< Yohane 6 >
1 Yei akyi, Yesu twaa Galilea Po a wɔsane frɛ no Tiberia Po no.
After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias.
2 Esiane sɛ nkurɔfoɔ hunuu sɛ Yesu nam anwanwakwan so asa nnipa pii yadeɛ no enti, wɔdii nʼakyi.
And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he performed on them that were diseased.
3 Yesu ne nʼasuafoɔ no kɔɔ bepɔ bi so kɔtenaa hɔ kakra.
And Jesus went up on a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.
4 Saa ɛberɛ no na Twam Afahyɛ no abɛn.
And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was near.
5 Ɛberɛ a Yesu twaa nʼani, hunuu sɛ nnipakuo no reba ne nkyɛn no, ɔbisaa Filipo sɛ, “Ɛhe na yɛbɛnya aduane ama saa nnipa dodoɔ yi?”
When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come to him, he saith to Philip, Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?
6 Yesu bisaa Filipo saa asɛm yi de sɔɔ no hwɛeɛ, ɛfiri sɛ, na ɔnim deɛ ɔbɛyɛ.
And this he said to test him: for he himself knew what he would do.
7 Filipo buaa sɛ, “Ansa na yɛbɛtumi ama saa nnipa dodoɔ yi aduane no, ɛsɛ sɛ yɛnya abosome nwɔtwe akatua.”
Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.
8 Andrea a ɔyɛ Simon Petro nua no kaa sɛ,
One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, saith to him,
9 “Abarimaa bi wɔ ha a ɔwɔ burodo enum ne nkyenam mmienu; na yei bɛtumi aso nnipa dodoɔ yi di?”
There is a lad here, who hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?
10 Yesu hyɛɛ nʼasuafoɔ no sɛ, “Momma obiara ntena ase.” Asuafoɔ no ma wɔtenatenaa ɛserɛ no so. Na mmarima a wɔwɔ wɔn mu no dodoɔ bɛyɛ mpemnum.
And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.
11 Yesu faa burodo no bɔɔ mpaeɛ na ɔkyɛ maa wɔn. Ɔfaa saa ɛkwan korɔ no ara so kyɛɛ nkyenam no nso maa wɔn.
And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were sitting down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
12 Wɔdidi meeɛ akyi no, Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ “Mommoaboa aduane a aka no ano na ebi ansɛe.”
When they were filled, he said to his disciples, Gather the fragments that remain, that nothing may be lost.
13 Wɔboaboaa aduane a ɛkaeɛ no ano no, ɛyɛɛ nkɛntɛmma dumienu.
Therefore they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above to them that had eaten.
14 Nnipa no hunuu nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ a Yesu ayɛ no, wɔkaa sɛ, “Ampa ara, onipa yi ne odiyifoɔ a yɛrehwɛ no ɛkwan no.”
Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus performed, said, This is truly that prophet that should come into the world.
15 Yesu hunuu sɛ nnipa no ayɛ wɔn adwene sɛ wɔbɛkyere no asi no ɔhene no, ɔtwee ne ho firii wɔn mu kɔɔ bepɔ no so bio.
When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again to a mountain himself alone.
16 Onwunu dwoeɛ no, Yesu asuafoɔ no kɔɔ Galilea mpoano.
And when evening had now come, his disciples went down to the sea,
17 Wɔtwɛn kɔsii sɛ adeɛ saeɛ na ɔmma no, wɔkɔtenaa kodoɔ mu sɛ wɔrekɔ Kapernaum.
And entered into a boat, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus had not come to them.
18 Saa ɛberɛ no na ahum retu wɔ ɛpo so ama ɛpo no so ayɛ gyabagyaba.
And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew.
19 Wɔhare kɔɔ wɔn anim bɛyɛ akwansini mmiɛnsa anaa ɛnan no, wɔhunuu sɛ obi nam ɛpo no so reba; yei maa ehu kaa wɔn kɔsii sɛ,
So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing near to the boat: and they were afraid.
20 Yesu kaa sɛ, “Ɛyɛ me, Monnsuro!”
But he saith to them, It is I; be not afraid.
21 Asuafoɔ no pɛɛ sɛ anka wɔde no tena kodoɔ no mu, nanso ntɛmpa ara kodoɔ no kɔduruu Kapernaum.
Then they willingly received him into the boat: and immediately the boat was at the land where they were going.
22 Adeɛ kyeeɛ no, nnipa a na wɔwɔ Galilea ɛpo no agya no hunuu sɛ kodoɔ baako pɛ na na ɛwɔ hɔ, nanso asuafoɔ no tenaa mu kɔeɛ a na Yesu nka wɔn ho.
The day following, when the people who stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other boat there, except that one into which his disciples had entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples had gone away alone;
23 Ankyɛre koraa na akodoɔ foforɔ bi firi Tiberia baa faako a Awurade maa nnipakuo no aduane diiɛ no.
( However there came other boats from Tiberias near to the place where they ate bread, after the Lord had given thanks: )
24 Ɛberɛ a nnipa no hunuu sɛ Yesu ne nʼasuafoɔ no nni hɔ no, wɔtenatenaa akodoɔ no mu sɛ wɔrekɔ Kapernaum akɔhwehwɛ no.
When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took boats, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.
25 Wɔduruu Kapernaum na wɔhunuu Yesu no, wɔbisaa no sɛ, “Ɔkyerɛkyerɛfoɔ, ɛberɛ bɛn na wobaa ha?”
And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said to him, Rabbi, when camest thou here?
26 Yesu buaa wɔn sɛ, “Mereka nokorɛ akyerɛ mo sɛ, ɛnyɛ sɛ mohunuu anwanwadeɛ a meyɛeɛ no enti na morehwehwɛ me, na mmom, sɛ monyaa aduane di meeɛ no enti.
Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say to you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye ate of the loaves, and were filled.
27 Monnsɛe mo berɛ nyinaa mmpere nhwehwɛ aduane a ɛtumi sɛe no akyiri kwan, na mmom, mompere nhwehwɛ aduane a ɛtena hɔ daa a ɛma nkwa a ɛnni awieeɛ a Onipa Ba no de bɛma mo no akyiri kwan. Ɛfiri sɛ, yei enti na mʼAgya somaa me.” (aiōnios )
Labour not for the food which perisheth, but for that food which endureth to everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give to you: for him hath God the Father sealed. (aiōnios )
28 Nnipa no bisaa no sɛ, “Ɛdeɛn na yɛnyɛ na yɛasɔ Onyankopɔn ani?”
Then said they to him, What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?
29 Yesu buaa wɔn sɛ, “Yei ne deɛ Onyankopɔn pɛ sɛ moyɛ, monnye deɛ wasoma no no nni.”
Jesus answered and said to them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
30 Nnipa no bisaa no bio sɛ, “Anwanwadeɛ bɛn na wobɛyɛ akyerɛ yɛn ama yɛagye wo adi?
They said therefore to him, What sign showest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?
31 Sɛ wopɛ sɛ yɛgye wo di sɛ wone Agyenkwa no deɛ a, ɛnneɛ ma yɛn aduane nni daa sɛdeɛ Atwerɛsɛm no di ho adanseɛ sɛ, Mose maa yɛn nananom ɔsoro aduane dii wɔ ɛserɛ so no.”
Our fathers ate manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.
32 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Mereka nokorɛ akyerɛ mo sɛ, ɛnyɛ Mose na ɔmaa mo nananom aduane a ɛfiri ɔsoro no dii ɛserɛ so hɔ no na mmom, ɛyɛ mʼAgya. Na afei deɛ, ɔma mo aduane a ɛfiri ɔsoro a ɛma nkwa a ɛnni awieeɛ no di daa.
Then Jesus said to them, Verily, verily, I say to you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.
33 Saa aduane a ɛfiri Onyankopɔn nkyɛn no ne onipa a ɔfiri ɔsoro ba asase so na ɔde nkwa brɛ ewiase no.”
For the bread of God is he who cometh down from heaven, and giveth life to the world.
34 Nnipa no ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Owura, ma yɛn saa aduane no bi nni daa.”
Then said they to him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
35 Yesu kaa sɛ, “Mene burodo a ɛma nkwa no. Obiara a ɔba me nkyɛn na ɔgye me di no, ɛkɔm anaa osukɔm renne no da.
And Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
36 Sɛdeɛ maka akyerɛ mo no, moahunu me nnwuma, nanso monnye me nni.
But I said to you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.
37 Obiara a mʼAgya de no ama me no bɛba me nkyɛn, na obiara a ɔbɛba me nkyɛn nso no, merempam no.
All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will by no means cast out.
38 Na mefiri ɔsoro baa asase so sɛ merebɛyɛ deɛ ɔsomaa me no apɛdeɛ, na ɛnyɛ mʼapɛdeɛ.
For I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him that sent me.
39 Na deɛ ɔsomaa me no apɛdeɛ ne sɛ, mɛhwɛ wɔn a ɔde wɔn ama me no nyinaa so yie na da a ɛdi akyire no, manyane wɔn ama wɔn nkwa foforɔ.
And this is the Father’s will who hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise them up again at the last day.
40 MʼAgya apɛdeɛ ne sɛ, obiara a ɔba me nkyɛn na ɔgye me di no bɛnya nkwa a ɛnni awieeɛ, na da a ɛdi akyire no, manyane no ama no nkwa foforɔ.” (aiōnios )
And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one who seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. (aiōnios )
41 Yudafoɔ no tee sɛ Yesu aka sɛ, “Mene aduane a ɛfiri ɔsoro” no, wɔnwiinwiiɛ.
The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.
42 Wɔkɔɔ so kaa sɛ, “Ɛnyɛ Yosef ne Maria ba ne saa Yesu yi? Ɛyɛɛ dɛn na ɔtumi ka sɛ ɔfiri ɔsoro na ɔbaeɛ?”
And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?
43 Yesu buaa wɔn sɛ, “Monnyae anwiinwii no.
Jesus therefore answered and said to them, Murmur not among yourselves.
44 Mommma ɛnnyɛ mo nwanwa sɛ maka saa, na obiara nni hɔ a ɔbɛtumi aba me nkyɛn, gye sɛ Agya no a ɔsomaa me no twe no ba me ho, na da a ɛdi akyire no, mɛnyane no.
No man can come to me, except the Father who hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
45 Adiyifoɔ no twerɛɛ sɛ, ‘Onyankopɔn ankasa bɛkyerɛkyerɛ ne mma.’ Ɛno enti, obiara a ɔtie Agya no nkyerɛkyerɛ no ba me nkyɛn.
It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught from God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned from the Father, cometh to me.
46 Asɛm a maka yi nkyerɛ sɛ obi ahunu Agya no pɛn, gye onipa a ɔfiri Agya no nkyɛn no.
Not that any man hath seen the Father, except he who is from God, he hath seen the Father.
47 Mereka nokwasɛm akyerɛ mo sɛ, obiara a ɔgye me di a ɛma nkwa a ɛfiri no nya nkwa a ɛnni awieeɛ. (aiōnios )
Verily, verily, I say to you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. (aiōnios )
48 Mene burodo a ɛma nkwa no.
I am that bread of life.
49 Mo nananom dii mana wɔ ɛserɛ so, nso wɔwuwuiɛ,
Your fathers ate manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
50 nanso burodo a ɛfiri ɔsoro ba no yɛ burodo a obi di a ɔrenwu da.
This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat of it, and not die.
51 Mene burodo a ɛfiri ɔsoro no; sɛ obi di saa burodo yi a, ɔbɛtena ase daa. Burodo a mede bɛma obiara a ɔba me nkyɛn no, ne me honam a mede ma, sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ na ewiase bɛnya nkwa.” (aiōn )
I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man shall eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. (aiōn )
52 Asɛm a Yesu kaeɛ yi maa Yudafoɔ no bo fuiɛ ma wɔbisabisaa wɔn ho wɔn ho sɛ, “Ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na saa onipa yi atumi de ne honam ama yɛn sɛ aduane ama yɛadi?”
The Jews therefore began to dispute among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
53 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Mereka nokwasɛm akyerɛ mo; moanni Onipa Ba no honam sɛ aduane na moannom ne mogya a, morennya nkwa a ɛnni awieeɛ.
Then Jesus said to them, Verily, verily, I say to you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
54 Obiara a ɔdi me honam sɛ aduane na ɔnom me mogya no nya nkwa a ɛnni awieeɛ, na da a ɛdi akyire no, mɛnyane no ama no nkwa foforɔ. (aiōnios )
Whoever eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. (aiōnios )
55 Me honam ne aduane pa no, na me mogya nso ne nsu pa no.
For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 Obiara a ɔdi me honam sɛ aduane na ɔnom me mogya sɛ nsuo no te me mu, na me nso mete ne mu.
He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
57 Sɛdeɛ Agya teasefoɔ no somaa me na ɔno enti, mete ase no, saa ara nso na obiara a ɔdi me honam sɛ aduane no, me enti, ɔbɛtena ase.
As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
58 Yei ne burodo a ɛfiri ɔsoro baeɛ. Ɛnte sɛ mana a yɛn nananom dii wɔ ɛserɛ so na wɔwuwuiɛ no. Saa burodo yi deɛ, obiara a ɔbɛdi bi no bɛtena ase daa.” (aiōn )
This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers ate manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever. (aiōn )
59 Ɛberɛ a na Yesu rekyerɛkyerɛ wɔ hyiadan mu wɔ Kapernaum no na ɔkaa saa nsɛm yi.
These things he said in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.
60 Yesu akyidifoɔ no mu pii tee asɛm a ɔkaeɛ no, wɔkaa sɛ, “Saa asɛm yi deɛ, ɛkyere yɛn adwene. Hwan na ɔbɛte aseɛ?”
Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
61 Yesu hunuu sɛ nʼakyidifoɔ no renwiinwii no, ɔbisaa wɔn sɛ, “Asɛm a mekaeɛ yi to mo suntidua anaa?
When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said to them, Doth this offend you?
62 Ɛnneɛ, ɛba sɛ Onipa Ba no resane akɔ ɔsoro, faako a ɔfiri baeɛ no a, ɛdeɛn na mobɛyɛ?
What if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
63 Onyankopɔn honhom na ɛma nkwa. Onipa ntumi mma nkwa. Nsɛm a maka akyerɛ mo yi yɛ honhom na nkwa wɔ mu,
It is the spirit that giveth life; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak to you, they are spirit, and they are life.
64 nanso mo mu bi nnye nni.” Ɛfiri ahyɛaseɛ no na Yesu hunuu wɔn a wɔnnye no nni ne wɔn a wɔbɛtwe wɔn ho afiri ne ho.
But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who he was that would betray him.
65 Ɔkɔɔ so kaa sɛ, “Yei enti na meka kyerɛɛ mo sɛ, obi ntumi mma me nkyɛn gye sɛ Agya no ama no ho ɛkwan” no.
And he said, Therefore I said to you, that no man can come to me, except it were given to him by my Father.
66 Esiane saa nsɛm a Yesu kaeɛ no enti, nʼakyidifoɔ no mu pii twee wɔn ho firii ne ho na wɔanni nʼakyi bio.
From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
67 Yesu hunuu saa no, ɔbisaa asuafoɔ dumienu no sɛ, “Mo nso mobɛgyae mʼakyidie anaa?”
Then said Jesus to the twelve, Will ye also go away?
68 Simon Petro buaa no sɛ, “Awurade, hwan nkyɛn na yɛbɛkɔ? Wo na wowɔ nsɛm a ɛwɔ nkwa a ɛnni awieeɛ. (aiōnios )
Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. (aiōnios )
69 Na yɛgye wo nsɛm no di na yɛnim sɛ wone Onyankopɔn Ba Kronkron no.”
And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
70 Yesu kɔɔ so kaa sɛ, “Me ara na meyii mo dumienu yi, nanso mo mu baako yɛ ɔbonsam.”
Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
71 Asɛm a Yesu kaeɛ no, na ɛfa Yuda a ɔyɛ Simon Iskariot ba no a ɔyɛ asuafoɔ dumienu no mu baako a ɔbɛyi Yesu ama no ho.
He spoke of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for it was he that was to betray him, being one of the twelve.
