< Hiob 42 >
1 Na Hiob buaa Awurade sɛ,
Then Job answered Yhwh, and said,
2 “Menim sɛ wotumi yɛ nneɛma nyinaa; obiara rentumi nsɛe wo nhyehyɛeɛ.
I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.
3 Wobisa sɛ, ‘Hwan ni a ɔnni nimdeɛ nso ɔsi mʼafotuo ho ɛkwan?’ Ampa ara mekaa nneɛma a mente aseɛ ho nsɛm, nneɛma a ɛyɛ nwanwa ma me.
Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
4 “Wokaa sɛ, ‘Tie na menkasa; mɛbisa wo nsɛm na ɛsɛ sɛ woma me mmuaeɛ.’
Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will ask of thee, and declare thou unto me.
5 Mate wo nka pɛn, na seesei deɛ, mʼani ahunu wo.
I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.
6 Ɛno enti mebu me ho animtiaa na mete mfuturo ne nsõ mu de kyerɛ mʼahonu.”
Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.
7 Na Awurade kaa nsɛm yi kyerɛɛ Hiob wieeɛ no, Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Temanni Elifas sɛ, “Me bo afu wo ne wo nnamfonom baanu no, ɛfiri sɛ, moanka me ho asɛm a ɛyɛ nokorɛ sɛdeɛ me ɔsomfoɔ Hiob kaeɛ no.
And it was so, that after Yhwh had spoken these words unto Job, Yhwh said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.
8 Afei, momfa anantwie nson ne nnwennini nson, na monkɔ me ɔsomfoɔ Hiob nkyɛn, na monkɔbɔ ɔhyeɛ afɔdeɛ mma mo ho. Me ɔsomfoɔ Hiob bɛbɔ mpaeɛ ama mo, na mɛtie ne mpaeɛbɔ no na merenyɛ mo sɛdeɛ ɛfata mo nkwaseasɛm no. Nsɛm a moka faa me ho no nyɛ nokorɛ sɛdeɛ me ɔsomfoɔ Hiob yɛeɛ no.”
Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.
9 Enti, Temanni Elifas ne Suhini Bildad ne Naamani Sofar yɛɛ sɛdeɛ Awurade hyɛɛ wɔn no, na Awurade tiee Hiob mpaeɛbɔ.
So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as Yhwh commanded them: Yhwh also accepted Job.
10 Hiob bɔɔ mpaeɛ maa ne nnamfonom akyi no, Awurade sane yɛɛ no ɔdefoɔ bio na ɔde nʼahodeɛ a na ɔwɔ kane no mmɔho mmienu maa no.
And Yhwh turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also Yhwh gave Job twice as much as he had before.
11 Afei, ne nuammarima, ne nuammaa nyinaa ne obiara a na ɔnim no dada no baa ne fie ne no bɛdidiiɛ. Wɔkyekyeree ne werɛ wɔ amanehunu a Awurade ma ɔkɔɔ mu no ho, na wɔn mu biara brɛɛ no dwetɛ ne sikakɔkɔɔ kawa.
Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that Yhwh had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.
12 Awurade hyiraa Hiob nkwa awieeɛ senee ne ahyɛaseɛ. Ɔnyaa nnwan ɔpedunan, nyoma mpem nsia, anantwinini mpamho apem ne mfunumu abereɛ apem.
So Yhwh blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she donkeys.
13 Bio ɔnyaa mmammarima baason ne mmammaa baasa.
He had also seven sons and three daughters.
14 Ɔtoo ne babaa piesie no edin Yemima, na deɛ ɔdi soɔ no Kesia na deɛ ɔtɔ so mmiɛnsa no de Keren-Hapuk.
And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Keren–happuch.
15 Asase no so nyinaa, na mmaa biara nni hɔ a wɔn ho yɛ fɛ sɛ Hiob mmammaa no, na wɔn agya de wɔn kaa wɔn nuammarima no ho maa wɔn agyapadeɛ.
And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.
16 Yei akyiri no, Hiob dii mfirinhyia ɔha aduanan; ɔhunuu ne mma ne ne mmanana awoɔ ntoatoasoɔ ɛnan.
After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons’ sons, even four generations.
17 Afei ɔwuiɛ a na wayɛ akora pa ara.
So Job died, being old and full of days.
