< Yohane 15 >
1 “Mene nokorɛ bobe no, na mʼAgya ne okuafoɔ no.
"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.
2 Dua aban biara a ɛnso aba no, ɔtwa twene, na dua aban biara a ɛso no, ɔyiyi ho na aso aba bebree.
Every branch in me that does not bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
3 Me nsɛm a maka akyerɛ mo no ama mo ho ate dada.
You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
4 Montena me mu na me nso mentena mo mu. Dua aban biara ankasa rentumi nso aba gye sɛ ɛfam ne dutan ho. Saa ara nso na morentumi nso aba gye sɛ mote me mu.
Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me.
5 “Mene bobe no; na mone dua aban no. Obiara a ɔte me mu na mete ne mu no bɛso aba bebree; sɛ mokwati me a, morentumi nyɛ hwee.
I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
6 Obiara a ɔntena me mu no te sɛ dua aban a wɔatwa ato atwene a ɛho nni mfasoɔ; ɛwo a, wɔboaboa ano de gu ogya mu hye.
If anyone does not remain in me, he is thrown out as a branch, and withers; and they gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 Sɛ mote me mu na me nsɛm nso tena mo mu a, ɛnneɛ biribiara a mopɛ a mobɛbisa no, wɔde bɛma mo.
If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.
8 Wɔn a wɔyɛ mʼasuafoɔ nokorɛ mu no so aba bebree de hyɛ mʼAgya animuonyam.
"In this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.
9 “Sɛdeɛ Agya no dɔ me no, saa ara nso na me nso medɔ mo, Montena me dɔ mu.
Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love.
10 Sɛ modi mʼahyɛdeɛ so a, mobɛtena me dɔ mu sɛdeɛ madi mʼAgya ahyɛdeɛ so na ɛno enti ɔda so dɔ me no.
If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and remain in his love.
11 Maka yeinom nyinaa akyerɛ mo sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a mobɛnya mʼanigyeɛ no bi na ama mo anigyeɛ awie pɛyɛ.
I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.
12 Mʼahyɛdeɛ ne sɛ, monnodɔ mo ho mo ho sɛdeɛ medɔ mo no.
"This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you.
13 Ɔdɔ biara nsene sɛ obi bɛwu ama ne nnamfonom.
Greater love has no one than this, that someone lays down his life for his friends.
14 Sɛ modi deɛ mehyɛ mo sɛ monyɛ no so a, na moyɛ me nnamfonom.
You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you.
15 Memfrɛ mo nkoa bio, ɛfiri sɛ, akoa nnim deɛ ne wura reyɛ. Mmom, mefrɛ mo nnamfo, ɛfiri sɛ, maka biribiara a mete firii mʼAgya no nkyɛn akyerɛ mo.
No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from my Father I have made known to you.
16 Ɛnyɛ mo na moyii me; me na meyii mo na memaa mo adwuma sɛ monkɔyɛ na monso aba pa bebree. Na biribiara a mode me din bɛbisa Agya no no, ɔde bɛma mo.
You did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
17 Yei na mehyɛ mo; monnodɔ mo ho.
"I command these things to you, that you may love one another.
18 “Sɛ ewiase tane mo a, monkae sɛ me na ɛtanee me kane ansa na ɛretane mo.
If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you.
19 Sɛ mote ase ma ewiase a, ɛnneɛ ewiase bɛdɔ mo sɛ wɔn a wɔyɛ ne dea. Nanso, meyii mo firii ewiasefoɔ mu, ɛno enti, monyɛ ewiasefoɔ bio; yei enti na ewiasefoɔ tan mo no.
If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
20 Monkae asɛm a meka kyerɛɛ mo no: ‘Akoa nsene ne wura.’ Sɛ wɔtan me a, mo nso, wɔbɛtan mo; sɛ wɔtie mʼasɛm a meka no a, mo nso, wɔbɛtie mo.
Remember the word that I said to you: 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will keep yours also.
21 Esiane sɛ moyɛ me dea enti na wɔbɛtaa mo, ɛfiri sɛ, wɔnnim Onyankopɔn a ɔsomaa me no.
But all these things will they do to you because of my name, because they do not know him who sent me.
22 Sɛ memmɛkaa asɛm biara nkyerɛɛ wɔn a, anka wɔrenni bɔne ho fɔ. Afei deɛ wɔnni wɔn bɔne ho anoyie biara.
If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have had sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.
23 Obiara a ɔtan me no tan mʼAgya nso.
He who hates me hates my Father also.
24 Sɛ manyɛ nnwuma a obiara nyɛɛ bi da no wɔ wɔn mu a, anka wɔrenni bɔne ho fɔ; nanso wɔahunu deɛ meyɛeɛ, nso wɔtan me ne mʼAgya.
If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would not have had sin. But now have they seen and also hated both me and my Father.
25 Ɛsɛ sɛ yei ba mu sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a deɛ wɔatwerɛ wɔ wɔn Mmara no mu a ɛka sɛ, ‘Wɔtan me kwa’ no bɛba mu.
But this happened so that the word may be fulfilled which is written in their law, 'They hated me without a cause.'
26 “Mɛsoma ɔboafoɔ a ɔyɛ nokorɛ Honhom a ɔfiri Agya no nkyɛn no aba mo nkyɛn na wabɛdi me ho adanseɛ akyerɛ mo.
"When the Helper has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me.
27 Na mo nso mobɛdi me ho adanseɛ, ɛfiri sɛ, me ne mo na ɛwɔ hɔ firi ahyɛaseɛ pɛɛ.”
And you will also testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.
