔ yi?
And casting him out from the vineyard they slew him; what then will the lord of the vineyard do?
16 Ɔbɛba abɛkum saa apaafoɔ yi na ɔde afuo no ama afoforɔ.” Nnipa a wɔretie Yesu no kaa sɛ, “Ɛmpare yɛn!”
He will come and destroy those husbandmen, and will give the vineyard to others. And hearing, they said, Let it not be so.
17 Yesu hwɛɛ wɔn dinn bisaa wɔn sɛ, “Ɛnneɛ na deɛ wɔatwerɛ sɛ, “‘Ɛboɔ a adansifoɔ apo no, ɛno ara na abɛyɛ tweatiboɔ’ no aseɛ ne sɛn?
And looking upon them, He said, What is that which has been written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same has come to be the head of the corner.
18 Obiara a ɔbɛhwe ɛboɔ no so no, ɔbɛbubu na deɛ ɛboɔ no bɛhwe ne so no, ɛbɛpɛkyɛ no.”
Every one having fallen on that stone will be dashed to pieces; and on whomsoever it may fall, it will grind him to powder.
19 Esiane sɛ Atwerɛsɛm no akyerɛkyerɛfoɔ ne asɔfoɔ mpanin no hunuu sɛ Yesu buu ɛbɛ no tiaa wɔn enti, wɔhwehwɛɛ ɛkwan a wɔbɛfa so akyere no saa ɛberɛ no ara mu, nanso ɛsiane nnipa a na wɔwɔ hɔ no enti, na wɔsuro.
And the chief priests and scribes sought to lay hands on Him at this hour, and feared the people; for they knew that He spoke this parable against them.
20 Esiane sɛ ɔpɛ ara na na nnipa no pɛ sɛ wɔkyere Yesu enti, wɔtetɛɛ no maa nnipa bi kɔɔ ne nkyɛn sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a wɔbɛnya nʼanom asɛm bi agyina so akyere no na wɔde no akɔ aban mu.
And laying in wait for Him, they sent sharpers, feigning themselves to be righteous, that they might catch his word, in order to turn Him over to the government and authority of the proconsul.
21 Saa nnipa yi bisaa Yesu sɛ, “Ɔkyerɛkyerɛfoɔ, yɛnim sɛ woyɛ ɔnokwafoɔ, wonyɛ nyiyimu na wokyerɛ nokorɛ kwan a wɔnam so kɔ Onyankopɔn nkyɛn.
They asked Him saying, Teacher, we know that thou dost speak and teach correctly; and thou dost not receive the face; but thou dost teach the way of God in truth:
22 Enti, ɛyɛ sɛ yɛtua toɔ ma Kaesare aban anaasɛ ɛnyɛ?”
is it lawful for us give tribute to Caesar, or not?
23 Yesu hunuu wɔn adwemmɔne no, ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ,
And He knowing their rascality, said to them, Why tempt ye me?
24 “Momma me sika. Hwan mfoni ne din na ɛwɔ so yi?” Wɔbuaa no sɛ, “Ɛyɛ Kaesare dea.”
Show me the denarion. Whose image and superscription has it? And they responding said, Caesar's.
25 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Ɛnneɛ momfa Kaesare deɛ mma Kaesare na momfa Onyankopɔn deɛ mma Onyankopɔn.”
And He said to them, Therefore render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's, and unto God the things which are God's.
26 Yesu mmuaeɛ a ɔmaa wɔn no yɛɛ wɔn nwanwa na wɔn adwemmɔne no nso kaa wɔn tirim.
And they were not able to criticise His word before the people: and being astonished at His answer, they were silent.
27 Sadukifoɔ bi a wɔnnye owusɔreɛ nni baa Yesu nkyɛn bɛbisaa no sɛ,
And certain ones of the Sadducees, who deny that there is a resurrection, coming forward asked Him,
28 “Ɔkyerɛkyerɛfoɔ, Mose mmara no kyerɛ yɛn sɛ, sɛ ɔbarima bi wɔ yere na ɔne no anwo na ɔwu a, ne nua tumi ware no ne no wo mma ma owufoɔ no.
saying, Teacher, Moses wrote to us, That if the brother of any one may die having a wife, and the same may die childless, that his brother must take his wife and raise up seed to his brother.
29 Anuanom baason bi tenaa ase. Ɔpanin a ɔwɔ mu no waree ɔbaa a ɔne no anwo na ɔwuiɛ.
Then there were seven brothers; and the first receiving a wife died childless.
30 Ne nua a ɔdi nʼakyi no, waree no nanso ɔne no anwo na ɔwuiɛ.
And the second
31 Anuanom a wɔaka no nyinaa nso waree no a obiara ne no anwo, na wɔwuwuiɛ.
and the third received her, and likewise also the seven; they left no children and died.
32 Akyire no, ɔbaa no nso wuiɛ.
Last of all the woman also died.
33 Yɛn asɛmmisa ne sɛ, ɛsiane sɛ ɔbaa yi waree anuanom yi nyinaa enti, owusɔreɛ da no, wɔn mu hwan na ɔbaa yi bɛyɛ ne yere?”
Therefore in the resurrection of which one of them is she the wife? for the seven had her a wife.
34 Yesu buaa sɛ, “Asase yi so na nnipa dwene awadeɛ ho. (aiōn )
And responding Jesus said to them, The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage, (aiōn )
35 Na wɔn a owusɔreɛ da no wɔbɛnya kwan akɔ Onyankopɔn Ahennie no mu deɛ, awadeɛ ho renhia wɔn. (aiōn )
but those counted worthy to attain that age and the resurrection, which is from the dead, (aiōn )
36 Na owuo nso nni hɔ mma wɔn bio, ɛfiri sɛ, wɔbɛyɛ sɛ ɔsoro abɔfoɔ. Esiane sɛ wɔasɔre afiri awufoɔ mu no enti, wɔyɛ Onyankopɔn mma.
neither marry nor are given in marriage; for they are not able yet to die; for they are like the angels, and sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
37 Afei, mo asɛmmisa a ɛfa owusɔreɛ ho no nso, Mose ma yɛhunuu no pefee sɛ, owusɔreɛ wɔ hɔ. Ɛfiri sɛ, nʼasɛm a ɔtwerɛ faa wira a na ɛrederɛ no ho no ɔbɔɔ Abraham Onyankopɔn, Isak Onyankopɔn ne Yakob Onyankopɔn din.
But that the dead are raised, Moses also mentioned at the Bush, when he says; The Lord, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
38 Yei kyerɛ sɛ, Onyankopɔn yɛ ateasefoɔ Onyankopɔn na ɔnyɛ awufoɔ Onyankopɔn, ɛfiri sɛ, obiara a ɔde ne ho to Onyankopɔn so no, sɛ ɔwu mpo a, ɔbɛnya nkwa a ɛnni awieeɛ.”
He is not the God of the dead but of the living; for all live unto Him.
39 Atwerɛsɛm no akyerɛkyerɛfoɔ no mu bi kaa sɛ, “Ɔkyerɛkyerɛfoɔ, woabua no yie.”
And certain of the scribes responding said; Teacher, you spoke beautifully.
40 Na obiara antumi ammisa no asɛm biara bio.
And they no longer dared to ask Him anything.
41 Yesu bisaa wɔn sɛ, “Adɛn enti na wɔka sɛ Kristo no yɛ Dawid ba?”
And He said to them; How do they say that the Christ is the son of David?
42 Ɛfiri sɛ Dawid ka wɔ ne Nnwom no mu sɛ, “Awurade ka kyerɛɛ me wura sɛ. ‘Tena me nifa so
And David himself says in the Book of the Psalms, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
43 kɔsi sɛ mɛma woadi wʼatamfoɔ so nkonim.’
until I may make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet.
44 Sɛ Dawid frɛ Kristo no ‘Me wura’ a, ɛyɛ dɛn na Kristo no ayɛ ne ba?”
Therefore David calls Him Lord, and how is He his son?
45 Ɛberɛ a nnipa no retie no no, Yesu danee nʼani ka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafoɔ no sɛ,
And all the people hearing, He said to His disciples,
46 “Monhwɛ mo ho so yie wɔ Atwerɛsɛm no akyerɛkyerɛfoɔ no ho. Ɛberɛ biara wɔpɛ sɛ wɔhyɛ ntadeɛ pa, hwehwɛ sɛ nnipa hu wɔn badwa mu a, wɔde obuo kyea wɔn, na sɛ wɔkɔ asɔredan mu nso a, wɔtena mpanin tenabea. Saa ara nso na sɛ wɔkɔ apontoɔ ase a, wɔtena mpanin tenabea.
Beware of the scribes, wishing to walk about in robes, and loving salutations in the forums, and the first seats in the synagogues, and the first couches at the suppers,
47 Wɔbɔ mpaeɛ hunu atentene kyerɛ nnipa sɛ wɔresom Onyankopɔn, nanso wɔsisi akunafoɔ. Yei enti wɔbɛnya asotwe a emu yɛ duru.”
Who devour the houses of the widows, and pray long through pretext; they shall receive the greater judgment.
