< Yosua 15 >

1 Asase a wɔde maa mmusua a wɔbom yɛ Yuda abusuakuo no kɔduruu Edom ɛhyeɛ so wɔ anafoɔ fam, na Sin ɛserɛ so na ɛkɔpem.
And the lot for the tribe of the sons of Judah, for their families, is unto the border of Edom; the wilderness of Zin southward, at the extremity of the south;
2 Anafoɔ fam ɛhyeɛ no hyɛɛ aseɛ wɔ Nkyene Ɛpo no mpoano a ɛwɔ anafoɔ fam,
and to them the south border is at the extremity of the salt sea, from the bay which is looking southward;
3 tene faa Akrabbim kɔsii Sin ɛserɛ so. Ɛtoaa so kɔɔ Kades-Barnea anafoɔ fam kɔsii Hesron. Afei ɛkɔɔ soro kɔsii Adar, ɛnna ɛdane kɔɔ Karka.
and it hath gone out unto the south to Maaleh-Akrabbim, and passed over to Zin, and gone up on the south to Kadesh-Barnea, and passed over [to] Hezron, and gone up to Adar, and turned round to Karkaa,
4 Ɛtwaam kɔɔ Asmon kɔduruu Misraim asuwa no ho, na ɛfaa ho ara kɔwiee wɔ ɛpo kɛseɛ no mu. Yei ne wɔn anafoɔ fam ɛhyeɛ.
and passed over [to] Azmon, and gone out [at] the brook of Egypt, and the outgoings of the border have been at the sea; this is to you the south border.
5 Apueeɛ fam ɛhyeɛ no firi Nkyene Ɛpo no kɔduru Asubɔnten Yordan ano. Atifi fam ɛhyeɛ no firi beaeɛ a Asubɔnten Yordan bɔ Nkyene Ɛpo no mu,
And the east border [is] the salt sea, unto the extremity of the Jordan, and the border at the north quarter [is] from the bay of the sea, at the extremity of the Jordan;
6 na ɛtwam kɔ Bet-Hogla, na afei akɔ Bet-Araba atifi fam, akɔka Bohan boɔ no ho. Na Bohan yɛ Ruben babarima.
and the border hath gone up [to] Beth-Hoglah, and passed over on the north of Beth-Arabah, and the border hath gone up [to] the stone of Bohan son of Reuben:
7 Ɛfiri hɔ a, ɛkɔfa Akɔr bɔnhwa no mu kɔka Debir, na ɛdane wɔ atifi fam kyerɛ Gilgal, a ɛtwam firi Adumim nsianeɛ mu wɔ anafoɔ fam wɔ bɔnhwa no nkyɛn mu. Ɛfiri hɔ a, ɛhyeɛ no tene kɔsi En-Semes nsuo no ano, na akɔpem En-Rogel.
and the border hath gone up towards Debir from the valley of Achor, and northward looking unto Gilgal, which [is] over-against the ascent of Adummim, which [is] on the south of the brook, and the border hath passed over unto the waters of En-Shemesh, and its outgoings have been unto En-Rogel;
8 Afei, ɛhyeɛ no fa Hinom babarima bɔnhwa no mu, kɔfa Yebusifoɔ anafoɔ nsianeɛ so, deɛ Yerusalem kuropɔn no da. Afei ɛkɔ atɔeɛ fam wɔ bepɔ no apampam, toa so kɔ Hinom bɔnhwa no so kɔsi Refaim bɔnhwa ano wɔ atifi fam.
and the border hath gone up the valley of the son of Hinnom, unto the side of the Jebusite on the south (it [is] Jerusalem), and the border hath gone up unto the top of the hill-country which [is] on the front of the valley of Hinnom westward, which [is] in the extremity of the valley of the Rephaim northward;
9 Ɛfiri hɔ a, ɛhyeɛ no toa so kɔfa bepɔ no apampam kɔ Neftoa asuo no asutire no ho. Ɛfiri hɔ kɔ nkuro a ɛdeda Efron bepɔ so no. Na ɛhima kɔ Baala (a ɛyɛ Kiriat-Yearim.)
and the border hath been marked out, from the top of the hill-country unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and hath gone out unto the cities of mount Ephron, and the border hath been marked out [to] Baalah, (it [is] Kirjath-Jearim);
10 Ɛhyeɛ no twa fa Baala ho wɔ atɔeɛ fam kɔsi bepɔ Seir so, ɛkɔ ara kɔsi Kesalon kurom wɔ bepɔ Yearim atifi nsianeɛ so, na akɔ fam akɔsi Bet-Semes ne Timna.
and the border hath gone round from Baalah westward, unto mount Seir, and passed over unto the side of mount Jearim (it [is] Chesalon), on the north, and gone down [to] Beth-Shemesh, and passed over to Timnah;
11 Ɛhyeɛ no kɔ ara kɔsi bepɔ no nsianeɛ a ɛwɔ Ekron atifi fam, baabi a ɛdane hwɛ Sikron ne Baala bepɔ no. Ɛtra Yabneel na akɔpem Ɛpo Kɛseɛ no.
and the border hath gone out unto the side of Ekron northward, and the border hath been marked out [to] Shicron, and hath passed over to mount Baalah, and gone out [to] Jabneel; and the outgoings of the border have been at the sea.
12 Na atɔeɛ fam ɛhyeɛ no nso ne Ɛpo Kɛseɛ no mpoanompoano. Yeinom ne mmusua a wɔbɔ mu yɛ Yuda mmusuakuo no ahyeɛ.
And the west border [is] to the great sea, and [its] border; this [is] the border of the sons of Judah round about for their families.
13 Awurade hyɛɛ Yosua sɛ ɔmfa Yuda asase no bi mma Yefune babarima Kaleb. Enti, wɔde kuropɔn Arba (a ɛyɛ Hebron) a wɔde too Anak tete agya no maa no.
And to Caleb son of Jephunneh hath he given a portion in the midst of the sons of Judah, according to the command of Jehovah to Joshua, [even] the city of Arba, father of Anak — it [is] Hebron.
14 Na Kaleb tuu Sesai, Ahiman ne Talmai a wɔyɛ Anak asefoɔ no firii hɔ.
And Caleb is dispossessing thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, children of Anak,
15 Afei, ɔko tiaa nnipa a na wɔte kuro Debir (a kane no na wɔfrɛ no Kiriat-Sefer) no.
and he goeth up thence unto the inhabitants of Debir; and the name of Debir formerly is Kirjath-Sepher.
16 Kaleb kaa sɛ, “Obiara a ɔbɛto ahyɛ Kiriat-Sefer so na wafa no, mede me babaa Aksa bɛma no aware.”
And Caleb saith, 'He who smiteth Kirjath-Sephar, and hath captured it — I have given to him Achsah my daughter for a wife.'
17 Ɛnna Kaleb nua Kenas babarima Otniel dii so enti, Aksa bɛyɛɛ Otniel yere.
And Othniel son of Kenaz, brother of Caleb, doth capture it, and he giveth to him Achsah his daughter for a wife.
18 Aksa waree Otniel no, ɔhyɛɛ no sɛ ɔmmisa nʼagya Kaleb na ɔmfa asase no bi nka ho. Aksa firii nʼafunumu so sii fam no, Kaleb bisaa no sɛ, “Asɛm bɛn? Ɛdeɛn na menyɛ mma wo?”
And it cometh to pass, in her coming in, that she persuadeth him to ask from her father a field, and she lighteth from off the ass, and Caleb saith to her, 'What — to thee?'
19 Ɔka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Hyira me bio. Woayɛ adom ama me Asase wɔ Negeb; ma me nsuwansuwa asase nso.” Enti, Kaleb maa no atifi ne anafoɔ fam nsuwansuwa asase.
And she saith, 'Give to me a blessing; when the land of the south thou hast given me, then thou hast given to me springs of waters;' and he giveth to her the upper springs and the lower springs.
20 Yei ne mmusua a wɔbɔ mu yɛ Yuda abusuakuo no agyapadeɛ.
This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Judah, for their families.
21 Na Yudafoɔ nkuro a ɛdeda Edom ahyeɛ so wɔ anafoɔ pɛɛ no ne: Kabseel ne Eder ne Yagur,
And the cities at the extremity of the tribe of the sons of Judah are unto the border of Edom in the south, Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur,
22 Kina ne Dimona ne Adada,
and Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,
23 Kedes ne Hasor ne Itnan,
and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan,
24 Sif ne Telem ne Bealot,
Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth,
25 Hasor-Hadata ne ne Keriot Hesron (a ɛne Hasor),
and Hazor, Hadattah, and Kerioth, Hezron, (it [is] Hazor, )
26 Amam ne Sema ne Molada,
Amam, and Shema, and Moladah,
27 Hasar-Gada ne Hesmon ne Bet-Pelet,
and Hazar-Gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-Palet,
28 Hasar-Sual ne Beer-Seba ne Bisotia,
and Hazar-Shual, and Beer-Sheba, and Bizjothjah,
29 Baala ne Iim ne Esem,
Baalah, and Iim, and Azem,
30 El-Tolad ne Kesil ne Horma,
And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah,
31 Siklag ne Madmana ne Sansana,
and Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah,
32 Lebaot ne Silhim ne Ain ne Rimon. Na saa nkuro yi nyinaa ne wɔn nkuraaseɛ a atwa ho ahyia dodoɔ yɛ aduonu nkron.
and Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon; all the cities [are] twenty and nine, and their villages.
33 Saa nkuro a na ɛwɔ atɔeɛ fam nkokoɔ no so a wɔde maa Yuda nie: Estaol ne Sora ne Asna.
In the low country: Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah,
34 Sanoa ne En-Ganim, Tapua ne Enam,
and Zanoah, and En-Gannim, Tappuah, and Enam,
35 Yarmut ne Adulam, Soko ne Aseka,
Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,
36 Saaraim ne Aditaim ne Gedera ne Gederotaim. Saa nkuro yi ne nkuraaseɛ a atwa ho ahyia nyinaa dodoɔ yɛ dunan.
and Sharaim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen cities and their villages.
37 Deɛ ɛka ho bio ne Senan ne Hadasa ne Migdal-gad,
Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal-Gad,
38 Dilean ne ne Mispe ne Yokteel,
and Dilean, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,
39 Lakis ne Boskat ne Eglon,
Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon,
40 Kabon ne Lahmam ne Kitlis,
and Cabbon, and Lahmam, and Kithlish,
41 Gederot, Bet-Dagon ne Naama ne Makeda. Saa nkuro yi ne nkuraaseɛ a atwa ho ahyia nyinaa dodoɔ yɛ dunsia.
and Gederoth, Beth-Dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities and their villages.
42 Yeinom akyi no na Libna ne Eter ne Asan,
Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan,
43 Yifta ne Asna ne Nesib,
and Jiphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib,
44 Keila ne Aksib ne Maresa ka ho. Saa nkuro yi ne nkuraaseɛ a atwa ho ahyia nyinaa dodoɔ yɛ nkron.
and Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities and their villages.
45 Ekron nkuro ne nkuraaseɛ nyinaa ka Yuda asase ho,
Ekron and its towns and its villages,
46 ɛfiri Ekron no, ɛhyeɛ no trɛ de kɔ atɔeɛ fam a nkuro a ɛbɛn Asdod ne wɔn nkuraaseɛ a atwa ho ahyia ka ho.
from Ekron and westward, all that [are] by the side of Ashdod, and their villages.
47 Saa ara na Asdod nkuro ne ne nkuraaseɛ, Gasa nkuro ne ne nkuraaseɛ kɔsi Misraim asuwa no, de kɔfa Ɛpo Kɛseɛ no mpoano ka ho.
Ashdod, its towns and its villages, Gaza, its towns and its villages, unto the brook of Egypt, and the great sea, and [its] border.
48 Yuda sane nyaa nkuro a ɛdidi so yi a na ɛwɔ nkokoɔ asase so: Samir ne Yatir ne Soko,
And in the hill-country: Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh,
49 Dana ne Kiriat-Sana a ɛne Debir,
and Dannah, and Kirjath-Sannah (it [is] Debir)
50 Anab ne Estemo ne Anim,
and Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim,
51 Gosen ne Holon ne Gilo, Saa nkuro yi ne nkuraaseɛ a atwa ho ahyia nyinaa dodoɔ yɛ dubaako.
and Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven cities and their villages.
52 Na saa nkuro yi ka ho: Arab ne Duma ne Esan,
Arab, and Dumah, and Eshean,
53 Yanum ne Bet-Tapua ne Afeka,
and Janum, and Beth-Tappuah, and Aphekah,
54 Humta ne Kiriat-Arba (a ɛyɛ Hebron) ne Sior. Nkuro nkron ne ne nkuraaseɛ atwa ho ahyia.
and Humtah, and Kirjath-Arba (it [is] Hebron), and Zior; nine cities and their villages.
55 Nkuro a ɛdidi soɔ yi nso ka ho: Maon, Karmel, Sif ne Yuta,
Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Juttah,
56 Yesreel ne Yokdeam ne Sanoa,
and Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah,
57 Kain, Gibea ne Timna, nkuro edu ne ne nkuraaseɛ a atwa ho ahyia.
Cain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities and their villages.
58 Bio Halhul, Bet-Sur ne Gedor,
Halhul, Beth-Zur, and Gedor,
59 Maarat ne Bet-Anot ne Eltekon ka ho, nkuro nsia ne ne nkuraaseɛ atwa ho ahyia.
and Maarath, and Beth-Anoth, and Eltekon; six cities and their villages.
60 Saa ara na Kiriat-Baal (a ɛne Kiriat-Yearim) ne Raba ka ho, nkuro mmienu ne ne nkuraaseɛ atwa ho ahyia.
Kirjath-Baal (it [is] Kirjath-Jearim), and Rabbah; two cities and their villages.
61 Ɛserɛ so nkuro no nso ne: Bet-Araba, Midin ne Sekaka,
In the wilderness: Beth-Arabah, Middin, and Secacah,
62 Nibsan ne Nkyene kuropɔn no ne En-Gedi, nkuro nsia ne ne nkuraaseɛ atwa ho ahyia.
and Nibshan, and the city of Salt, and En-Gedi; six cities and their villages.
63 Na Yebusifoɔ a wɔte Yerusalem no deɛ, Yuda abusuakuo no antumi antu wɔn enti, Yebusifoɔ ne Yuda abusuakuo no tenaeɛ de bɛsi ɛnnɛ.
As to the Jebusites, inhabitants of Jerusalem, the sons of Judah have not been able to dispossess them, and the Jebusite dwelleth with the sons of Judah in Jerusalem unto this day.
