< Yohane 19 >

1 Pilato ma wɔbɔɔ Yesu mmaa.
Then Pilate therefore took Yahushua, and scourged him.
2 Asraafoɔ no de nkasɛɛ nwonoo ahenkyɛ de hyɛɛ Yesu; afei, wɔde atadeɛ kɔkɔɔ nso hyɛɛ no.
And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,
3 Wɔdii ne ho fɛw, bobɔɔ no asotorɔ, kaa sɛ, “Yudafoɔ ɔhene, wo nkwa so!”
And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands.
4 Pilato firii adi kɔka kyerɛɛ ɛdɔm no bio sɛ, “Mɛsane de no abrɛ mo ama moahunu sɛ menni asɛm biara a mɛgyina so abu no fɔ.”
Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him.
5 Ɛberɛ a Yesu firii adi baeɛ no, na ɔhyɛ ahenkyɛ a wɔde nkasɛɛ anwono ne atadeɛ kɔkɔɔ. Pilato ka kyerɛɛ dɔm no sɛ, “Onipa no ni!”
Then came Yahushua forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!
6 Ɛberɛ a asɔfoɔ mpanin ne awɛmfoɔ no hunuu Yesu no, wɔteateaam sɛ, “Bɔ no asɛnnua mu! Bɔ no asɛnnua mu!” Pilato ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Mo ara ankasa momfa no nkɔ nkɔbɔ no asɛnnua mu, ɛfiri sɛ, menni asɛm biara a mɛgyina so abu no fɔ.”
When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him.
7 Yudafoɔ no buaa sɛ, “Yɛwɔ mmara a ɛkyerɛ sɛ, ɛsɛ sɛ ɔwu, ɛfiri sɛ, ɔkaa sɛ, ɔyɛ Onyankopɔn Ba.”
The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of Elohim.
8 Ɛberɛ a Pilato tee asɛm a wɔkaeɛ no, ɔbɔɔ hu yie.
When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he was the more afraid;
9 Ɔsane kɔɔ ahemfie hɔ kɔbisaa Yesu sɛ, “Ɛhe na wofiri?” Nanso Yesu ammua no.
And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Yahushua, Whence art thou? But Yahushua gave him no answer.
10 Pilato bisaa no sɛ, “Woremmua me anaa? Ɛsɛ sɛ wohunu sɛ, mewɔ tumi sɛ megyaa wo na mewɔ tumi nso sɛ mema wɔbɔ wo asɛnnua mu!”
Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee?
11 Yesu buaa no sɛ, “Sɛ Onyankopɔn amfa saa tumi no amma wo a, anka wonni me so tumi biara. Enti onipa a ɔde me brɛɛ wo no na wayɛ bɔne a ɛso.”
Yahushua answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.
12 Ɛberɛ a Pilato tee asɛm a Yesu kaeɛ no, ɔhwehwɛɛ ɛkwan bi a ɔbɛfa so agyaa no. Nanso, Yudafoɔ no teateaam sɛ, “Sɛ wogyaa no a, na wonyɛ Kaesare adamfo! Obiara a ɔyɛ ne ho ɔhene no tia Kaesare!”
And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar's friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar.
13 Ɛberɛ a Pilato tee asɛm a Yudafoɔ no kaeɛ no, ɔde Yesu firii adi na ɔbɛtenaa nʼatemmuo adwa so wɔ faako a wɔfrɛ hɔ Aboɔ Nsɛmeeɛ, a Hebri kasa mu, ɛyɛ “Gabata.”
When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Yahushua forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.
14 Adeɛ rebɛkye ama Twam Afahyɛ no aduru so no, ɛbɛyɛ owigyinaeɛ no. Pilato ka kyerɛɛ Yudafoɔ no sɛ, “Mo ɔhene no ni!”
And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!
15 Ɛdɔm no nso teateaa mu bio sɛ, “Fa no kɔ! Bɔ no asɛnnua mu!” Pilato bisaa wɔn sɛ, “Mopɛ sɛ mebɔ mo ɔhene no asɛnnua mu anaa?” Asɔfoɔ mpanin no kaa sɛ, “Yɛn ɔhene a yɛwɔ ara ne Kaesare!”
But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priest answered, We have no king but Caesar.
16 Afei, Pilato de Yesu maa Yudafoɔ no sɛ wɔnkɔbɔ no asɛnnua mu.
Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Yahushua, and led him away.
17 Enti, wɔde Yesu a nʼasɛnnua da ne kɔn ho no kɔɔ kuro no mfikyire baabi a wɔfrɛ hɔ “Nitire So” hɔ, a Hebri kasa mu ɛyɛ “Golgota.”
And he bearing his stake went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:
18 Ɛhɔ na wɔbɔɔ Yesu asɛnnua mu. Wɔbɔɔ nnipa baanu bi nso asɛnnua mu kaa ne ho. Na ɔbaako sɛn ne benkum so ɛnna ɔbaako nso sɛn ne nifa so a Yesu sɛn wɔn mfimfini.
Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Yahushua in the midst.
19 Pilato twerɛɛ sɛ: Yesu Nasareni, Yudafoɔ Ɔhene maa wɔde taree nʼasɛnnua no atifi.
And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the stake. And the writing was, Yahushua OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.
20 Esiane sɛ faako a wɔbɔɔ Yesu asɛnnua mu ne kuro no mu ɛkwan nware, na bio wɔatwerɛ nsɛm no wɔ Hebri, Roma ne Hela kasa mu no enti, nnipa bebree hunu kenkaneeɛ.
This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Yahushua was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.
21 Yudafoɔ asɔfoɔ mpanin no ka kyerɛɛ Pilato sɛ, “Ntwerɛ sɛ, ‘Yudafoɔ ɔhene’ na mmom twerɛ sɛ, ‘Saa ɔbarima yi na ɔkaa sɛ, mene Yudafoɔ ɔhene!’”
Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.
22 Pilato kaa sɛ, “Deɛ matwerɛ no, matwerɛ.”
Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.
23 Asraafoɔ no bɔɔ Yesu asɛnnua mu wieeɛ no, wɔkyɛɛ ne ntadeɛ mu maa asraafoɔ ɛnan no. Na saa atadeɛ no yɛ atadeɛ bi a, wɔanwono firi ne ɔsoro kɔsi ne fam a ɛnni mpameeɛ.
Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Yahushua, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
24 Asraafoɔ no nyinaa kaa sɛ, “Mommma yɛnntete mu. Momma yɛmmɔ so ntonto na yɛnhunu onipa a ɔbɛnya.” Adeɛ a wɔyɛeɛ yi sii sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a Atwerɛsɛm a ɛka sɛ, “Wɔkyekyɛɛ me ntadeɛ mu, bɔɔ so ntonto faeɛ” no bɛba mu. Deɛ asraafoɔ no yɛeɛ ne no.
They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.
25 Nnipa a na wɔgyina Yesu asɛnnua no ho pɛɛ no ne ne maame, ne maame nuabaa, Maria, a ɔyɛ Kleopa yere ne Maria Magdalene.
Now there stood by the stake of Yahushua his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.
26 Yesu hunuu ne maame ne osuani a ɔdɔ no no sɛ wɔgyina hɔ no, ɔka kyerɛɛ ne maame sɛ, “Ɔbaa, wo ba nie.”
When Yahushua therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!
27 Afei, ɔka kyerɛɛ osuani no sɛ, “Wo maame nie.” Ɛfiri saa ɛberɛ no, osuani no faa no ne no kɔtenaeɛ.
Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
28 Saa ɛberɛ no, Yesu hunuiɛ sɛ afei deɛ biribiara aba nʼawieeɛ, na sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a Atwerɛsɛm no bɛba mu no enti, ɔkaa sɛ, “Osukɔm de me.”
After this, Yahushua knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.
29 Wɔde sapɔ a ɛtua hisope ano bɔɔ nsã a emu keka mu de kaa nʼano.
Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.
30 Yesu nom wieeɛ no, ɔkaa sɛ, “Mawie!” Ɔkaa yei wieeɛ no, ɔsii ne ti ase na ɔgyaee ne honhom mu.
When Yahushua therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the spirit.
31 Na da no yɛ ahosiesie da, na Yudafoɔ mpanimfoɔ no mpɛ sɛ wɔma amu no sensɛn asɛnnua no so kɔsi nʼadekyeeɛ a wɔbɛdi Twam Afahyɛ no. Enti, wɔkɔka kyerɛɛ Pilato sɛ wɔpɛ sɛ wɔbubu nnipa no nan sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a wɔbɛtumi ayiyi wɔn amu no afiri asɛnnua no so.
The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the stake on the Sabbath day, (for that Sabbath day was an high day, ) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
32 Asraafoɔ no kɔbubuu ɔbarima a ɔdi ɛkan a ɔka nnipa baanu a wɔbɔɔ wɔne Yesu asɛnnua mu ho no nan; wɔwieeɛ no, wɔkɔbubuu ɔbarima a ɔtɔ so mmienu no nso nan.
Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him.
33 Nanso wɔduruu Yesu so no, wɔhunuu sɛ ɔno deɛ, na wawu dada enti wɔammubu ne nan bi.
But when they came to Yahushua, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:
34 Asraafoɔ no mu baako de ne pea wɔɔ ne mfe maa mogyasufi firi ne mfe mu baeɛ.
But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
35 Onipa a ɔhunuu deɛ ɛsiiɛ no na wadi ho adanseɛ. Nʼadanseɛ no yɛ nokorɛ, sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a mo nso mobɛgye adi.
And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.
36 Yeinom nyinaa sii sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, Atwerɛsɛm a ɛka sɛ, “Wɔremmu ne dompe bi”
For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.
37 ne “Nnipa bɛhwɛ deɛ wɔwɔɔ ne mfe mu pea” no bɛba mu.
And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.
38 Yei akyi no, Yosef a ɔfiri Arimatea a ɛsiane Yudafoɔ ho hu enti, na ɔyɛ Yesu suani wɔ kɔkoam no kɔsrɛɛ Pilato sɛ ɔmma no ɛkwan na ɔnkɔyi Yesu amu no. Pilato penee nʼadesrɛ no so. Ɛno enti, ɔkɔyii Yesu amu no.
And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Yahushua, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Yahushua: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Yahushua.
39 Nikodemo a da bi anadwo ɔkɔɔ Yesu nkyɛn no nso de kurobo ne aduhwam mfrafraeɛ a emu duru bɛyɛ kilogram aduasa mmiɛnsa baeɛ.
And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Yahushua by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight.
40 Wɔn baanu no de nwera ne aduhwam mfrafraeɛ no kyekyeree Yesu amu no sɛdeɛ Yudafoɔ ɛkwan a wɔfa so sie wɔn amu no teɛ no.
Then took they the body of Yahushua, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.
41 Na ɔboda foforɔ bi a wɔnsiee obi wɔ mu da wɔ turo bi a ɛbɛn baabi a wɔbɔɔ Yesu asɛnnua mu no.
Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid.
42 Esiane sɛ na saa ɔboda no bɛn no enti, wɔsiee Yesu amu no wɔ hɔ.
There laid they Yahushua therefore because of the Jews' preparation day; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.
