< Yohane 17 >
1 Yesu kaa saa nsɛm yi wieeɛ no, ɔhwɛɛ ɔsoro bɔɔ mpaeɛ sɛ, “Agya, ɛberɛ no aduru. Hyɛ wo Ba no animuonyam, na Ɔba no nso nhyɛ wo animuonyam.
These things spake Jesus; and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that the Son may glorify thee:
2 Womaa no nnipa nyinaa so tumi sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, ɔbɛma wɔn a wode wɔn maa no no nkwa a ɛnni awieeɛ. (aiōnios )
even as thou gavest him authority over all flesh, that whatsoever thou hast given him, to them he should give eternal life. (aiōnios )
3 Na ɛkwan a wɔnam so bɛnya nkwa a ɛnni awieeɛ ne sɛ, wɔbɛhunu Onyankopɔn korɔ nokwafoɔ no, ne Yesu Kristo a wosomaa no baa asase so no! (aiōnios )
And this is life eternal, that they should know thee the only true God, and him whom thou didst send, [even] Jesus Christ. (aiōnios )
4 Medaa wʼanimuonyam adi kyerɛeɛ wɔ asase so na mewiee adwuma a wode hyɛɛ me nsa no yɛ.
I glorified thee on the earth, having accomplished the work which thou hast given me to do.
5 Na afei, Agya, fa animuonyam a mewɔ wɔ wʼanim ansa na worebɔ ewiase no hyɛ me wɔ wʼanim ha.
And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
6 “Mama nnipa a na anka wɔte ewiase a wode wɔn hyɛɛ me nsa no ahunu wo. Na wɔyɛ wo dea na wode wɔn maa me. Wɔatie wʼasɛm.
I manifested thy name unto the men whom thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them to me; and they have kept thy word.
7 Afei, wɔahunu sɛ biribiara a wode maa me no firi wo nkyɛn.
Now they know that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are from thee:
8 Mekaa asɛm a woka kyerɛɛ me sɛ menka nkyerɛ wɔn no kyerɛɛ wɔn na wɔtieeɛ. Wɔnim sɛ ɛyɛ nokorɛ sɛ mefiri wo nkyɛn na mebaeɛ. Na wɔgye di sɛ wo na wosomaa me.
for the words which thou gavest me I have given unto them; and they received [them], and knew of a truth that I came forth from thee, and they believed that thou didst send me.
9 Mebɔ mpaeɛ ma wɔn. Memmɔ mpaeɛ mma wɔn a wɔnnye wʼasɛm nni, na mmom, nnipa a wode wɔn maa me no na mebɔ mpaeɛ ma wɔn, ɛfiri sɛ, wɔyɛ wo dea.
I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me; for they are thine:
10 Biribiara a mewɔ no yɛ wo dea na biribiara a wowɔ no nso yɛ me dea. Ɛnam yeinom so ama manya animuonyam.
and all things that are mine are thine, and thine are mine: and I am glorified in them.
11 Na afei, merefiri ewiase, na magya wɔn wɔ akyire aba wo nkyɛn. Agya kronkron, wɔn a wode wɔn maa me no, fa wo din a tumi wɔ mu no bɔ wɔn ho ban na wɔayɛ baako sɛdeɛ wo ne me yɛ baako no.
And I am no more in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we [are].
12 Ɛberɛ a me ne wɔn wɔ hɔ no, mede tumi a wode maa me no hwɛɛ wɔn so. Mebɔɔ wɔn ho ban, na wɔn mu biara annyera, gye onipa a ɛsɛ sɛ ɔyera no nko ara, sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, Atwerɛsɛm no bɛba mu.
While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast given me: and I guarded them, and not one of them perished, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
13 “Afei mereba wo nkyɛn. Maka saa nsɛm yi nyinaa ɛberɛ a meda so wɔ ewiase yi sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, mʼanigyeɛ bɛhyɛ wɔn ma.
But now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
14 Mekaa wʼasɛm kyerɛɛ wɔn na ewiasefoɔ tanee wɔn, ɛfiri sɛ, wɔmfiri ewiase sɛdeɛ me nso memfiri ewiase no.
I have given them thy word; and the world hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15 Memmisa wo sɛ yi wɔn firi ewiase, na mmom, mesrɛ sɛ, bɔ wɔn ho ban firi ɔbonsam nsam.
I pray not that thou shouldest take them from the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil [one].
16 Sɛdeɛ memfiri ewiase no, saa ara nso na wɔmfiri ewiase.
They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17 Fa wo nsɛm a ɛyɛ nokorɛ no kyerɛkyerɛ wɔn na ɛnte wɔn ho, na ɛnyɛ wɔn kronkron.
Sanctify them in the truth: thy word is truth.
18 Sɛdeɛ wosomaa me baa ewiase no, saa ara na me nso meresoma wɔn akɔ ewiase.
As thou didst send me into the world, even so sent I them into the world.
19 Wɔn enti, mede me ho ma wo sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, wɔn nso de wɔn ho nyinaa bɛma wo.
And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.
20 “Memmɔ mpaeɛ mma wɔn nko. Mebɔ mpaeɛ ma wɔn a wɔnam asuafoɔ asɛm a wɔbɛka no so agye adi no nso.
Neither for these only do I pray, but for them also that believe on me through their word;
21 Mebɔ mpaeɛ sɛ wɔn nyinaa bɛyɛ baako. Agya, sɛdeɛ wowɔ me mu na me nso mewɔ wo mu no, saa ara nso na ma wɔntena yɛn mu. Ma wɔn nyinaa nyɛ baako sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, ewiase bɛgye adi sɛ, wo na wosomaa me.
that they may all be one; even as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be in us: that the world may believe that thou didst send me.
22 Mede animuonyam a wode hyɛɛ me a ɛmaa me ne wo yɛɛ baako no ahyɛ wɔn sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, wɔn nso, wɔbɛyɛ baako sɛdeɛ yɛn nso yɛyɛ baako no.
And the glory which thou hast given me I have given unto them; that they may be one, even as we [are] one;
23 Mewɔ wɔn mu na wo nso wowɔ me mu, sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, wɔn nyinaa bɛyɛ baako na ewiase ahunu sɛ, wo na wosomaa me na wodɔ wɔn sɛdeɛ wodɔ me no
I in them, and thou in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that thou didst send me, and lovedst them, even as thou lovedst me.
24 “Agya, mepɛ sɛ wɔn a wode wɔn maa me no bɛka me ho wɔ faako a mewɔ no, na wɔahunu mʼanimuonyam, animuonyam a wode maa me no, ɛfiri sɛ, wodɔ me ansa na wobɔɔ ewiase.
Father, that which thou hast given me, I will that, where I am, they also may be with me; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
25 “Agya kronkron, ewiase nnim wo, nanso me deɛ, menim wo; na asuafoɔ yi nim sɛ wo na wosomaa me.
O righteous Father, the world knew thee not, but I knew thee; and these knew that thou didst send me;
26 Mama wɔahunu sɛdeɛ wo te na mɛkɔ so ayɛ saa daa, sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, ɔdɔ a wodɔ me no bɛtena wɔn nso mu na me nso, matena wɔn nso mu bi.”
and I made known unto them thy name, and will make it known; that the love wherewith thou lovedst me may be in them, and I in them.
