1 Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Mose sɛ, “Ka kyerɛ Israelfoɔ no sɛ,
And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
2 ‘Mene Awurade mo Onyankopɔn,

5 Sɛ modi so a, mobɛnya nkwa. Mene Awurade.
And ye shall keep my statutes, and my ordinances, which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the Lord.
6 “‘Mo mu biara nni ho ɛkwan sɛ ɔware obusuani a ɔbɛn no. Mene Awurade.
None of you shall approach to any that are near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the Lord.
7 “‘Ɛnsɛ sɛ abaayewa ware nʼagya anaasɛ ɔbabarima ware ne maame.
The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
8 “‘Anaa nʼagya yerenom mu bi.
The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.

The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or the daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, —even the nakedness of any of these shalt thou not uncover.
10 “‘Ɛnsɛ sɛ moware mo nanabaa, sɛ ɔyɛ mo babarima babaa anaa mo babaa babaa, ɛfiri sɛ, ɔyɛ obusuani.
The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter, —even the nakedness of any of these, shalt thou not uncover; for theirs is thy own nakedness.
11 “‘Ɛnsɛ sɛ woware wo nuabaa a ɔyɛ wʼagya yerenom bi babaa.
The nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, —thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
12 “‘Anaa wo sewaa—wo agya nuabaa, ɛfiri sɛ, ɔyɛ wʼagya abusuani pɛɛ.
The nakedness of thy father's sister shalt thou not uncover: she is thy father's near kinswoman.
13 “‘Saa ara na ɛnsɛ sɛ woware wo maame a ɔyɛ wo maame nuabaa, ɛfiri sɛ, ɔyɛ wo maame abusuani pɛɛ.
The nakedness of thy mother's sister shalt thou not uncover; for she is thy mother's near kinswoman.
14 “‘Wʼagya nuabarima yere nso, wonni ho ɛkwan sɛ woware no.
The nakedness of thy father's brother shalt thou not uncover: his wife shalt thou not approach, she is thy aunt.
15 “‘Wonni ho ɛkwan sɛ woware wo babarima yere, ɛfiri sɛ, ɔyɛ wʼase.
The nakedness of thy daughter-in-law shalt thou not uncover: she is thy son's wife, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
16 “‘Saa ara nso na wontumi nnware wo nuabarima yere, ɛfiri sɛ, ɔyɛ wo nuabarima dea.
The nakedness of thy brother's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy brother's nakedness.

The nakedness of a woman and her daughter shalt thou not uncover: her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter shalt thou not take, to uncover her nakedness; for they are near kinswomen; it is incest.
18 “‘Ɛnsɛ sɛ woware anuanom mmaa baanu, ɛfiri sɛ, wɔbɛtwe kora. Na sɛ ɛba sɛ wo yere wu na woware ne nuabaa bi deɛ a, ɛyɛ.
And a woman together with her sister shalt thou not take, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other, in her lifetime.
19 “‘Ɛnsɛ sɛ wofa ɔbaa a wakɔ afikyire.
And a woman in the separation of her uncleanness shalt thou not approach, to uncover her nakedness.
20 “‘Ɛnsɛ sɛ wofa wo yɔnko yere de gu wo ho fi.
And with thy neighbor's wife shalt thou not lie carnally, to defile thyself with her.
21 “‘Mfa wo mma mu biara mma Molek na ɔmmfa no mmɔ afɔdeɛ wɔ n’afɔrebukyia so. Ngu wo Onyankopɔn din ho fi, ɛfiri sɛ, mene Awurade.
And any of thy seed shalt thou not let pass through [the fire] to Molech, and thou shalt not profane the name of thy God: I am the Lord.
22 “‘Ɔbarima a ɔne ne yɔnko barima da yɛ akyiwadeɛ kɛseɛ na ɛyɛ bɔne a ɛso nso.
And with a man shalt thou not lie, as with a woman: it is an abomination.
23 “‘Ɛnsɛ sɛ ɔbarima fa aboa de gu ne ho fi. Saa ara nso na ɛnsɛ sɛ ɔbaa de ne ho ma aboanini ma ɔfa no. Ɛyɛ akyiwadeɛ kɛseɛ.
And with any beast shalt thou not lie to defile thyself therewith; neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.
24 “‘Monngu mo ho fi wɔ saa akwan ahodoɔ yi biara so na yeinom ne deɛ abosonsomfoɔ yɛ. Esiane sɛ wɔyɛ saa enti, merebɛyi wɔn afiri asase a morekɔ so no so.
Do not defile yourselves through any of these things.; for through all these have become defiled the nations which I cast out before you:
25 Saa ahohwibra no agu ɔman mu no nyinaa ho fi; ɛno enti na meretwe nnipa a wɔte hɔ no aso na mɛyi wɔn afiri asase no so.
And the land became defiled; wherefore I have visited its iniquity upon it, and the land itself vomited out its inhabitants.
26 Ɛsɛ sɛ modi me mmara ne mʼahyɛdeɛ no nyinaa so pɛpɛɛpɛ na ɛnsɛ sɛ moyɛ saa akyiwadeɛ yi mu bi koraa. Saa mmara yi ka mo a wɔwoo mo Israelman mu ne ahɔhoɔ a wɔne mo te nyinaa.
Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my ordinances, and ye shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor the stranger that sojourneth among you;
27 Ampa ara, ɛfiri sɛ daa nnipa a wɔte saa asase a mede mo rekɔ so no so yɛ saa akyiwadeɛ yi enti, asase no ho agu fi.
(For all these abominations have the men of the land done, who were before you, and the land hath become defiled; )
28 Monnyɛ saa adeɛ no bi, anyɛ saa a, mɛpam mo afiri asase no so sɛdeɛ mɛyɛ wɔn a wɔte hɔ seesei no.
That the land may not vomit you out also, when ye defile it, as it hath vomited out the nations that were before you.
29 “‘Obiara a ɔbɛyɛ akyiwadeɛ yi mu bi no, wɔbɛtwa no asuo afiri ɔman yi mu.
For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, — even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.
30 Enti monhwɛ sɛ mobɛdi me mmara no so na monnyɛ saa abusudeɛ kɛseɛ yi bi. Monnkɔyɛ abususɛm a wɔn a wɔte asase a morekɔ so no yɛ no bi mmfa ngu mo ho fi. Mene Awurade mo Onyankopɔn.’”
Therefore shall ye keep my charge, so that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye do not defile yourselves therewith: I am the Lord your God.
